By far the worst resort. Food and service is absolutely ridiculous. I've been to Mexico 13 times and this was the worst experience. After spending $16, 000.00 for 1 week we left after 3 days. Also on one of the night my 16yr old was pulled a gun on by one of the staff members who worked on the resort. The resort tried to cover it up and didn't want to hear us out. Refused and denied to look at the camera footage. They knew exactly what happened and just told us to stay in the room and not to come out or they'll call police on us. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Expedia stepped in immediately and helped us find another resort.

Lovely hotel, great room with a little juliet balcony. Was even brought chocolates in the evening. Would recommend very good location too.

Such a wonderful stay here, clean, quiet, the staff are helpful and friendly. Location is accessible to many restaurants. I will definitely stay here again.

Great customer service, friendly, gorgeous mix of beach and jungle. Fun animals wandering around. Great food for an all inclusive. Central location to cenotes, Tulum, and more. Reservations for restaurants is limited, so there is less chance of sporadic relaxation and dining. I wish that was better but otherwise have really enjoyed my time Here.

Amazing experience at Catalonia Royal Tulum — Adults Only. Great atmosphere, wonderful people, great drinks, and awesome food. Beach is kept very clean! And water is amazing. The ONLY con to this place is the room. AC is set to 21 Celsius, but does not cool down past 25.5 C. And everyone while we are here has the same complaint. Bed and pillows could improve if you want to be picky. But mainly the AC issue. Thanks for a good stay! Mets lots of people from all over the world!

Terrible experience, we could never make a reservation for any restaurant even though there were only 4 people and they were included in the package we paid. When we wanted to complain, the lady laughed at us.
All the attention from the staff seemed that they were the owners, they do less to Mexicans.
They sell you an “everything” included bracelet that does not include everything and they only explain it to you since you paid.
The cocktails of terrible quality, soft drinks without gas, half cups of coffee the very rude waiters catering only to foreigners unless you left them a tip. We were denied access if we did not wear the mouth cover properly and foreigners entered without a mouth cover and bathing suit (when there was a dress code). The horrible food and even if it was buffet they told you the food, every 15 minutes only we were told that they were going to close already despite the fact that an hour was missing arguing that they had to leave ready for the next shift.
The cleaning in the room was half-finished, the garbage was left under the skirting board.
They took more than an hour and a half after check in to deliver the room to us because they were "cleaning and sanitizing" the rooms because they were full even though check out is at 12, lobby bathrooms out of service, only foreigners were offered "complimentary drink“

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is nice and goid food. But the hotel is too far and taxis do not want to take you back to the hotel from Cancun. They changed the fare depends where they pick you up. We went to an expen restaurestaurant and first they said one price and once you are in the car he wanted for money. Going back to the resort when I did my check out they tried to charged me for things I didnt buy. Nobody helps Juan from the beloved restaurante is rude, the service very slow.

Excellent attention they care about the guests that they are at ease.

We had the most amazing waiter ever at la barista! We ever skipped our last al la carte because of how amazing his service was! He gave us the most beautiful table set up on our last night and we will never forget. Abraham matos is our man! 5 stars because of him!

The worst customer service ever! Their customer service doesn’t deserve even 1 star! Manager on duty even said: we don’t care about customers! Let me tell you — save yourself a headache and book another resort! Barely any options for dinner and only 1 restaurant open and they are splitting family: half family for 6 pm and half at 9:45 pm… never have had such a bad experience in any of the hotels we stayed at!

I just returned from a four day stay in Punta-Cana, Dominican Republic — Catalonia Bavaro adults only. Had the worst experience. We booked the private suite and journey together, service was the worst experience. I would never stay here again they were rude unprofessional & every service we paid for was late and unorganized. This was a surprise I had planned months in advance with them. They dropped the ball in every conner save your money this is not a 5 start experience by any means!

Fantastic new hotel in a great location. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and beautifully decorated. Staff are super helpful without being overbearing and the breakfast is awesome!

Celebrated my wife’s 50th with 4 total couples. We all loved the AM breakfast, location, cleanliness. Everything was just perfect.

Located in a very nice place. Grocery store within 20 meters of the property. Nice swimming pool on the roof and the breakfast has so much to choose from. The rooms are very clean and one of the managers told us the hotel is around 2 years old so very clean and fresh feel in the room.

Wow what a hotel. Location was central. Hotel is clean, friendly and offers a great customer service like evening chocolate delivered to your room. Free snacks and non alcoholic drinks between 2pm and 11pm. Nice touches.

Lovely hotel. With a nice jacuzzi downstairs. Tiny bit cold but fun still! the rooms are lovely but the toilet is pretty much in the bedroom. Kinda strange but a nice modern room.

