The building is very old. The elevator needs to be upgraded. The Room is very small, but it was clean. Good view on Gran Via and Plaza Callao. Good location.

Very dirty, the least that you can require to a room is cleaning. What I booked because of the good comments but I don't know if we were unlucky or what happened. The bathroom sucísimo, the dirty floor, and to top it all off by the slit of ventilation was the light of the hallway of the hotel for the night, it illuminated a good chunk of the roof, they should fix that because every time someone plugged in the light outside I wake up in the night. Very disappointing and it cost us dearly by the end of the week there were several events in Madrid.

To escape absolutely if you want to rest and especially sleep!
Indeed, the walls of the rooms must be of paper because we are all the conversations of the adjoining rooms, bathroom faucet, shower, flushing, coughing etc…
In short the feeling of sharing the room with other people!
Practically €100/night, we were robbed by the establishment and deceived by all the sites that broadcast the professional photos very vendors but very deceptive that were provided to them by the establishment! I think they'd better check the information and photos before they broadcast!
I have published in order to mount the reality that is quite different!

Zero rating more suited but not in choice. Scam! to flee! Noisy, fine partitions between the rooms we paid almost 100euros thinking it was a 3 star hotel but it is nothing. What a disappointment! It was only a HoStal contrary to what is written on maps. This is not a hotel. Let alone a 3-star. The pictures don't account for reality. Moreover we booked by booking where there are pictures of the restaurant on the top floor which has nothing to do with this dormitory because it is only a very noisy dormitory between works and fine partitions between the rooms… The restaurant gives the impression of a certain standing which does not correspond at all to this hostal which is located on the 7th floor of a building barely sanitary, with an old stairwell. In the same building each floor corresponds to a hostal and the adjoining building is in renovation to top the whole so woke at 7am by sounds of drills. By not having been able to sleep before 2am because of the noises coming from the next room…
Woe for us we had booked 2 nights and they refused to cancel the second night after they told them about it, after insisting the only thing that was given to us was to change rooms. The room a little larger but the curtains remain dirty as in the first room, we wait to see if this one is better insulated what we were assured.
Little remark in thinking… the household material is stored in front of the emergency exit door!

Very dirty, the least you can demand from a room is cleanliness. I booked it for the good reviews but I don't know if we had bad luck or what happened. The Sucísimo bath, the dirty floor and to top it up through the vent slit The hotel Hall light came in at night, a good piece of the ceiling lit up, they should fix that because every time someone plugs the light out you wake up at night. Very disappointing and cost us expensive for the weekend that there were several events in Madrid.

Comfortable rooms, good Wi-Fi and nice attention. The best? The location.

I liked the place, very clean, very varied breakfasts, very close to the train station.

Except because there were works on the top floor the hotel was nice. It is located in the middle of Gran via and the bed is comfortable.
How against the size of the bathroom is quite small and the cup and shower are too close together.

Well located hostel, and clean, the parking I consider expensive (€25 one night) and is not a receipt that at the exit of the same you have to leave the car parked in a bad way to go to return the key, a mailbox to the exit door would be an option that Deveriais to study. (parking is at Hotel Indigo about 300 meters in another street)

Excellent location Good Attention. Clean. The elevator is a problem but it is not the fault of the hostel as it is shared with 4 more hostels in the same building and the waits can be long. Solution: do gymnastics, use the stairs ☺

Centric hostel, attentive service, rooms well the bathroom a bit cramped, regular cleaning. Indispensable the Sky 44 its terrace where they serve a great breakfast, at a great price and the magnificent Views. Newly opened and still starting but great.

We had room with a view to Gran via, and it was spectacular, the staff very nice, location unbeatable, just leaves a lot to want the elevator and the entrance very grim and ugly at night.

It's a humble hotel. Location is excellent. The elevator is not enough for the amount of people in the building I think.

Very straight forward hostel/hotel, perfect for visiting the City center or seeing a football match. Plus if you are lucky enough, you will get a great view from the balcony.

This not fit for family, it's for bachelors accommodation, small room, very congested entry & bathroom too. Location is good & busy area, surrounding with all places.

The room is simple clean has access to Wi-Fi, good location, but offer air conditioning and not I could sleep the first night 27 07 2015 because the room not cool. It is best to tell you the truth. As we have people who we can not sleep without air-conditioning and so is first before paying, I wonder if you have air conditioning before to stay.
After reporting the heat towards in the room they resolved and I changed to a room that if cool air. So I recommend it.

The rooms at the hotel always neat and clean, staff friendly and always available.

To be a hostel not bad, all that is valuable is its views to plaza de callao. Well located is a place to go to sleep, a place of easy access step that has nothing remarkable, except when you poke to the gran via, see the hustle and bustle of madrid, life on the streets.
Is a site to go to sleep if come from outside and like be a weekend in all the heart of the great city. Expensive to be a hostel, but is in the gran Vía, it is what has.

Excellent choice price quality, little spend little enjoy, central, Mrs Carmen is nice.

DO NOT be fooled by this place's fancy online photos and website. In so many words, this place is as hot and rat infested as a Karachi hindu temple after a next-door bread bakery tornado. This Hostal has unfortunately hired certain personnel that fits this description to the letter. I literally nearly came to blows with Cesar, the clerk, after living here for an extended period of time. Inhospitable, sweltering, poorly stocked beer vending machine scam.
