Highly recommended beautiful boutique luxury hotel. The staff is amazingly well trained. Very relaxing and calm location with beautifully maintained grounds. Walking distance to markets, chic cafes, and several nice restaurants. The 140 year old teak house is an amazing setting for afternoon tea, evening cocktails, lunches and dinners.

This is one of the most beautiful hotel properties I’ve ever seen. I love how they took the historic building and built a serene and amazing hotel setting around it.

The resort definitely lives up to its reputation for exclusive luxury and elegance. The well curated grounds and carefully selected furnishing lend the place a feeling of old world charm that's only enhanced by the lush vegetation and gardens on the complex. The service was outstanding and the well prepared food beyond reproach. I can't recommend 137 Pillars highly enough.

I just had dinner here at 137 Palette Dining room. All dishes were great! especially Kao Pad Supparod and Pasta Coborala. All the staff was pro! ✌

Love this place. The room is spacious and the ambience is beautiful and calm. Services are excellent. Vibes are very calm and serene. The teak historic building is beautiful.

This place is very nice and good, that the people is take care and well and service excellent food excellent 24 hours Food Service. You are enjoy the nature red and stinging the twitching I like it very much.

For quiet rooms, exceptional food and top notch service and attention, this is the place. Always willing to help, relaxing pool, great wine list and historical bar with art work throughout the property. The Manager Anne and our butler Toto were very professional and Anne even spent some time with us at breakfast to chat about the history. We will be back. Robert.

Brilliant location. Great for outdoor wedding ceremonies. Huge lawn, nice swimming pool, and lovely gardening. Very limited parking space.

We just went to the bar at the Pillars House. Architecture and design was excellent. Cocktail menu was truly unique and featured the best cocktails we’ve had our entire visit in Thailand. Highly recommend a trip to the bar here before dinner (Happy Hour 5-7pm), well worth the trip. Don’t think this place gets enough recognition for the uniqueness of their menu.

Probably the best hotel experience I've ever had. Stunning property.

What an incredibly tranquil environment. The garden wall behind the swimming pool is terrific, not only providing privacy but also the feeling of immersion in nature. Afternoon tea/high tea is something to behold, served in the air-conditioned comfort of the bar, with or without champagne. A must do. With the ongoing restoration, this property is immaculately maintained and a real oasis in the city.

We were having a great time in the Pillars which was a historical building. The staff are very nice and know the place well. They keep on informing us about the history of the buildings whilst we walked up to our tea house, a fabulous place for having a high tea therein. Strongly recommend to go for a high tea in 137 Pillars House Chaing Mai.

My husband and I stayed at 137 pillars house for 4 nights in December and I did not want to leave. This is hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff is extremely attentive, they go above and beyond to meet your needs, the grounds are exquisitely kept, and the food is wonderful. 137 pillars house is so picturesque, I seriously was in awe!

The hotel was a lovely Oasis from the bustling city of Chiang Mai. We enjoyed 3 night in the beautiful setting which was very convenient to the city. The service was great and the rooms were gorgeous. The best thing about the hotel was the pool. The food was delicious thanks to the great chef. Great stay!

We had the fairytale wedding experience of our dreams at Pillars House. From start to finish, the staff and management were so incredibly attentive to our needs, and everything we wanted was made so easy. We cannot thank you enough for creating such an amazing event, which was so far beyond our wildest imaginings. It was the best day of our lives, and we cannot thank you enough. Special mention to k. San for all of his very hard work, for getting back to us quickly and for his creative thinking and hospitable and kind nature. Thank you too Ann, for allowing us to host our event in a place that you make truly special, and the epitome of the consummate 5 star boutique hotel experience.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Way more fun than staying at a typical Hyatt. Super cool and different decor. Outstanding location. Very accommodating and helpful staff. Can't wait to return!

What a setting! The historic Pillar House sets the mood. Old world charm in lush surroundings. Our room was on the small side and a bit tight for walking around the bed, but the amenities were all there including wonderful bedside plug ins, great reading lamps, bedtime stories, music, coffee, you name it, we had it! I highly recommend this hotel. It is expensive by Thai standards, but it delivers. One star off for room size, but keep in mind that the generous sized veranda added a lot space and the bathroom was luxurious in every way! The Thai staff so gracious. I'd go back for sure! Loved it!

It is an amazing place and amazing service. I feel like I stay in my own home, which serounding with the nature. Also it is really peacefully for a couple who is looking for a peaceful place to have a perfect relaxation. The most I like is a blue colour of decoration, which make me fall in love with nice blue colour. My husband and I had a great time to stay in this hotel.