Last visit December 2017: Wonderful as always, except for a few details: we slept late. And at 9:00am… Phone "Good morning, it's 9:00… " … "and? " we hadn't asked for wake-up service. "I'm sorry" and they hung up. Nothing more, administrative silence (or apology) charge you just do the CheckIN. It's a little ugly.
The breakfast was great. I ordered a coffee and a toast (for this I will not pay 20 €), and not having to leave the hotel to have breakfast… They said yes, but they were called by the Walkies "who makes a coffee? " "Where do we give it to him? " … I do not know, a bit of ' decontrol ' or ' disinformation ' about it… it is true that the ' cafeteria ' or small bar they have is not open at breakfast time, but I think they should give a alterntativa (other than room service).

Looking for where to stay in Barcelona this Christmas I found a new hotel in the center, 4 stars, the Catalonia Magdalenes.
The location is perfect, between Portal del Angel and Via Laietana but without being in the hustle of the center; It's on a small street almost without traffic, very quiet.
It is a modern hotel, nice, and very well decorated. As for cleanliness very well.
The room they gave us, within the average, was spacious.

We loved the location, the service, the spa, the free Piscolabis, the terrace with swimming pool, the room… All spectacular. The price per night is worth the extra, the breakfast maybe a little high.

The stay here was just perfect. The room is modern, clean, highly equipped. The minibar is full and rich (and not as expensive as it could be), the sweets and other surprises in the room made us feel special (we came back at the evening and found sweets near the bed. Attaching a photo). Staff were professional and nice. They have a buffet during the day, free of charge. We had a soup, a cake, some sodas, Nespresso (which we also had in our room). The location is great. Less than 10 minutes by foot to Placa Catalonia, La Ramblas, etc… And less than a minute by foot to main streets. I highly recommend the place.

The size of the rooms in Catalonia Magdalenes is average. The food is amazing and they serve it throughout the day. The receptionists at this hotel are extremely helpful. Catalonia Magdalenes is a 5 minute drive from Passeig de Gràcia (the shopping square! ). So I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotell. Worth the money even though pricey. Lovely buffé during afternoons. Hotell in great shape and modern. Breakfast is expensive but great, if we come back we would probably not choose breakfast but use outside options such as Starbucks. Pool on top floor as well as pool in spa area is great. This hotel is great.

Great location for seeing the city and monuments. Room was clean and modern with plenty of water pressure. Staff spoke English well and were very helpful. Would recommend.

One thing I was really uncomfortable, was that the room door had no locking mechanism from inside. I felt really unsafe and insecure. I mean they do have front desk staff, but nothing except a “do not disturb” sign stops anyone to come in the room. I ended up banking a few chairs behind the door.

Great location two blocks away from Las Ramblas and very close to Plaza Catalunya. The staff is very friendly and polite! The facilities of the hotel are great and they offer free coffee and snacks on the lobby!

This hotel is by far the best ive ever been to. It lacks nothing. Modern classy and it makes u feel like a king (or queen) the rooftop pool and luxury lounge beds make you feel like you dont need to go elsewhere. Theres a free buffet from 1 p. M. To 11 p. M. Which has amazing snacks and sweets etc… you can treat yourself to some champagne as u save money by not having to eat out. The rooms are a dream and soundproof… so plenty of time to let your voice say whatever you want when your having some living moments lol. Staff are wonderful. This is a new hotel and should be rated a 5 star because thats exactly what it is… in fact its a 6 star… well… should be. Price of rooms is very cheap for what you get.

Great, clean, quiet and ‘walk to anywhere’ location. Love the pieces of the Roman aqueduct embedded in the floor under glass.

Very happy to have stayed in this hotel for a week. Have everything you need and a very nice snack bar at roof top. Best of all food, snacks, coffee, tea and drinks are provided free.

Beautiful city and this hotel is in a great location for easy access to the must see spots in the city. Thanks to the staff.

Awesome hotel. Brilliant location right in the heart of the gothic quarter but on a really quiet street. Excellent and very helpful staff. Great facilities including complimentary food in the afternoon, gym and a couple of very small pools. The rooftop area is beautiful when the sun is out (which is most of the time in Barcelona). Perfect place to stay when visiting Barcelona, we would definitely come back again.

The hotel is amazing! From the decor to the super attentive staff. The hotel rooms are soo plush and modern. Their is a great view from the rooftop with complimentary snacks. It us super close walking to the metro and Las Ramblas. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing shower. Excellent location. The blackout curtains are truly blackout, great for jetlag, bad for morning punctuality. Would stay again!
