Amazing deco, upper class atmosphere. Into Jungle palace.

Stayed there in February this year. Fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

Not listening attentively to a friend to join her for tea we landed at Ammazulu African Palace… what a fabulous " mistake" Zama the lady who guided us thru the palace was just amazing, helpful and knowledgeable.
the attention to detail the history, the flora and fauna the story behind all this is a must see…
we are still awed and will be back for more with friends.

This place is magical. The rooms were spacious… decor is amazing. Words dont do justice to describe it… Art work is amazing… Absolutetly loved it…

This unconventional, eclectic palace never ceases to amaze, in the true sense of the word. There are treasures aplenty in many nooks and crannies. It is a riot of colour, and a vibrant and pleasing assault on the senses. We will certainly be back. We enjoyed tea and scones, but this was by prior arrangement.

Wow, what a place. Highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed guaranteed.

Beautiful artefacts wherever you look and we had THE most amazing room with a view from our wrap around balcony straight over the gorge. Absolutely stunning!

Alta an zama are amazing hosts. The place is really a place out of a fairytale I love the art the culture to be honest even the Taj Mahal didn't captivate my attention like this did so yes I will come back as many times as I possibly can. I will tell all my friends an family about this gem of a place.

Very upmarket African feel accommodation. Rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. Management always very friendly and helpful, Chef Alta is a gem! Ensure you book your meals as the standard of her cooking is to die for. Only one thing to be looked at is the driveway from street level as it is a car killer.

This is a hidden gem, and to learn about how the hotel was built, abd where all the decor and parts came from is proof of its unique value.

Nestled in the back end of Kloof, also an amazing gem and ideal place to introduce overseas guest to the spirit of Africa.

The most beautiful place … I loved the detail in everything I’m love art — especially African Art and this place made me feel like a little kid in a Candy Shop! absolutely breathtaking! cant wait to go back.

If you want to stay in a crossover between a museum and a luxury B&B this is the place to be.

Great place to stay with large, well furbished rooms and great views of the valley below. The staff were also very welcoming and accommodating. Only downsides is that the location is very remote and there is no onsite bar or restaurant.

Amazing place, I came with our garden club on a morning visit.
We had lovely tour through the Palace, our guide was lovely, very informative, but… I will have to come back for another tour as it is very difficult to take it all in.
There is just so much to see and remember, there are the most wonderful things to see.
We had our tea afterwords with the most delicious individual quiche's.
This was one of the best outings we have had in a long time.

A very interesting palace with wonderful array of eclectic art. HAVE TO visit if in the area to embrace the Zulu heritage. Breath taking views from the dining room with an even better view from atop the chicken lounge. Have spotted leopard in valley so keep your eyes peeled.

This was our second time staying here, and we were again amazed at the amount of detail and thought that went into this place. The rooms are great, and big and have everything you need and more, whether for a one night stay or a romantic getaway. Just beware that breakfast is a cold breakfast and you pay extra if you want a hot breakfast depending on what you want. But the view of Kloof Gorge and the nature reserve is great from the eating area. The driveway is quite steep and windy and really bumpy so take note.

Very fancy and the views are fantastic.

You'll never see so much African artwork in one place anywhere else. Owner Peter Amm has created a magical kingdom on the edge of the Kloof Gorge. Get up early and go for a walk in the gorge before breakfast.

Good service but I must say it is a hideous structure on a most beautiful gorge, I feel they could have made it blend in a bit.
