Clean, comfortable and excellent attention to the public. The value for money to my understanding is slightly high. (Probably by dates) and the location is good because it has the bus station next door and you can walk to the promenade and the shopping area.

GOOD value for money in low season.

It is very good for the price and location, staff helpful. But as a point to improve would be the theme acoustic and environmental: the walls do not isolate the noise and the doors either, the doorbell to access from the street is heard quite high, and the heating is too strong. What would be saved in heating could be invested in an acoustic reform.

Great value hotel, convenient for busses, trains and city centre.

I'm in the wee cafe Cadiz 13 great wine €1.50 and a free tapa of tortilla and bread — fantastico! The trains are infrequent but the buses are very regular in all directions including the 10 mins to the airport, faster than the taxi!

Great little hidden gem in the centre of Santander. Very close to the ferry terminal and surrounded by places to eat and other shops. The rooms are quaint with a rather comfortable bed (but one, single, long pillow for the double bed, so maybe bring a spare if you are sharing! ) and a nice desk. Bathroom doesn't have a lock on the door but the shower is very good. Great privacy window with a shutter although it is rather noisy as it's on a main road right by the bus station. There is no air conditioning in this hotel and no tea-making facilities (sadly for us Brits! ). They also do not know much English so I do recommend at least some Spanish (Google Translate is handy as well as phrasebooks, we had to use as we don't know much Spanish) however they try their hardest to understand. You are asked if you want your room cleaned daily and this is done very well. We were shown a map with explanations on where to go and which busses to take around the city, which was very handy. All in all, it's a fabulous hotel for the price and we'd love to come again.

Is well located, downtown, is economic and clean, but is a bit noisy and the rooms are bit spacious.

I had a dreadful experience at this hostal. I did not stay there, because I was not on the list of people who were expected that night. The elderly man on the desk held a scrappy piece of paper with these names handwritten badly on it, and my name was not on it! Therefore, I left and found somewhere else to stay. It all looked so unprofessional, no computer printouts etc. I am beginning to wonder if I went to the right place! They have taken my money however, telling lies. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Clean, good value for money, located near lots of shops and bars.

The situation is very good because it is next to the station and the area of pecking and party. Although it is the other side of the city on the beaches and the Magdalena Palace.
We were in August, the room was small, damp and with an interior courtyard that it was better not to open the window. 61 euros seemed an abuse.
