It was a theatre, excellent atmosphere, friendliness of the staff. The food breakfast excellent. Excellent location at the side of the Rambla near the monument to Cristobal Colon. Of course, we return and recommend.

Great experience! Unique design and unexpected beautiful.

This company is horrible. They don’t have a manager with any customer service skills. We paid for a room with AC and it didn’t work the whole stay. It actually cut out power for 24 hrs of our stay. We had to pack in the dark as we left. They won’t refund any partial amount and won’t reply to our emails. I advise you to get much better lodging for the price of this tiny room in a poor neighborhood. Amazing experience. Very modern architectural rooms, open plan showers etc overlooking a basic courtyard but let’s be honest we are here to sleep. Barcelona is what we came to see. So go out and see! The rooms come with tv, and toiletries etc. Very clean rooms. Clean linen Excellent service, the staff are so attentive. The beds are extremely comfortable. … Very close to the coast. Easy taxi rides to sagrada, but we walked the whole thing. Hotel — university — arc — segrada — waterfront etc so it can be done. (The beach and promenade are stunning) Would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed just one night but it was very lovely and unique hotel, love the way they make the rooms, all u need is there ;) definitely RECOMENDED ;)

Nice, modern, clean rooms. At a reasonable price. The breakfast was good and wasn't expensive. The staff were helpful. Only negative I could suggest is that the walls seem to be thin.

Do not trust this hotel. Refundable booking canceled and the lied their way out of refunding the money. Be aware they will do anything they can to take your money.

This was an amazing hotel to stay in. It was modern and kept in theme with the old theatre it used to be. It's hidden away near la ramblas which is a shame as it could easily be missed. Easy check in. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. Breakfast had a large selection for a very reasonable price. We will most definitely be staying here again on our next visit. Ask about the themed rooms as they look amazing. Check out the roof top bar.

This hotel began its life as a theatre and it retains all the uniqueness of its former self in the rooms, lobby and other common areas. It is less than 5 minutes from the famous La Rambla, and 10 minutes from a gym on the strip. There are two convenient stores close to the hotel as well. It is a great location for those who are tired of the same old hotel scene.

This hotel gets five stars and more from us. It has a great feel the minute you walk through the door. Reception staff were extremely friendly and checked us in swiftly. It's theme is perfect. We are a middle aged working class, not hipsters like someone mentioned in there review. There is nothing not to like about this hotel. It stays true to the old theatre it once was. Perfection at its best. Our room was spacious enough for the 2 of us. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. Breakfast had a vast range from hot to cold an worth every penny. We will without a doubt pick here to stay on our next adventure. The rooftop bar was perfect to start our evening before we went into the centre. Lovely location and parking onsite for a fee. There was nothing not to like.

Beautiful style and cared for in every detail to recall the theatrical setting; from the furnishings to the themed rooms to the soaps that took up famous phrases "maybe the SAOP is with you" Stunning the terrace where you can relax at every hour, even with a good mojito or sangria in your hand. The large rooms with comfortable beds, in ours lacked, and there was a lack of a base of support such as a desk or chair, or even bedside tables or shelves on either side of the bed. Really if I have to find a flaw, a little black spots in the shower, given by the humid environment. He did not smell mold, only visually ruined the perfection of the room. Honourable mention to the guy who greeted us at check in. I said we had moved the flight by 12 hours, the plane had also been delayed, we were tired and stunned and finding someone who spoke so well Italian made it all a lot easier. I think if I remember correctly, her name was Andrea. Very good indeed. I would recommend it to everyone.

Worst hotel experience ever. Booked this as a cheap trip to Barcelona after my final year of uni and had to book a whole new hotel as this hotel cancelled our room as we arrived a day late due to cancelled flights from a storm in Barcelona. Tried to contact them but couldn’t get through. The hotel could have used its discretion to change our booking to 6 days but did not. As a student I couldn’t afford to pay for a whole new hotel or even the full price they were asking for and had to call up friends and family to borrow from. I’ve never felt so let down by a hotel before and still so disappointed as having to book a new hotel meant I had to use my spending money which ultimately meant I had no money to spend on my holiday which was supposed to be stress free and a celebration. Staff were unhelpful and simply blamed last minute who we booked through and kept saying if we wanted to stay we had to pay. Generally dissatisfied and disappointed and would not recommend it at all. *Update* The hotel has decided to refund us the money we would have spent and apologised for the inconvenience as they do not advocate such a service.

The worst hotel in my life where I have stayed. And my review is not about the staff. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a disaster. The interior is designed not for civilized people, but for some kind of hipsters. I guess that all 4-5 star reviews are coming from persons who love to sleep “in a bathroom” (because of “wanna be modern” interior design), to put their belongings on the floor (because of the lack of space) and to do their personal hygiene in front of their room mate/s (once more again “ wanna be modern” style). Human beings normally have some respect to their and to others intimacy unlike of animals. Those who still haven’t reached this level in the process of the evolution — probably had enjoyed/will enjoy this “ wanna be modern style” hotel.

Location OK. A few steps from the remblas. It's an old theater. Modern and functional clean room. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They booked us by phone QQ restaurants on our request.

