Good music, excellent atmosphere and staff fantastic. Food really good as well, really enjoyed our first ever fondu and in Switzerland to boot!

A very enlightening experience of Swiss culture!

Amazing attention and food!

Totally unhelpful staff; arriving from Australia with two young children; booked 3 months in advance and the staff don’t respond to emails, are rude and very unhelpful!

A group of 16 hikers stayed at Edelweiss before and after trips to Chamonix and Zermatt. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful, allowing us to make the most of our short (2 nights) in Geneva. They helped ready our rooms before check-in time. The location is perfect, being within easy walking distance of the train station, the lake, and many restaurants and attractions. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious, with plenty of closet space. A splendid buffet breakfast got us started each day, with plenty of food and variety, including wonderful, freshly baked bread.

The Hotel Edelweiss is an efficient, fun oasis in a great location. The staff was very helpful with information and travel assistance and reservation communication. It has a remarkable restaurant with all the hallmark Swiss features of good food, service and very talented traditional musicians. The hotel and restaurant let us take away fond memories of the Swiss countryside right from the heart of the city.

We stayed here for one night because the reviews said it looks like Christmas… and it does! It’s sooo lovely, pretty, clean, comfortable and friendly. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it looked amazing with its traditional musicians and smiling customers. I would love to stay again.

— Warm welcome, both the hotel reception and the restaurant staff. (I had booked and asked for a table for two, quiet corner) We had a quiet and charming table in the small cottage.
— The staff very attentive to our orders and very precise for the descriptions of menus offered.
— Very charming place and like a Swiss mountain chalet.
— Very playful musicians playing music and not parasitic during the meal, it was super nice.
— The half-half fondue recommended by the waitress was a real treat.
— The very fresh fish and the perfect cooking, the risotto that accompanied it — nickel.
— The aesthetics of the dessert were up to the taste. Super good!

Price quite correct given the success of our evening!

All the people on the reception were very nice with us. I spent 2 days with my family in a business travel, I would say that I will repeat my stay in it if I have the opportunity to fo again. They gave advises to visit the city in a very short time, we received tickets for public transportation. The breakfast was amazing and well presented and prepared. The room has all what we needed. They were very helpful with keeping my luggage during the day. I do recommend this hotel. It is very well located to the main attractions and restaurants of the city. Thanks… Orlando.

So welcomed into your hotel! From the host who checked us in (had to move rooms as reservation requested), those that cheerfully got us ice, those that greeted and served us breakfast, and the wonderful host that recommended the best place to get fudge! Awesome host! Cheerful, helpful and always glad to see us.

The decor and location for the hotel are excellent. Even though its a bit touristy and kitsch, its overall well executed for the price. Beds are comfortable and clean. I don't know if it was our room specifically, but this was a kinda confusing shower/bath to operate. If the price was right, I would stay here again.

The hotel is very nice. The façade resembles a chalet, the restaurant is furnished as a chalet also with musical animation made by artists (dressed in armaillis) very friendly. Only small downside (for insomniacs especially), which did not particularly bother us too much, the window of our room overlooked the place of the navigation and there was "noise" until more than 3 o'clock in the morning but this is also the pâquis…

The hotel is very quiet. Attentive staff, smiling and courteous.

Very nice hotel (inside), very well appointed and spacious rooms. Very good location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good. Recommended!
NB: Paquis area (slightly noisy but it still goes), difficult parking but the hotel offers places of a partner hotel.

The hotel is located conveniently to the lake, transportation and the staff are very helpful. The Restaurant Edelweiss held the traditional swiss dinner with musicians and they made our last evening one to remember. Hotel desk service — friendly, helpful and very attentive. Thank you!

Our stay in Edelweiss was pleasant, clean rooms, good shower and good breakfast choices. It was close to money changer, grocery stores, restaurants and one plus I like the hotel was giving free transport tickets you can use throughout your stay whether tram train or bus. They even gave discounts for your dinner at the hotel. Will stay there again. I also like the decor. Made me feel I was living in a swiss chalet.

The place is fantastic with live music and waitresses who can cater to you in French, English or Spanish.

The rooms are very comfortable, even if the shower is very small and if you go with children, they do not put towels (we did not ask either). It is not central by is close and very well connected. Some streets are not very recommendable at night since the brothels are nearby.
Easy access from the train station.
The staff are very nice and they have a typical restaurant very well decorated and with live music.
Maybe it would remove the stuffed dogs, but our son liked it very much.
What would change is the pillows that are very uncomfortable.
For the rest, everything is clean and very good.

Visited the restaurant there. Though it is quite a busy restaurant with lots of visitors, service is quite slow with only 3 staff to serve. It took us half an hour to get each course. The ambience is quite nice. It has a typical Swiss look and the music is nice as well. But the menu is quite expensive. Difficult to decide on which dish to order. Although the staff is quite polite n welcoming. Overall experience not too good not too bad! But wouldn't waste time n money on this again.

Very nice restaurant with live music and good fondues. Service kind and warm atmosphere. Sometimes music is slightly too to talk with a lover but it is only some periods. You can also appreciate the long horn and try also if you wish. Amazing experience. Don t know about the hotel.

