How disappointed I am in this hotel. Guests) including myself) have been waiting since 07:00 to be placed in our rooms. And we are still waiting. (it's now 14:20) We booked since April and they have the nerve to tell us they are still ironing sheets. All guests are tired and waiting in reception. Can the service here please improve.

The view is so Beautiful and perfect.

The hotel is very much clean nd the view is perfect.

It was Nice Except the Smell from the Receptionist and also the Smell of carpets in the room. But my stay was excellent thank you.

Nice views, easy accessibility to most of everything.

Fix TV remotes, aircon, furniture, lifts and get rid of the bad smell. Get trainable staff.

Great place to have a pot of coffee, watch the crazy happenings out front and look out over the ocean. The servers are great. Management could learn a lesson from them.

Room was not ready at 14:00, had to wonder around for over an hour before finally being allowed into our roomReported our fauly aircon 4 times between 15:30 and 21:00 before it was attended toThere were 2 large groups booked in which caused chaos at breakfast as they took over with total disregard for othersBy the time we got breakfast there was little avalable as the 2 groups ate quicker than the service from the kitchenVoice prompt from the lift could be heard every time the lift reached our floorNo hot water in the morningRooms were clean and comfortable.

Its a cool place. 1 thing that need to be upgraded is the door locks. The use of electronic cards to access entry would be appreciated. Overally I do appreciate the good service reveived. The friendly staff had to rush to bring a wheelchair for my mum. Thank you.

Not a huge fan of this place. Nothing seems to be like what it was before. This places standards have dropped alarmingly. I am really disappointed at the staff… They don't have any etiquette and respect when talking to clients. The food is really disappointing and the service is really slow and take forever to make things happen.

Loved it. We had a beautiful stay for a four days training, food was great and staff very friendly. Good hotel that I can also book for family outings.

Great stay. Environment clean, linen and towels clean and changed regular. Breakfast great and the omelette tops it all. Thumbs up for this place.

The staff are kind and courteous. The meals excellent and rooms are amazing … spacious and comfortable.

The hotel is old but well mantained, after a long day of meetings after meetings I decided to go to my room to take a bath before going to the party only to find my room in a state. Bed not made up, duvet on top of the couches also covering coffee cups. Bath tub still had water from this morning. My day was spoiled. I have to wait while my room is being cleaned. This is not acceptable.

Drug and prostitution hive outside. Lock your valuable items in the safe in the room.

A awesome place to stay. Breakfast is outstanding and the view of the sea from your room is breathe taking.

Cockroaches in the room. Cold water tap doesn't work. Window doesnt close. No Wi-Fi. No parking. Disappointing…

The place is great and service is excellent but could do with a small refrigerator in a room for refreshments, after all it's self catering.

This is the worst hotel I have ever come across in the heart of the Beach Front. It smells, the rooms are old fashion. No bar fridge, dirty windows. To do your ironing is a nightmare, it is like you are being sent to the shop and back. Found one ironing station the 7th floor dirty and could not not adjust the iron but in all that, the stuff could not see anything wrong. I will never recommend this to anyone. It should be downgraded to a minus 5 star. If I had a choice, I would have left right away that same night and tell them to keep the money and do renovations with it. All I can say about this Beach Hotel sies! This will be a long weekend of April 2018 I have ever had. If you come here, please do yourself a favor; never bring young kids and come drunk just to sleep and wake up and go.

This place is still beautiful yaz so ppl plz visit that area.

Pier 107 serves great local food at a great price.

Loved their service it was wonderful, the people who work there were very friendly but didn't like their Windows they were too dirty and as well as their couches were very dirty.

Hated the place. It smells awful from the foyer right through the entire place. The basement is dirty and smells worse than the inside of the hotel. Air-conditioning is noisy and building is run down and need serious upgrading. Windows were dirty could not even appreciate the view. Room service was delayed and noise levels are disturbing. Corridor lights were not even working. Would not recommend it at all.

This hotel is home, it's hard for us to book another hotel besides Gooderson Beach Hotel I love it ♥️

I found this to be a great place. Good value for money! Agreeded though on the cleaning issues. Beautiful view from the room and staff all wonderfully friendly.

