A stunning hotel in the old historic part of Istanbul. All the most famous sights are within walking distance: the Blue Mosque of Sultan Ahmed, Aya Sofia and others.

Rooms are small: in an improved room for three between beds there is no distance absolutely, a broken kettle, no shoulders for clothes, the safe is not fixed to the wall (What is the point of putting valuables in a safe, if you can take it whole and carried away if desired? ). We lived in a room on the ground floor, next to our room constantly stood huge bags with dirty towels and bedding, and here de clean, and there are trolleys with cleaning equipment — not very nice to go around all when leaving the room. And in general part of the first floor was being repaired. If you have repairs — do not settle guests here, I had no desire to live in repair.
For breakfast there is no fruit, and baking, from a rare halva.
The staff speaks Russian, responds to requests, there are no complaints to the staff.
The hotel only takes its location.

Room no. 301 was terrible. The first night we arrived on 8 june 2018 the air conditionar was out of work and the weagher was so hot. The lights of the room was so weak. Hair dryer wasnt working. Safety box had problem. I delivered these situation tu reception but tmr after I was arguing they decided to change our room to no 304. This room has problem with toilet. All 7 days we were at this room the water come from toilet. We said the hotel but they did nothing. The rooms are not clean. The gap between bed and table was so tiny that one person can hardly pass through it. The corridor of hotel was so dirty. Im sure the curtain had not clean from the begining. The only good thing that I can say is the location of hotel.

Good room service but it lacks toilet rolls and building lift. Small rooms the toilet is bigger than the toilet itself, poor lighting in the room. Rooms are very close to eachother you can hear your neighbors lol… far from the tramway station.

Only good for those who wants to experience a boutique hotel, (without elevator small rooms etc)

Walls are very thin. You can easily hear what happening in room nearby.

Small rooms and Not tidy the pictures not same with reality There's no lift with building (4floor) So many negatives,, save ur money and choose an another hotel hotel ever seen.

It's central to everything. Needs a little more arrangement but very clean.

It's very old but it's comfortable. They are nice and the location fantastic. I clear for the price you are going to look for we went from Monday to Saturday and with breakfast I all I cost €155.

It was a terrible experience! The breakfast was not very pleasant as most of the food was not fresh and most of the machines were also broken. The customer service was also very slow and not reliable as they gave incorrect information about things such as when the markets were open. They gave earlier times therefore, when we went there, we found out it was closed! The only thing good about this hotel is the location as it was close to the market but apart from that, everything to do with the hotel service itself was very poor. This is not a good place to stay.

Stayed at this hotel from the 29th July 2017 — 4th August 2017. Hotel from the outside is very attractive and stands out, reception is also very clean. The reception staff are very friendly, mini market across the road which is great, food places and taxi's across the road, around 5/10 minutes walk to the blue mosque, fountains and shopping area, so everything is pretty much close by including the the sea front and boat harbour. However now moving onto the rooms, they are clean when the room is given and then each morning cleaners come round, clean the rooms, do the beds and change the towels, however the beds are not great, first night here and woke up with so much back pain, one of the beds given to us was a sofa bed which you could feel the metal dig into the bone. Shower doors are broken and the shower it self isn't great causing the whole bathroom to be flooded each time you have a shower. No view at all except rubbish and old furniture. Food is very limited, cornflakes, eggs and tiny hard breads. Wi-Fi is given free however it is extremely slow and most times can't use it due to apps/ internet not loading. Sometimes Wi-Fi does go off and you cannot connect for a few hours but when you can it's very poor. However the service the staff have provided was great.

To say that my stay at this hotel was terrible, it would be an understatement. I have experienced seven horrible days at this dump! The hotel was dark, damp, and humid. My room was disgusting and the bathroom was even moor disgusting. The staff can barley speak English. Don't get fooled by the photos they are fake. I urge everyone to stay away from this hotel. It is extremely overrated!

The reception team is very kind, extremely helpful and they try their best to serve in shortest time. I felt like I'm at my home. I couldn't wait until I finish my stay here to give my feedback because I'm really happy here. The location of the hotel is very helpful to access the tramway, metro, taxis, shopping souks, corniche etc… I LOVE IT.

The hotel is situated in the perfect location for sightseeing. Everything was in walking distance. The staff was helpful. Clean. Nice breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel with my sisters a week ago. The location was great for walking distance to the major historical buildings, everything was nearby, such as Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazar and so on. The room was clean and the breakfast satisfactory. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Splendid view from the terrace. Hope, I'll visit the hotel again. (Y)

The good thing was the external prospects and lobby decoration but the building is very old and all facilities are obsolete! Do not trust hotel view and not original photos which try to show it beautiful! It was not four star hotel and my room was not Superior Double Room! It was like a small cage that made me sick. I saw that the janitor recycle the soap boxes and fill them with other cheap soap then put them in my room! Room was small, dirty and so cold! Bathroom was not clean form several days ago and some garbage was in bathroom from previous guest. Even they were no any toilet paper in the whole building! When I complained to the reception that this in not a superior room? He told me the hotel manager selected this room as superior double room and you have to accepted! that's why it is non — refundable.

Good location. The breakfast is unfortunately not varied. The rooms are ok for a city trip.

The breakfast was pretty bad, not many good choices and the staff was kind of lazy. But the good thing is that it was close to the tourist attractions. PS: The hotel rooms is pretty good.

Excellent experience at this hotel. We booked the deluxe suite with Turkish bath for about US$95 per night (average) for four nights. When we arrived there was a mix up and our room wasn't available so we got a top floor deluxe room with double balcony instead and the manager organized a free Turkish bath evening at one of the local hamams. The manager (Ihan) was always friendly and willing to sit down and chat about city tours, places to visit, food to eat and the best way to get around the city. The room was spacious and comfortable with satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, comfortable bed and nice shower. There was also a rooftop bar and restaurant from which you can see the Blue Mosque. Buffett breakfast is included with the room. I would highly recommend this hotel for someone wanting the boutique experience in the old city of Istanbul without needing to pay crazy prices.

We were travelling with kids and it was a great experience there. The connecting family rooms were perfectly clean, comfortable and well decorated. Albatros is one of the best hotels in istanbul sultanahmet for families.

We stayed 5 nights in January 2013 and it is a nice place at a budget price The room was large enough and comfortable bed and good size shower Nice people and perfect location.

Do not believe the Thomas cook sales assistant. Showed us all wrong pictures. The place is not even half as good as what we got shown.
