The biggest disappointment in Cape Town Cannot recommend this establishment a waste of money and waste of your time there is far better places for half the price in Cape Town Be careful it’s not always what it seemsAnd when you want to see the manager the front door man plays the role of host manager and is not at all interested to help.

Relaxing and friendly staff.

What a surprise. Was really surprise with the rooms — very spacious and everything you need. Staff were really friendly. Massage was lovely. Food a bit overpriced but very tasty! the 2 dogs were a bonus to me. Will definatley be back.

I am flawed at the reviews left here when my experience was extremely poor! 16 May 2021 at 11h00 appointment:
How else does one rate service other than a 1? The 1 is simply for the service I received at the restaurant — which was decent food and a friendly waitress, if that were not the case rating would have been a ZERO! That's how putrid the service at The Sugar Hotel was. If you do decide to risk going for a massage be sure to impress not to have a massage from Unathi, unless you want oil put on your body (note: put and not applied / massaged). Walked in to a barking dog, the spa room was right next to the reception and each person that walked in was greeted by loud barks. If this is part of the relaxation, let me be the first to say NO! This definitely does not create a soft, calming ambience. Well, I guess it was better a greeting than the silence and serious faces received from the staff. I've been to many spa's, from 5 star to the home-based services but not any of those visits (monthly) was as disgusting as my visit at The Sugar Hotel. Never, ever again — even if they paid me to.

I recently went for a full body massage (my first massage). Ever since, my sleeping routine has improved, and my body feels great!

VERY unprofessional! I bought a Spa voucher for two online. My sister phoned yesterday to make an appointment on Saturday the lady told her she will phone her back that never happened. Today I phoned again and was told the same story I told the lady that my sister phoned yesterday and never got called back she said that she'll make sure I get a call back and still Nothing! the voucher was bought for our parents because it's their anniversary and we wanted them to go on Saturday.
Didn't even go to your hotel yet and I already have a bad experience! What am I supposed to do just rock up there?

Had best time ever… my kids enjoyed too, hubby can't get over the spa treatment…

We recently had a breakfast as well as the burger with 2 beers. The muesli, yoghurt and fruit was very good, the Salmon Benedict also pretty good but the burger not so good. The buns were not fresh so the chicken burger was rather small on it's own! Beers were average. However, it is pretty centrally situated in Greenpoint, the venue great as were the waiters so it is well worth a visit.

Booked a last minute Hyperli voucher for a couples massage and meal at Sugar Hotel. The service was impeccable and the food (ravioli) was even better.

Had a great one night stay including breakfast and massage the next morning. The staff is fantastic ☺

Amazing hotel that is completely underrated on the Cape Hotel scene. Wonderful, attentive staff… and luxury next to none. My hotel of choice for all future visits!

Had such an amazing stay in this hotel. It is cute and trendy with an extremely friendly staff. My room had it’s own private balcony and massive bathroom. Reasonably priced and in a great location. Walking distance of the waterfront. The spa services were excellent as well as the restaurant. It’s only improvement could be adding a fitness facility.

Such a wonderful hotel! Great location, ambiance, staff, and food. My husband and I stayed for 3-nights and we're treated to great food selections from their in-house restaurant (Spice), warm conversations with the staff, and personally mapped travel recommendations from the owner (who modestly states "I work here". ) The hotel is walking distance to the V&A Mall and Robbens Island ferry. The rooms were warm, cozy, and modern. Definitely impressed by this selection! We shall return!

Had one of the best meals ever, tonight at the Sugar Hotel. The service we got from the hotel manager to our waiter, Webster, was great. I would definitely recommend Sugar Hotel for an night on the town. Friendly service with top quality food from the kitchen.

Had a fabulous couple's full body massage on my birthday. Staff was perfectly polite and accommodating to my needs … I will definitely be recommending it.

Pathetic! We phoned to book a couples massage and had been told that our booking was confirmed. We received a call 20 minutes later being told that our entertainer voucher would not be accepted and that the Spa was full. The exscuse was that the new owner had rejected the vouchers since taking over the business.

New hotel customer service defiantly 5 stars but the finishing touches in the building not really 5 star as they claim they 5 star hotel. A spar option is available you can find some great deals on Wikideals (almost like group on) for spar deals.

Great hotel. The Staff is amazing! very kind and helpfull. The Room 4 is way to small in compare with the other ones, im 1 meter and 83 cm and my feets didt fit in the bed. The internet connection very slow. Food great, the breakfast is amazing very good. Very well placed, close to everything.

Very quaint. Perfect for honeymoon. Easy walk to V&A waterfront, shopping centers, restaurants and car hire.

Marc's Table dining experience. This restaurant was absolutely amazing. I would definitely come back again and I would recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I visited the restaurant connected to Sugar Hotel: Marc's Table, it is AMAZING! It is registered on The Entertainer and makes it even more amazing.

Location (between waterfront and center), design (trendy), sercice oriented and staff who make your stay pleasent and easy. Best place in CA.
