Bed and Breakfast

Another incredible stay, thanks to Tina and team for everything.

The room is simply furnished, but sufficient. The breakfast buffet is varied. The location is perfect, beautifully close to the harbour and the inner city. In addition, the train is also in front of the door with which you can drive in 1.5 hrs to copenhagen.

Nice, but loud place, situated between station and port. Not cheap.

How central is the place? I mean if it is at walking distance from the center of town?

Hones and I picked this hostel as true Wallander fans and we were fully satisfied with the rooms, the friendlyness and the atmosphere, of course. Thank you so much! A clear recommendation!

We had a breakfast and it was delicious.

Booked a while ago and had built up some expectations, not least as Wallander super-fans/ scan-noir super-geeks. We were arriving onto Copenhagen and getting the train into Ystad. How comforting was it when we disembarked the train to see the warm glow from the hotel windows feet away. We followed the instructions we'd been sent by text earlier and within 4 minutes of stepping onto the platform we were in our room. The room was a great size, light, bright, spotlessly clean and probably most importantly it was Kurt Wallander's office in season 2, with Krister Henriksson (you're forgiven for not sharing our excitement at this). Fab, comfy beds, warm and great views over the harbour, which became a bit of a fixation, watching the ships come and go in the darkness. So, the hotel itself is so clean you could eat dinner off the floor, there are guest kitchens with all the appliances you could possibly need, a fridge to chill a beer or a bottle of wine, a freezer, oven and hob if you want to self cater, crockery, crockery, glasses, cups, and a tea and coffee cupboard where you can help yourself to free hot drinks. Breakfast was plentiful and continental, coffee stronger than Tor Johnson and friendly staff on hand if you need anything, including more coffee. Overall, did it meet our expectations…? No, it far exceeded them.

The worst thing about this b&b…? Having to leave.
Brilliant experience. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. Every little detail has been covered. On a budget…? They even have kitchens for you to use, with fridge, freezer, oven, hob, crockery, cutlery, glasses… including decent wine glasses, a gorgeous sitting room with amazing views over the ferry terminal, out to the Baltic.
Arriving by train…? your room is right there as you arrive. You'd think all this would be noisy but it is quiet as a mouse.
Final words, superb in every way. Would I come back…? I don't want to leave.

Great clean room. Free high speed Wi-Fi. Fine morning breakfast. Easy check in and out according to instructions.

Sometimes reception is only open at 4 to 6 pm.

Great location, good room, good breakfast.

It's great, clean and cosy. Wifi is great too. This is my 2nd time staying there and will stay there again.

Spacy rooms, fantastic historic location, good breakfast and very friendly staff. Would go again.