I found the hotel to be clean friendly staff. Only breakfast the plates was smelling fishy lovely place to come to for people with disabilities. All areas are wheel chair accessible. Will come back. Definetly.

This is an awesome hotel with the view of the beach, its clean, peaceful and convenient to stay in. They just need cereal bowls in the dinning hall as that's the only frustrating thing but their breakfast is also amazing! I would go back in a heart beat!

Affordable and clean accommodation. Poor internet as you go up. It's strong in the ground and first floor.

The cleaners clean the rooms very late in the afternoon when you want to go back to the room and relax you can't because they are busy. You have to resort to roaming around even if you are not in the mood of going out. The are no bar fridges in the room no microwaves. It is and old building not beautiful at all I didn't like it that's my opinion.

Old fashioned bugdet hotel with basic amenities. Staff are nice and friendly. Located very conveniently on south beach n within the golden mile. In close proximity to the beach, eating joints and shops.

I want to know how much for two night for 2 adults and 2 kids. Age 12 and 5?

It is a good place to stay and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are comfortable and very neat. And the hotel is located in the center of the city which makes access to other places very easy. Unfortunately the parking lot is very small and has an unpleasant smell. The rate you provide at the hotel before you stay is economical but in this it is not specified that breakfast, parking, and other services are not included.

Very beautiful view of the Marine parade, clean and quiet hotel environment. Friendly staff and wide variety of food at breakfast buffet.

That place needs to be fumigated. Full of cockroaches. Wouldn't not recommend it.

First time staying over here. Perfect location to everything. Walking distance to Ushaka Marine World and Moses Mabida Stadium! Amazing nice staff, They really went the extra mile to make my stay comfy. Spacious rooms, buffet breakfast with cool chefs! Thank you to management and staff! You guys are the best.

Beach Hotel is a home away from home, 8 years concecutive staying over there. Staff are so friendly and professional. I will always book with this hotel. Thanks u for a real hospitality just add small refrigerators in rooms.

From when I first set foot into the hotel reception area it had a off putting smell. I then went down to the basement to get my bags from the car and noticed stray cats which seemed to have made a home there. I took a lift up to my room and there was that smell again, which followed throughout the passage to my room. I put my bags down on a bench next to the table only to see a cockroach running against the wall. Later the evening I went to bed only to find a hair on the "clean" sheets. The next day I opened the curtains to look at the beach view only to notice the dirty windows. I had a shower and I found yet another hair on the "clean" towels. I put all the towels on the floor for the cleaners to collect and to get new ones but the very next day I noticed another hair on my "clean" towels. The room seemed to get quite stuffy in the mornings on the hot days and I couldnt seem to find a remote for the aircon which seemed to not be in use. On the last day, I packed up my things and just looked under the bed incase something had rolled under only to find a old french fry under my bed! I had a horrible experience at your hotel and wouldve left if I had other accommodation. I hope you guys can improve in the issues I have mentioned. Thank you.

In really, really bad shape, needs a serious make over and maintenance. No TV remote in my room, a dead cockroach in my room. The dust is really bad, everything has rust on it. My shower head does not work. The coffee station is not even close to a plug, I need to move the kettle every time I want to make coffee. The taps does not close properly and the windows needs a serious wash. There is one positive thing, the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly.

We had a bit of a mixed experience. We had to wait forever before a closed gate (arrival was about 21:00 pm). We were the only Guests. The paths between the huts and the restaurant were extremely long and poorly lit. It was a bit scary. The rooms or however, The cabins were nicely decorated. The facility was very simple and moderately maintained.

I stayed there on business on 20 April 2016. I found the hotel in need of a face-lift … the cherry on top was when I found a used condom lying in the middle of the bedroom floor! I was absolutely shocked…!

Not too bad had lunch and beers. Great curries value for money fantastic view of the ocean while having an ale.

Incredibly dated, shower didn't work properly, and felt a bit sad. The breakfast was edible but I didn't enjoy the burger I had for dinner. For a beachfront, ocean view property, it's disappointing to see how lackluster it is in quality. Come on Durban, do something with your waterfront.