Authentic Cheese fondue, a strong Swiss style décor, and a Swiss traditional musical instrument performance at night are good places to entertain foreign guests.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. It's in a perfect, easy to find location, and the restaurant was a whole fantastic experience! :) live music was phenomenal and made our holiday even better! there was a city tax you have to pay as a non resident on your last day which we and other guests didn't know off. (you can't pay it in advance as the people next to us claimed to have done). Still would recommend. the hotel is in close distance to the train station — we even went to see the Lausanne Christmas Market which was a train ride away… very pleasant trains too. our visit to Geneva was fantastic.

Great food and typical folk atmosphere. To take into account the need for a step in the laundry at the exit.

We didn't stay there. We were only in the restaurant, and super cute and fun. It eats super good but half expensive because you coean the Eapectaculo. He eats well. There is a Brazilian or Portuguese, super attentive.

Great atmosphere. Authentic cheese scent as you walk through the door transporting yoh to Austria. Entertainment was great. Fondue was brilliant with fast and attentive waiting. Overall brilliant.

Great atmosphere. We came for the weekend of New Year's Eve, the setting is very nice. We were also able to enjoy the restaurant. A little bit expensive, but very good. The staff is at the small care.

The room was cozy and clean and reception staff were helpful. The view wasn't good but we were only sleeping there anyway. It is only 10 mins walk from the train station and 5 mins from the lake which is great but about 20-30mins away from the centre of the city.

Very stereotypically Swiss! Possibly not a particularly honest reflection of real life, but great fun. Meal for 30 of fondue starter, sausage and chips main and ice cream dessert. Musical accompaniment was good fun! Efficient, effective and polite service. Would recommend.

Beautiful alpine chalet-style hotel. Only 3 minutes by bus from the station or 10 on foot, the hotel is a few meters from the lake and is a great choice to have the center of Geneva at your fingertips. It was a very nice hotel. Excellent also the restaurant of the hotel that offers the typical dishes of the Swiss cuisine like the fondue, all accompanied by local music played live, recommended the reservation.

Nice hotel located close to lake Geneva. Good service, the rooms are quite spacious and come with a safe for your items, flat screen tv, mini fridge coffee tea and kettle. Good value.

Not much in terms of view but definitely value for money. Rooms facing the street can be noisy at night.

Very interesting Restaurant I must say, we went in group and it was so so much fun. From the raw meat (had never seen anything like that before) to the life music performances (very entertaining guys), the big horn we took turns to blew…, unfortunately almost everyone got it, but me. Beautiful beautiful historic place, lots and lots of wine…

This is super touristy, like yodeller/Alpine horn touristy. Service was ok, much like every other restaurant in Geneva the price was somewhat insane, the food was passable, but nothing is recommend. In my view 3 starts is average, if someone really wanted to go here I wouldn't say no to going along, but I'd never say we should go.

The room is great, nice size which is unusual in Europe. The ensuite is spacious and well appointed and clean and there is tea and coffee making facilities and a stocked mini fridge which are both unusual these days. Highly recommended. Staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant on Valentine night had a great menu and enjoyable entertainment. You.

No humanity in this hotel, yesterday I learned the death of my grandfather and impossible to cancel the reservation, the staff simply said "but madam, it is necessary to read the conditions", as if death were intended! It's unconscionable and inhuman!

We were eating with a group in the restaurant and ordered the burger "Suissime". After just under 50 minutes of waiting, the disappointment was served on the plate. A burger that even McDonalds could have done better. Unloved, a cold, unbaked Burgerbrötchen with labbrigen bacon and tasteless meat was served on only moderately fried onions. The fries from the freezer are also not salted. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, the food was worth 10 francs, according to the card 30 francs were charged. A value for money which is surpassed even at the disco!

Don't go to this restaurant! Even McDonalds make better burgers!

Were with a group there and ordered a 30 CHF burger. Accordingly, expectations were, but what we got was under all dignity.
The Burgerbrötchen was cold as if it came right out of the fridge, the bacon was freezing as if it came from the morning buffet. The meat was tasteless and this burger could have made a McDonald's better.
After a 60-minute wait, you can expect something better.
Never again this restaurant.

A quirky hotel in a decent location, 5 mins from the lake. The restaurant is good fun with traditional music involving the crowd most nights.

The musical entertainment is fun, but because of the big crowds it seems staff has no oversight of the various orders. If you want to experience Swiss music combined with steaks, raclette or fondue go here, but reserve in advance.

Fondu is rich, and local, but the taste is not what I've expected…Atmosphere is great! And there is a band playing local music! Quite enjoyable!

For the tourists but not a tourist tap. Nice live authentic music, horn and glockenspiel included… The fondue is good, and definitely try the Swiss wine.

A little bit disappointing. I heard so many good things about this hotel but my expectations were probably too high. First of all the surroundings really suck. I was caught two times by emigrates from Africa who tried to rob me in front of the hotel. Extremely unsafe area. Second the rooms are totally overpriced. Breakfast average. First time and last time. Geneva is such an overated city. Overpriced, ugly and unsafe. Forget it.

Beautiful culture to the former.

Having recently returned from a week in Geneva, I can recommend the Edelweiss as a good base for exploring the city. With in walking distance of the lake, its easy to get all the attractions, but far enough away to afford guests a peaceful nights sleep. All the staff were very friendly and helpfully, and the entertainment in the restaurant was excellent each evening. My only slight concern was the Breakfast, as I felt it did not offer value for money. After trying it for a couple of morning, we decided to try a local cafe on the other side of the square, which provided much better value.
