Quiet location. Very comfortable bed and pillow. I had nice sleep here. Supermarket near by. Enjoyed my stay.

I happened to live at Aloft while on a recent business trip. The hotel is nice with courteous and helpful staff. However, couple of things to note is their in-house restaurant does not have any vegetarian options. Sure, the chef will make it on your request, provided you explain what you really want or don't but nothing off the menu that you can point and order. Another thing is the location. If you plan to go to Taipei regularly, this hotel might not be for you. It's located in Beitou, which is half an hour away from the Taipei city by cab or about an hour if you take the metro. The nearest metro station is about 600m away, which is walkable if you ask me. However, there's McDonald's, Family Mart and even a 7/11 in the vicinity.

This hotel is new and stylish. Like all branches of Aloft, this one is chic. It is a little beyond my expectation as Aloft hotels in America are pretty minimalist. The reception staff are really helpful. They recommended me good Hot Springs in Beitou and they are really good. The only downside is the location. It is only accessible by car basically, though you can walk quite a bit from the Metro station Beitou or Qiyan. It is a good option if you have extra SPG/Marriott points.

Beautiful new hotel with a staff that really go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant.
