A sedate hotel. More suited to those living on a very low budget and used too basic rooms. The telephones don't work in the rooms. (They are unplugged). The changing of bed linen is every several days, which would suit people who are low on personal hygiene. The staff have very poor grasp of English, the menu is basic, The manager is very helpful, though I think k his previous employment was possible as a security guard, maybe a shop worked as he stares at everything and everyone. Situated nowhere near the beach. It does have the ambience of 1 day away from closing. It comes across more a pickup joint or meeting place place for English women to meet the Turkish local young men. The swimming pool is small but ideal for relaxing in.

2 stars hotel. It has a small pool. The rooms are not quite representable but cheap and good for a vacation with friends.

Been here 26 days another 15 to go lovely friendly hotel clean as a whistle no hassle breakfast either Turkish included or English for less than a pint good prices at the. Bar, staff attentive an polite, what more could u ask. Beach 500 yds, carry on golden star u doing good.

Staff were great with us, very friendly would stay here again not a 5 star hotel but very good owners made us feel very welcome and were always very polite with us when some guests that also were staying there made us feel uncomfortable and were rude towards us the staff made up for it. Great cocktails and food was good too.

Great location, lovely owners, hotel nice and clean, friendly staff, will definitely stay there again. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Huge thankyou to Memhet and all his staff for looking after us so well for the last 15 days. The food is amazing and so cheap in this hotel and the drinks are genuine and good measures. We had a fantastic top floor apartment with 3 big balconies, it was fantastic and we can't wait to come back to stay in June. See u soon peeps xxxx.

Just waiting for my transport home from the golden star. This was my first trip to marmaris and the staff here have made it an amazing time. It isnt a 5 star hotel so if thats what you want dont book here. What it is is a friendly, clean and comfortable place to stay. The food and drinks are good and not expensive. Its a 5 minute walk from the beach and shops. And I met some amazing people here. Thank you team golden star for making my holiday great.

A great hotel in excellent location, staff good fun and helpful, bar and food prices good value for money the English breakfast was fantastic and well worth the £2.70 atmosphere round pool and bar great and easy to meet people and make friends. Hotel very clean and a great price much better than I had expected I definitely be booking again.

The best holiday ive had so far all staff was so helpful and when I broke my foot on a night out in a restaurant the staff have done nothing but run round after me, I couldnt ask for a better hotel mehmet and tony was lovely at all times nothing too much trouble for any of the boys got my breakfast for me each morning and met some amazing people here all single travellers will definitely be returning back here x.

Right where do I start! I'm sat on my bed on the last morning, all packed and ready to check out and I could cry! I've had the best holiday ever, the hotel is basic yes, if u want a 5 star experience then book a 5 star hotel… I am not a snob, and I don't expect a lot for £2 a night so I couldn't be happier with what I had here. I had a clean room, with maid service, I had a working shower and breakfast was included in the price! The staff are friendly, and helpful and go out of their way to learn your name and make u feel part of their family. I don't understand any of the bad reviews because I honestly can't imagine these people doing the things they have been accused of. Whilst I was here, I stayed alone, as did my friend and at least 10 other people we got talking too, so plenty of opportunity for the wrong person to take advantage, but no I felt safer than I do in my own home. The staff were respectful and dealt with any incidents (there were a few) in a professional manner. I am baffled as to how they manage to make a profit and pay staff with the prices being as low as they are, the service they provide is worth far more than what they are charging, and I would of happily paid £20 a night. Because the hotel is small, it is so easy to make friends, so ideal for ppl travelling alone. I have made some friends for life here.

I've stayed in many hotels in Marmaris twice in Golden Star now.
I have jist returned from this one last night.
It is basic. Central to shops and beach. From my last visit before in 2017 there have been many changes put in place to improve the hotel and the service. Refurbished in some areas and more staff employed to help run the place.
Some expectations from guests seem so high and unreasonable
When you consider how much you pay to stay there. Accept it for what it is and stop moaning.
I paid £17 for 7 nights. I had a shower. Clean towels and a clean bed. A clean pool. The staff were always friendly and would help were possible.
I don't normally eat at hotels, I did this visit and the food was lovely.
The negative would be the noise at night. This is from guests though drunk aggressive and under the influence which cant be blamed on Hotel itself. Why wouldn't people be asked to leave for that behaviour. Any hotel would ask you to leave.
So in all. It is what it is. My experience was a good one.

