Beautiful grounds and beach, only 10 minutes away from they busy kite surfing beaches of Paje. Pure peace and relaxation at The Sands Beach Resort.

Beautiful white empty sandy beach. Very nicely located. And beautiful atmosphere. Good food.
Unfortunately, no TVs in the bungalows. Wi-Fi is almost everywhere, but with times more stable line. If you only come to relax and swim, you've come to the right place. Shiming in the sea is somewhat delicate, given many rocks in the water.
If you want a little more action, you have to take care of it in advance. Because there is not much action around the hotel.
Spice Tour, and Stonetown are highly recommended.

As a world traveler and staying an average of 100 nights per year in 3/4/5 star hotels for the last 35 years I’m amazed about the positive reviews for this supposedly 4 star resort! Very cheap hotel. In everything you can see it’s been put together with bits and pieces. Airco only in bedroom not in rest of appartment which gets extremely hot! Shower didn’t work, asked twice to fix. Curtain rails broken, not fixed. Nowhere a hook for towels or a place to leave your soap. Wi-Fi extremely bad and half of the time not working. And only at main building so not in your room. Service at beach bar very bad (no Coca Cola today, there was but they didn’t want to walk to the main building to get it! No coconut today, the guy who gets them is out for lunch etc) Ordering a cup of spice tea took 1, 5 (! ) hours and they delivered normal tea. Only clean towels after 3 days, had some laundry done after 4 days safari, came back folded but hadn’t seen any water or soap (they just folded it! ), room cleaning very bad, also when taking half used flacons of bath gel they didn’t put new ones for 4 days in a row! Swimming pool dangerous for adults and children. Steps into pool are very small and sharp! I hurt myself pretty bad. Complimentary sea shoes available at reception for swimming in sea: only sizes up to 39, if you have bigger feet you cannot swim in the sea (so which we with sizes over 40 couldn’t do) The food at Xmas eve was nice. Thereafter we ate leftovers for 3 days at buffet.

Secret paradise! Beautiful hotel, fantastic beach with white powder sand, very polite and helpful stuff, makes this hotel one of the most the best I ever been at. The hotel is never crowded, even if is full of guets. Lovely beach bar with swings, pool and 160 sqm villas with big terrace and magnificent view are breathtaking! This is definitely a joy of my life!

This is fantastic place! Everything is perfect! Beautiful beach, outstanding villas, and friendly and polite staff!. The beach bar with swings is best place to chill out and get relaxed by Indian ocean. Secret place that will blow your mind!

Beautiful tropical beach, grounds and bungalows. Clean, new, spacious 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom villas with dining area and kitchenette (no cooking facilities) that are great for families or groups looking for more space to spread out as well as standard bungalows nice for couples who want a clean, comfortable room with air conditioning. The property is set on large tropical grounds on the beautiful beach in Dongwe with a nice restaurant and beach bar, Bucaneer PADI Dive Center and Aquaholics Surf School on site. One of the better, newer properties located in this area close to many 5 star hotels and facilities within walking distance on this stretch of beach.

The Sands is set in a beautiful tropical garden with palms and Bougainville flowers everywhere. The beach is amazing and one of the top best of the island, with white and soft sand. Villas are spacious and and all of them with a view of the ocean. I love the restaurant position, overlooking the gardens and the big pool. For those who love Diving you can find a 5 star PADI diving center and the amazing and sole Surf school in the island! I've paid a visit during the setting up of the property for a NEW opening at June 1st and I'm looking forward to spend a great holiday again in the summer season!