Very nice youthful hotel. Nevertheless really very comfortable and really recommended if you do not want to stay in Barcelona directly on the Ramblas. Breakfast is not included and had to be paid extra, which is a bit too expensive for my circumstances, but it is normal in a big city. Around the corner a few meters further is a wonderful café where you can have breakfast very well.
The shower takes some getting used to as it really isn't high quality. But everything is absolutely sufficient and you can use it wonderfully and there were no problems at all.
We would come back anytime and we really liked it really eerily everything was really very clean and neat point in the room you have two small bottles for free.

The room was very clean and spacious. But there are just too few devices, especially no tables, and the rest are small. The corridor design outside the room is even more surprising. It's in a good position, and if you're planning a cruise on Barcelona, walk from the hotel for about 10 minutes to the Maritime museum next to the pier and take the harbour comb bus, which is also close to the sights of the old town.

No free luggage storage, only small lockers for €2 illogical rooms, very few horizontal surfaces, no closet. But overall very cozy, light and great breakfast.

Good situation, friendly staff. Hotel with hallways peculiar and nice rooms although not very big, however clean and comfortable. Ideal for a weekend getaway.

Excellent we were there in the Easter period. The hotel is very nice, clean and well cared for. Its location is a five minute walk to the Rambla, the port and the Metro Paral · lel. The staff is very professional and helpful especially so Raquel's very nice and helpful person, gave us good tips to visit the city. Surely in the next trip to Barcelona we already know where to go!

A very original and very well located hotel near the Columbus Monument. The bed was very comfortable. The entrance to the criminal parking (narrow, sloped and curved) : We graze the car. The price of the car park (€18 day) is not included in the room. In the toilet there was no brush and the shower tray slides. I don't know if I would repeat.

This place is okay. Smell of weed down the corridors and outside. It is situated next to dole office and in a bad part of town. The rooms are clean and the staff are really very good. Breakfast is okay. Would have liked to rate better but cant.

I spent two nights at this property. The reception is warm. The people at the reception express themselves correctly in French. The rooms are original and modern. Just missing a garbage can and a brush in the toilet.
Breakfast is nice. The room is beautiful. Too bad the restaurant doesn't work anymore.

The Hotel is in a quaint and well connected area. The rooms recall the theme of the theatre. Our room was clean and very bright. Friendly and professional Staff.

Just signed out and so sad I have to leave! The first time in Barcelona and the hotel was amazing definitely worth the price. The staff were lovely so friendly and they would do anything for you. Nothing was too much. I didn’t know where to go so they helped me with a map and directions and a number in case I got lost! I would definitely stay again next time I visit and would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for a great stay! if I could give 10 stars I would!

As in the majority of hotels the reception is always pleasant, that does not deviate from the rule. On the other hand personally I did not like the hallways to get to the rooms, dark corridors black and little light. Poor bedding and the extra bed is nothing but a heater. Parking rate is not given €16 and breakfast is at €12, booking should post these rates well before booking validation.

I can only assess the cafeteria. I will once in a while to breakfast. You get very good price if you ask for the sandwich of the day. A pleasant and quiet place, with good service.

We have just returned from Barcelona where we stayed at the Hotel Acta Mimic. What a truly amazing hotel, loved it. Would definitely stay there again.
The hotel sits off the Main Street so you could easily miss it, but try not to because it's definitely worth staying.
The entrance is like a theatre entrance, staff are so friendly & their English is superb. There are special themed rooms relating to films, musicals e. G. Grease, Chicago, Les Miserables, Lion King. Worth paying the upgrade to stay in. Each floor of the hotel is tastefully done to represent areas of the theatre. They're are lifts to all floors. Top floor is a sun terrace with a bar. Each room (apart from themed rooms) are wheelchair friendly. On the basement is the dining room, which consists of table n chairs, large couches, TV's, toilets, outside smoking area & lockers to use if you are early for your room or leaving late.
The hotel also serves food & tea, coffee etc.
The hotel is 5 minutes from harbour & 5 minutes in opposite direction from Les Rambles. Brilliant location for everything.
Certainly a must to stay here if you visit Barcelona. ❤️

Fun Beatnik place, friendly and kind service, cool atmosphere, quality breakfast, but very thin walls to go with all the fun mirrors and sheer curtains… I would stay here again though.

Its a very nice hotel and the staff is very kind. They help you with ever question. Good service. Good breakfast. Nearby the ramblas. The thema of the hotel is lovely. If we go to Barcelona again we will come back here. Price/quality is very good.

An atypical place but with a nice service a decoration out of the ordinary. Very convenient because next to a lot of cultural places. A few steps from the old port. Good overall!

This is a quirky boutique hotel in a fabulous location close to the harbour and main street of the rambles. Staff are really helpful. It is next to the social security office but don't let that put you off as the homeless few don't bother you. Be extremely careful of your belongings in Barcelona especially if you visit the beach.