By far the worst hotel experiences ive ever had in my life. The problems were as follows: 1) The manager Mehmed was extremely rude and always seemed annoyed at even the smallest of tasks, like when we asked him for the Wi-Fi he gave out a massive sigh and held his face in his hands almost as if we had caused him great grief. 2) Mehmed is a real cheapskate. Would turn the water off after a certain time so you cant use the water in the night. 3) Took 3 days to come and fix the t. V. And that was only because on the 3rd day we bought it up in front of a group of customers. 4) Didn't replace the lightbulb in our room after it went out and we brought it to his attention. 5) Always served the same stale, disgusting breakfast everyday — pieces of hard bread accompanied by nasty butter. 6) The rooms in the hotel are extremely cramped and quite frankly really ugly. Pay more and go to a better hotel 7) Bathroom lock never worked for any of the 3 rooms we booked 8) Wifi was only available in the lobby.

Lovely quiet hotel open all year. Nice staff.

The same breakfast every morning wish I hadn't paid half board as we ended up eating from outside anyway. There was just no choice of food. Having to pay for our water with our evening meal — we felt this wasn't right as we paid for half board. The manager tried charging us for our evening meal on our last night at the hotel and we reminded him that we were half board when he was clearly aware of this. Upon arrival we were given a room with two single beds when me and my husband booked a double room. Rarely played music no entertainment 14 year old boy serving bear and working what seemed day and night Wi-Fi could only be accessed in the lobby and not in your room and the manager said this was to try to encourage people to buy more from the lobby area. Everyone I spoke to living at the hotel were not happy and claimed that they wouldn't stay there again … If you want to enjoy your holiday then keep well away from this hotel.

Well I only paid 11 quid for a week and to be fair I've stayed in a lot worst than this place for a lot more money the rooms ain't that bad Mehmet the manager was spot on.

Please be warned do not stay in this hotel! Me and my partner arrived here last Wednesday morning and Wednesday afternoon the hotel manager hit a English woman and dragged her out of the taxi because she refused to have sex with him
I have been to marmaris about 20 times and have never had any trouble
Yesterday morning me and my partner got kicked out because we complained we didn't have running water in our room we couldn't even flush the toilet
I phoned travel republic to get moved
Travel republic was on the phone to me when the manager and 4 other men just walked in to our room kicking off. Every day he was kicking British people out for no reason. They love ripping u off!

The towels every 3 days change and very small deep pool alot of people can't swim in it.

I paid £13.20 total cost for 6 nights in June 2017 for one person half board so that needs to be taken into account. Room was basic but ok, fridge in room. I don't think they clean the rooms daily. Shower unfortunately leaked all over the floor and when I told them they just came and mopped it and gave me an extra towel, so for the rest of the holiday I had to mop it up with a towel and dry it out. I honestly just don't think Turkish people understand customer satisfaction as they made no attempt to fix it or move me to another room. Also on arrival it took 30 plus minutes to get my electric going in the room and then I think he expected a tip for getting it working — err no it's quite standard to have electric when you book a hotel! I had half board which was breakfast and an evening meal, breakfast was one boiled egg, lettuce, tomato, bit of cheese and bread (sometimes the bread is from the night before as it's going hard) Evening meal was rice chips and some form of meat, was eatable just about but to be honest I found most restaurants food pretty average, I just don't think they know how to cook anything properly, food is either overcooked or cold, like I said I dunno if it's a culture thing but Gordon Ramsey's head would be exploding big time in Marmaris! But I paid £13 for a week so what can you expect? I'd just say if you get a bargain then this place is cheap, basic, got a pool and near (5 min walk) to the beach.

Negative Bathroom was not clean everyday and towels weren't change Charging for air con We were half board, we had lack of choices for breakfast and dinner. If you are allergic to eggs, tomatoes, cucumber, strawberry, some weird spongey looking ham don't bother booking the hotel and for dinner, you'll have soup and some chicken with salad and if your not a soup person or vegetarian, don't bother booking the hotel. Charges for drinks when your all inclusive. staffs — it seems like they don't care. I never seen staff sit down so much. Surely you all can find something to do, probably check bedrooms are fresh very loud in the middle of the night inside of hotel and outside Most importantly — we felt unsafe and uncomfortable with the staff Positive swimming pool was clean when we ask for something, they will help us.

