This is probably the best hotel we stayed in while we traveled in Spain. It’s very centrally locates. Close to lots of great sites, and lots of shopping. I think it’s super safe too. I walked around alone at night and didn’t feel scared.

The hotel itself is alright. The location is super because it's right in the middle of the city center. My only comment is the knowledge and capabilities of the staff. It often happens that I have questions for the front desk staff and they either don't know, don't want to answer or are not even able to express themselves properly in English.

New story : stayed there 2 nights and posted the 1st review on the first night. On the last day, I realized they have cancled my breakfast and was kicked out of cafeteria. Im back to the front desk, receptionist named Francis or whatever looked straight into my eyes and yelled at me 'Ok it is a mistake. Im giving you a breakfast ok? '. While talking about their own mistakes, he refused to say Sorry until I repeated 'you never said sorry for your own mistake' 3 times. Warning — Receptionists are prepared to fight back if complaints received Advice — Avoid fight. As a frequent business traveler, I have experienced many global hotel brands and am convinced that service level at this place you should expect is far below the industry standard, especially the person whose name is Castill or something.

The hotel is very well located. The staff is great and very nice. The high quality kitchen. The only bad thing is the gym. It is very small and the timetable is too limited. You can't go early in the morning to exercise. A shame.

One night at the Melia after a flight cancellation. Good management by the hotel staff. Clean room with baby cot provided. Good dinner, very friendly staff. Breakfast very full with many choices of quality.

Muy buen hotel. Amabilisimo servicio, desayuno muy completo y una zona de bar muy agradable. Comimos en el restaurante y lo mismo, el servicio estupendo y platos variados muy ricos. Las habitaciones están genial también. Lo único que les falla es el gimnasio, es enano, pero quien necesita ir al gimnasio teniendo una ciudad como Granada para pasear. Un 10z.

A great hotel with THE BEST BREAKFAST you can find. The staff very friendly and always available to assist you, from questions about the city up to you to ask for a taxi. The only thing that the first room they gave us overlooked a inner courtyard closed where there she ran the air and for some reason had no air conditioning, but the next day we changed to a larger one with 3 windows and everything perfect.

The location was great which is why this is two stars and not one. The rooms were just okay though one of our two rooms had windows only onto an air shaft which was dark and gloomy. But the service was extremely, extremely poor. The front desk messed up our tour for the Alhambra which was the main reason we were coming to Granada. And while they advertise on their website that they have gluten free food at their breakfast safe for people with celiac disease, they did not have any gluten free food for my son at the breakfast the first day which was particularly upsetting considering that it was noted on our reservation and the front desk confirmed it at check in. There were other things that they handled poorly as well. It was very disappointing. We have stayed at Melia hotels before, including 4 days at the Gran Melia Colon in Seville during this same trip, and the Melia Granada does not live up to the Melia name at all and this does not deserve to be classified as a 4 star hotel. They do not seem to have near enough staff to handle the number of rooms and guests in the hotel. I would avoid this hotel despite the excellent location. There are many other options in the same area.

Really nice hotel. I'm an American and this hotel was 4 stars even to our standards which I believe are a bit higher when it comes to comfort.

4 Star Hotel very well located. Neat-looking. Well-trained staff, with good presence and professional. The bathroom in our room too small. You have to give a touch to the person responsible for breakfast. The rusty fruit and pastries and other dry products must be removed. The coffee machine and the dining room Cook a ten. And the presentation of honey a puntazo. Nor is it understood why the door is closed without step and make you enter by the if you have it, mysteries of life. Good/price quality ratio.

I'm gonna go ahead and apologize for my grumpy mood, but I barely slept last night with my room like an icebox. Even after a few hours of trying to sleep in spite of the chill, waiting for the heat that I kept turning up, I finally grabbed the extra blanket in the closet. Even then I was uncomfortable and couldn't sleep. I got in around 12am and tried to get right to bed for a day full of Alhambra and site seeing. When I went down stairs first thing in the early morning, more of a matter of getting up than waking up, the desk attendant explained to me that the thermostat doesn't work (even though it appears to). Rather than using the thermostat on the wall, you're suppose to use this random dial near the bed. This may be somewhat normal in Spain — I don't know — but I've traveled to Spain four times now and have never encountered this problem. Now I'm exhausted, grumpy, and heading off to try and take full advantage of my one day in Granada. I highly recommend that the hotel put a small sign near the wall thermostat, indicating that it doesn't work in spite of appearing to. The only reason I didn't give 1-star was because their breakfast was delicious. Bed was not great, bathrooms were nice and clean.

