I think, though Chaweng beach is quite crowded mostly through all year, is probably the best beach of Koh Samui. I wish to be back then in 1989 when the island was less than half visited by the hordes of tourists. However Koh Samui's Chaweng beach is a must in anyone's visit to Thailand.

Stunning beach that's a bit quieter than the main one in Chaweng. Home to the beach bar samui which hosts great parties.

It's a beautiful beach. One of my favorites. He's especially good in the evening. It's quiet, it's not crowded.

Lively beach with lots of lovely bars and cafes. It has a lot of trash though and would certainly benefit from occasional (or more frequent) cleaning.

Great place. Adequate staff. Clean rooms. Near the beach bar where free sunbeds and umbrellas from the sun, and in the evenings of hangouts and music. There is also a beach volleyball court.
Stayed there for 11 days-will definitely go back there again.

Clean with Crystal clear warm waters. Restaurants, bars and massage available on beach front.

Very nice beach! No stones, the sand is fine-grained and trickling through the closed hands! The Beachbar is there, with very good prices. Barbeque with all you can eat! Just great! Music is running! Recommended!

The beach is super! Waves! It is possible to rent an inflatable circle 150 Baht big. There is a shower near the hotel on the right. It is not desirable to go to this beach after heavy rains (it will be dirty, on coast of seaweed and jellyfish small) and when strong wind (waves will be too steep)

Nice little beach, crystal clear water, various bars and restaurants at different prices, possibility of massages, suitable for children, noisy.

Nice beach. Not as lively as Chaweng Yai, the Big Beach. In a quarter of an hour you can walk to Chaweng village with restaurants and bars.

Small, cozy beach. In contrast to Chaweng Beach there are never waves.

Such a dirty beach! Plastic, flotsam, broken glass, only thing missing was used needles and I'm sure you could find some if you looked hard enough. Waves were also massive, very unsafe for swimming, one of the people at the beach bar said 2 people almost drowned the day before. A real disappointment after reading a lot of good reviews here, try elsewhere!

The best beach in koh samui, imho.

One of the best beaches on Koh Samui! There is a bar, a beautiful view of the sea. There is a shower, complimentary toilet. Clean, cleaned, deep house.

Our most favorite beach! Beds is for 50 bath, shower, WC. For all people, the sand is soft, clean. There is a massage for 300 baht per hour, food, cocktails at great prices. In General, love!

The beach is nice in a quiet time, if stormy, brings rubbish in plenty. Great view for a beautiful photo.

My second time here. Gotta say its better than my first. Waters are clearer than I remember and it’s not as noisy as I thought it might be. Oh and you can catch airplanes flying in.

The beach is well suited for children, sand, gentle sunset. The water is clean, as on all the beaches on this side of the island.

Super beautiful beach. It is not crowded and there are very great restaurants here. Beside Silver beach one of the most beautiful beaches on Koh Samui.

Great resort. Very friendly staff and management. Always there to help assist and provide service. Also location is great as well as proximatey to main street, restaurants and shops. We will come to Koh Samui evey 2 years from rom now and will definitely be staying at New Star resort.

Abit crowded and lots of people selling things walking up and down. I'd walk further down as well to get away from the restaurants as they play some terrible music that could ruin the ambiance of just being at the beach. Good for swimming but there are better beaches.

Okay beach. Many stones on the south side of the beach. Fun waves in the middle and nice sand on the north beach.