I have to say a huge thank you to everyone at 137 Pillars. I don't think my wife and I have ever enjoyed a stay in a hotel as much as this. The hotel is absolutely stunning, rooms are beautiful and the staff could not be better. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff especially Toto who went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfect for us. He was such a big help and a credit to the hotel. All of the staff that we encountered were so nice and went out of thei…r way to chat and help out. This is one of those places where the word no is not in the vocabulary of the people there and where a staff member knows what you need before you even ask! The only negative was that the position of our room was close to the bars next to the river which meant that we could hear the music and noise until around 1 am every day. This detracted from the relaxing feeling of the place and meant that I had to use ear plugs every night. Overall a great stay and we would definitely return (hopefully to a room further away from the bars).

137 Pillars is the best hotel in the world. We stayed 4 nights with 2 suites. The beds are perfect, the grounds and pool are amazing and our butler, Toto, turned an amazing stay into 3 of the best days of our lives. He assists with every detail and stays 2 steps ahead. Whatever time or day or night, he schedules everything, even last minute changes. Whatever they pay him is not enough. We will go back to 137 Pillars BECASUE of Toto! My wife, kids (ages 9 and 17) and I all loved this experience!

All about the old house and the trees around it. Rooms are perfect as well.

On 5th of May 2017, around 08.30 hrs. I went to pick up my tourists for going out on a tour in Chiang Mai. The front desk staffs there showed their impolite negative attitude that I would say "no service mind" to me. The way they talked was not a friendly manner. But they could quickly change their faces to be very pleasant when my tourists came to meet me. This is not right! The world-class hotel such as The Oriental Bangkok has always been very friendly and always offer warm hospitality to hotel's customers and anyone who go to visit at the hotel, even the local tour guides too. It's because they have "greater service minds". It's noticeable that the staffs' attitudes towards local Thai tour guides who go to give services to their clients seem very unfriendly. That is why all of the local tour guides always wait outside around the front parking ground of the hotel. Look from outside, 137 Pillar House is a beautiful hotel. The poor manner that the hotel's front desks staffs express to local tour guides is unacceptable. It really shows how the hotel train its staffs to cooperate with others in Thai tourism industry. Ashamed! Well-educated and well-bred people never do this.

A very special place that I would highly recommend. Our butler Pui did everything for us. She brought us different pillow options for our beds, recommended restaurants/made reservations and booked all of our spa treatments. She also coordinated all transport to and from our destinations. We barely lifted a finger. The facilities are stunning. Bathrooms are large and perfectly decorated with every amenity. Small pool area which was actually quite nice because it never got too busy. We loved everything about this place but if I had to choose one thing, it would be the service level and the people who wait on you hand and foot to make your experience as relaxing as possible.

Lovely! Enjoyed the whole place, architecture, landscaping, staff, service and most of all, the food! Excellent choice, taste and presentation. The executive sous chef added just that personal touch to make the meal enen more tasty. The setting was also superb!

Staying here was a wonderful experience. Despite being within walking distance of the busy markets and old city, the hotel grounds are very peaceful and quiet. The rooms are very nice, we were even given a room upgrade. The service was outstanding and our personal concierge, Toto, was very friendly and helpful (gave us great advice on which markets were best for street food). We would absolutely recommend staying here if you want a relaxing time in Chiang Mai.

Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, we were greeted by hotel transport and was whisked off to this amazing property nestled outside the old city. When we arrived on property we were greated with an amazing welcome drink and cold towel to freshen up. We stayed on property for three nights and was provided with our own Butler Pui, who was one of the most kind hearted sweetest person I've met. She help with all of our needs. Our room was delightful. We stayed in the East Borneo Suite, which had both indoor and outdoor showers, claw foot bathtub. Beds were comfortable and you were provided with unlimited beer, juices, water & sofas. Fresh fruit was also provided free of charge daily. We had Kanoke Dinner on property food was amazing. Staff was amazing! The hotel pool and ground as stunningly beautiful. I can't stay enough about this place. If your ever in Chiang Mai this is the place to stay.

A favourite place on our Thailand trip. Tranquillity in the middle of a big city. Large rooms with an outdoor shower. Worth the price. But avoid eating here. While a nice setting, the food around the hotel was far superior. I plan to return for sure!

From the warm reception and welcome drink upon arrival, to the friendly send-off upon departure, everything about our experience at 137 Pillars House was above and beyond. The architecture and design of the grounds and rooms is thoughtful and beautiful without being over the top. The natural mangrove pool is an inviting and private oasis, and the morning breakfast was consistently the best meal I had each day of the trip. I could go on about how great the details of 137 Pillars are, but what truly sets the experience apart are the staff and service. Always there, warmly smiling and ready to help when you needed anything at all but never bothersome when you just wanted to relax. I've stayed in plenty of nice hotels and accommodations in the past, but 137 Pillars was so perfect it may have reset my expectations for my future adventures.

Wonderful hotel, one of the best boutique hotels in Asia. Staff are outstanding and the facilities are first class. Restaurant hasn't the widest variety of choices but what it dies have is executed superbly.