My first time to Barcelona and picked this hotel by luck. Had the perfect location, It was a short 5 minute walk to the main road (Rambla) and only a about a 20 minute walk to the beach. The hotel itself has a unique feel and theme to it. When I first checked in, they told me they upgraded my room for me to one on the first floor. I'm not sure how the rest of the rooms in the hotel are but the one I got was themed after the movie Chicago. Which gave the room a very interesting feel to it. The staff there was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They do have a breakfast there every morning and a cocktail bar in the evenings. From the little time I spend in the hotel, it was good time with a comfortable bed and modern amenities.

Good value, clean, bedrooms a little weird but good. No hanging rails in room for towels is about the only thing I did not like… would recommend to frienda.

We were the other day in the terrace and we loved it! A surprise to Raval! The waitress q we attended Argentina excellent!

I do not rate the hotel, but its bar/restaurant. The. Waitress completely incompetent: you ask for a sandwich and a drink, brings you what you have lost and the drink is forgotten, although to ask twice. The manager rude and say, incompetent would be little. Many fumes for a bad service and a bad quality. Rate with a zero would be to be very generous.

Is between the Ramblas and avenida del parallel.

Location Good location-5 minutes to Rambla and Columbus Monument. Good breakfast. An interesting room is a shower cubicle in the room. On the roof there is a bar, sunbeds, you can admire the Barcelona from the 6th floor. Everything is within walking distance. Friendly staff.

This hotel is good value given the location. It's comfortable and clean but a little tried. The décor has character but may not be too everyone's taste.

Amazing theme to the hotel — old refurbished theatre. You get what you pay for but it's an extremely cosy and welcoming place.

The single rooms are depressing. They reminded Me of an insane asylum by his austerity, decoration and services of a minimalist.

There is other than the location — nothing positive to say about this place. — room is supposed to be stylisch but very worn down. The shower was dirty, so was the bed. No Storage — only 5 hangers and no Space to lay things. — very loud — if your neighbours use the toilet you think they are in your room. You hear every step on the corridor and on the floor above. — you will be wet immediately when using the sink. — the blinds don't close properly a it is very light early — if you bed partner moves the whole bed is shaking and you can't really lay stuff next to your bed — no fridge a only a coke mschine with Drinks — there are no windows to open a the air-condition is either not running and then you have no air or it is damn cold you freeze plus it is extremely loud — the personnel is very unfriendly and if you ask you seem to bother them and separating the bill in 2 parts took 30min and no extra bill could be handed out for the 2nd person. They obey the booking conditions and charge immediately — housekeeping ignores the no disturbe sign and talk and work so loudely a afternoon nap was not possible — guests come late and leave early — and since the reception is a open spot you are lucky of you get 3-4 hrs of continious sleep When complaining to the Manager he was very unfriendly and did not care — overall way too expensive for what they have to offer — Street was Not very nice — did Not feel safe — never ever again!

A good choice if you're going to spend a few days in Barcelona. The room is small but functional. Remarkable breakfast. Far above the city average. Diversity of products and of excellent quality. In addition it is very central, just 3 minutes walk from The Rambla.

Great breakfast central location for all sites in the city. Really clean. Changed sheets every day and fresh towels. Lovely relaxing area on rooftop. On arrival there is a feel that ur in a bad area as there are a few people sleeping ruf near the hotel but they are harmless. Staff so helpfull … shampoo supplied also. 5 mins walk to the main area. A modern, design and functional hotel. Very good to spend a week in Barcelona. A very hearty breakfast. Large comfortable bed. Regret: impossible to the black night, the windows don't s open no and little storage.

There are no windows in the rooms.

I have spent 2 days there and the truth is that it has several drawbacks. Room seems a hideout, very small, without ventilation and with piping on the top floor above the bed, so whenever they are showering or pull the chain seems that it is going to fall on. And if you have a car of an acceptable size better not try get him in the parking lot. I do not recommend it.

Got me a case of the planB and I wanted to go to Barcelona, I chose this hotel and I do not recommend it for a reason:
the room is very small and the bathroom has no door. If you want to shower for over 30 seconds throughout the room will tarnish and as it has no window, the only option remaining is to open the door.
On the other hand, the room does not have sites to place nothing.
And the parking is for micromachines. The largest car entering the garage is a pole.
This well-situated truth and the decor is great but it's not functional. Nothing.

Lovely minimalistic architecture. Brilliant basement lobby and breakfast but rooms lack of fresh oxygen since the windows are inoperable. My room was in the groundfloor hallway which had too much noise in the morning. Also there was some shaft ducts passing by my room, I woke everytime someone flushed the toilet. Maybe its just this one room but I certainly not going there anymore.

We stayed for 4 nights and we really enjoyed it. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Most of them speak very well english. The room had a nice modern design in black and white. The highlight is a light which colour you can adjust :-)! Its clean and they quickly repaired the broken colour light in our room! Our favourite was the breakfast. The buffet has a lot to offer. Bread, toast, egg, bacon, ham, dessert, coffee, fruit juices, corn flakes, croissant and a lot more! cost-perfomance-ratio is very good :-).

Minimalist, modern and functional.

Brilliant! From the steel topped desk at check-in, through it's dark red lit corridors and in to it's minimalist glass walled rooms it ticked every box on my list. Great location, within a few minutes walk of the Paral Lel metro, and just minutes from the sea, it was a great base to explore Barcelona.