Great hotel on the first line. The balance of "Price-quality" holds 100%. The staff is attentive, smiling, friendly. In General, Turkey is a hospitable country! Great Manager Alexander, attentive, courteous. Fluent in both Russian and English. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Beds are comfortable and sleep well. With closed balcony doors, air-conditioned, the room is pretty quiet. Especially for the nighttime songs of the British and the Russians — with the door closed you can sleep! The chef of the restaurant, in my opinion Mehmed, but more like a Latino, at all virtuoso — the food is delicious and plenty. Sweet — generally a separate song! And, of course, a bar. In the "all inclusive" four kinds of local alcohol. But… this is enough! And not just. The bartender Emet, is also a virtuoso such drinks cook! Overall the hotel is excellent, you will not regret!

Good location, right in the center of the promenade, nice view from the balcony to the sea. Small beach, pay beach bar.

Close to the sea but the dedicated beach area is too narrow and crowded most of the time. Pool is open only until 6 PM. The Waterpark next to the hotel is very noisy but in the evening you can enjoy live music from the bar located near the beach. Rooms on the top floor are very small.

Staff not so friendly. Cats all over the place, even in the restaurants.

Me and my partner booked a week here all inclusive and are just back on Tuesday this week and tbh this is worst Hotel I've ever stayed in my life and I've stayed in a lot of hotels all over the world. When we arrived we paid for a safe pretty standard but were asked to pay £30 for air con now an all inclusive you shouldn't pay for it so we refused. Room to be honest was basic but very clean and more than liveable. Food was horrendous breakfast was boiled eggs, scrambled and salad and bread with no toaster. No snacks in between any meal and which is not all inclusive at all, lunch and dinner the same every day one meat dish which was bland chicken, rice, chips so after two days of this me and my Mrs gave up and started eating out every day which cost us a fair few hundred £'s. The staff apart from one boy Houroan who bent over backwards to help were pretty awful you felt like it was a burden asking for a drink etc. Customer service was non existent the management couldn't run a minouge never mind a Hotel. We mainly used the hotel as a base as we were on excursions every day but that's besides the point. Advertised with having a pool table, darts board, two swimming pools but only had one pool and nothing else. I've given the Hotel 1 Star as I can't give it zero and would never stay here again absolute awful Hotel. Stay well clear of this Hotel!

Terrible, absolute waste of money, poor food all inclusive, aggressive staff, extremely poor service, go elsewhere.

Terrible hotel the room was fine however the staff and food were shocking, we were all inclusive and when we arrived late we had no offers of a tea coffee or even water not shown are room. Breakfast was awful first morning could not believe it, understand that not everywhere does a full English ect, but sometoast would have been ok but someone told us you have to pay extra for toast and there was one cereal which was stale. Fridge did not work in the room lots of hidden cost to have things you should have. Had to spend money on food almost every day due to the food not being great. 22.30 is time they cut of the drinks then you have to pay after that. Had some good days out over the holiday, to top of the bad hotel we asked the reception to call our transfer to see time of our pick up who then called our room to tell me it was 19.15 on the 18.6.2016 so the last day we got all ready and went out for some food to kill some time before the pick up when we got back to the hotel we were told by someone staying at the hotel that the transfer had already been and gone so we went to reception to explain to them what was going on they did not want to help or take any responsibility for there mistake at this point the manager then stood up and got in my face we then had to get a taxi to the airport so we did not miss our flight would not in a million years!

Well what good can be said about the Hotel the staff there are lousy on arrival we met the receptionist Ibrahim a guy who seems like his never happy and was annoyed at the fact we were arriving from the airport to the hotel at 3am, all the guy wanted to do was drink and not work! The other staff were just as bad one kept on asking me to give him my jewlery and when told no he got upset, the staff wouldn't like the fact that we used to go to other places and see what there was to eat and at one point was told that I'll be charged by the hotel if I'm bringing water from elsewhere and not them. Also there was one time I was waiting for 30 mins to be served by one of the waiters as he was busy flirting with one of the guests at the hotel despite being shutdown by her. This was in fact a nightmare of a place the maids would walk into the room without knocking so that they can just flip over the mattress and leave on our last day we had got a call from the lazy bum Ibrahim saying that we had to be out of our room at 12 or else we would be charged a days rent fully knowing that we would be picked up by the coach at 8pm it's no wonder this hotel has been taken off by Thomas cook it really is the hotel from Hell!

Good hotel, polite staff, live music at the bar… there were problems on reception with payment, due to the lost bills… but they accepted late free check-out :)