Perfect in every way. Location, cleanliness, rooms, service, comfort. Parking stuck (this is to value in the center). Finally they took a fine from the Granada chambers which arrived at two months. Highly recommended Hotel.

Guaranteed warranty being a Melia. The rooms are right without luxuries and the location of the hotel is pretty good, if you have good legs you can walk to the Alhambra. Being in the center you are just a step away from all the good restaurants. The hotel staff, as is normal in Melia hotels, are very friendly and speckles try to make your stay a memorable one. The only bad thing is that the room overlooks a street with restaurants and smells like fried cooking all the time if you open the window, but it has a view of the beautiful Alhambra.

Surprisingly very dirty with very rude staff. Not once were we offered a glass of water with our meal, the waiter was standing around doing nothing, our plates were not cleared from the table, everything was self service. Not worthy of a Michelin star restaurant. The evening meal was cold and tasteless, you could get better in Burger King opposite the hotel. The rooms are very dated, small and dusty. There are stains all over the carpet in the reception area and the watches displayed in the glass cabinets are thick with dust. This hotel is more worthy of a 2 star rating in my view not 4 star. It was not by choice that we stayed here, it was thanks to BA cancelling our flight due to a 'technical error'.

Mixed review based on several groups we had with us. Lower stars because of expectations. Hotel front staff were pleasurable. Location was perfect for shopping and meals in Granada. My room for the most part was clean, but air conditioning stopped working early in the morning and wouldn't start up again. Someone else in our group had a room that smelled like urine which ended up being the result of a leaky toilet/sewer. Hotel staff sprayed deodorant to help cover up the smell, but would not move them to another room even when the AC wouldn't start. I thought the buffet breakfast was perfect and had to go back again. I was there early and was told if you arrive later in the morning the quality dropped so get there early. Dinner on the other hand was weak though I was there late so maybe it was better early on. Wi-Fi was reliable with no drops.

Very nice rooms with large baths. Service was very polite and check in easy. Very expansive breakfast. Would stay here again.

I stayed overnight with a tour group. I had my own room which is was clean and had a king sized bed. The hotel itself is spacious and comfortable. There is comfy seating in the lobby area. The Wi-Fi was very reliable in the entire hotel area. The room was clean. The walls are a little thin so you do hear neighboring guests but nothing too bad. We stayed a weekend night and the noise from the street did not bother me at all. The breakfast was very good and had a broad selection of foods. A peasant experience overall!

The location is spectacular in the heart with fashion under sites. On the other hand is a problem arrive by car because it is forbidden to enter the Center and q despite that the hotel takes registration and alerts to the authority fine can reach you. The small room was a very ugly interior courtyard and while at the beginning it then ranting thanked him by the silence while outside rooms had to buy ear plugs.

It remains one of the hotels of reference in Granada. It is in the Centre. Granada is a small town, so everything is at your fingertips.

Wonderfully spacious rooms that were kept extremely clean. The staff are very friendly, who and you can trust them with anything. The breakfast provided was excellent. An all rounded amazing experience. Will recommend to all and will visit again soon!

A 4-star hotel that has no parkin or agreement with the parking zone.

In general, quality hotel that meets all expectations, very well located and with the characteristics of all the Melia good care and quality.

Central, a very good breakfast but the room without temperature controller.

Very well located, good area, next to one of the main arteries of the city. The facilities are in perfect condition and the hotel is large enough. It has parking, but rather limited places, so you have to book in time. However, the location very good.

Perfect location for moving around the city, which for a tourist is a very important factor. The care I received by those in charge of public relations was excellent. The fantastic food. Very well compartmentalized rooms, powerful air-conditioning (in summer is gorgeous) and for companies to have an exhibition area and meetings or mass food (I had the opportunity to participate in one of them and was very satisfied) the only problem: does not have its own car park, which means leaving the car a little bit away from the otherwise fantastic hotel.

According to US standards the rooms in this hotel are a 2.5, they do NOT look like the photos, the mattress is hard, and decor is very dated, but having a room with a private balcony view of the street and the Sierra Nevada, along with the super friendly staff brought this up to 4 stars. It is totally worth it. Loewe and other designer shops are right next door. Avoid the slick sandwich shop across the street and head out to the local square for better restaurants. The hotel bar is very nice.
