From the moment the staff greeted us, it was evident that Hotel Grand Central’s sole purpose was to make our stay, from checking in to checking out, the most memorable and pleasant of stays.
They have a penchant for making sure that all of your needs are met. Both of the concierge, Martha and Mauro, arranged our daily itinerary according to our requests, purchased tickets for points of interest for us, recommended places to visit in Barcelona and the Costa Brava (we took a day trip up to Girona and Tasso De Mar as well and to Sitges which were not on our radar; however, we were so glad of their recommendations), excellent restaurant suggestions and made reservations for us (they also spoke to the restaurant and made sure we had a glass of Cava upon arrival) The reception staff attended to our requests and were readily available 24 hours. I cannot recall all of their names; however, they were all wonderful. Housekeeping maintained the cleanliness of our rooms daily. And Yoli gifted us with some lavender incense for our room Nely and Pedro made sure that our breakfast, which included a delicious array of savory and sweet dishes, various types of coffees and teas, freshly squeezed juices, champagne and Cava, breads and natural spreads, whole and cut fruit (the list goes on) was a culinary delight to send us off for our day of exploring their beautiful city. They were most attentive and professional, friendly and personable. Our stay at Grand Central Hotel has been the best stay anywhere ever; and, they made our vacation a most memorable one. We plan on returning to Barcelona and staying at the Grand Central Hotel and enjoying their hospitality and their pampering and their attention to detail.
