Best buffet good selection taste of satisfaction.

Terrible customer service. Refund that takes 14 days still not paid out after 30 days! Restaurant staff keep giving false information. Will not recommend this place to anyone!

Excellent service, I had my Thanksgiving in one of their suits. Portia Busane gave me the best service I have ever experienced. From the day I enquired about the venue to the last detail of printing my guest list, arranging for my outfit to be ironed and generally being at my service as if I was the only person she was helping. I have no words to describe the excellence of their service. Not to mention the affordability of their services. I highly recommend this hotel for function hosting.

I stayed only one day in your hotel but I felt out of space in our room there was only one chair no water we have ask water but all in vain. We had to use toilet water that is health hazard but the staff was wonderful there was also no remote for TV.

This use to be the best and slowly you are becoming more of other hotels, I believe u are alwys understaffed because the service is terrible 😣 I have alwys ordered ur lamb curry but yesterday it was my last day. Ur prices increase bt quality of food (meat) is degrading. I have never tasted such dry lamb meat in a curry. I would write a long review if I would tell u all.

Good day. Even though the rooms are nice and the staff, service at the dining room section is terrible. I was sitting and waiting for dinner service to open and not one server could ask if I wanted something to drink. Everyone around me was served and helped. No one even looked in my direction.

This place is so good and has good views.

Your people are taking me for a run around. I submitted my documents for a refund in May. Was told due to lock down and staff not at work it would take some time which I understand. On the first of July Drissalda emailed me saying she didn’t know she was meant to request my ID so can I send her a copy which I immediately did. And then I asked when should I expect the refund and she said 14 days. Today marks 21 working days and I have received no refund and no feedback. I have sent enquiry emails to her. She has ignored. I phoned her on Tuesday, 28 July and she said I should have been refunded by now. She will send a follow up to finance, To someone named Nerupa and she will CC me. To date she is not copied me in any follow up email. To date being 21 working days. No one is providing me with feedback. It seems I am been taken for a run around. What is going on?

How dare you book in essential service workers with no hot water at the facility. No Hand sanitizer in rooms. And the room had no aircon extremely disappointing especially when we booked in with a 5month old baby.

The food is great, yay no Pork. Hospitality is great. When you step into reception there's a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Every one makes you feel at home. Beautiful rooms. Housekeeping in top form. I would highly recommend this place anytime any day.

Very good staff and very pleasant stay had at this hotel.

The hotel owns a piano, but when someone who knows how to play wants to entertain people the management stops you. Apparently they believe classical pianists "break" piano's. The piano is just an ornament for them. Not to mention it's extremely embarrassing to be told to stop in the middle of a piece in front of guests. This is the most stuck up hotel I've ever visited. They can't even do thier job properly, I check in on the first day and our room has no towels, they're zero parking space and the pictures online give the impression that there is a pool here, but it's just a water feature. I Will never come back here.

The best way to describe Coastlands Musgrave is to say that it is comfortable, but tired. The staff are welcoming and courteous. The food for breakfast and dinner was as you would expect from a hotel buffet — with some tasty vegaterian options. The rooms have been around the block a bit, but are comfortable. You may want to ensure that you have a full-sized shower (if that is what you are after) as some rooms have very unusual hand showers…

Perfect hotel! Hosted an amazing birthday party here. Its clean, modern, beautiful and fairly quiet. Has an exclusive vibe. The hotel staff went above & beyond to make sure we were happy!

Love that they are halal. It is a bit small to handle the large crowd for the events I was there for. Parking was tight and Ridge road can be dangerous to go on and off from. They do make up for it by having great staff directing you every step of the way. They do have a very nice venue. Particularly the veranda on the entrance level where the fountain creates a really calm atmosphere. The breakfast was up to standard with good service.

I enjoyed my stay here with my husband… the stuff at the reception was so friendly and it was warm inside. The bed was so comfortable and I slept immediately as I got in. We ate a delicious breakfast and a mouth watering buffet dinner. Next time I'm in Durban, I'm definitely choosing it again.

The hotel room was very clean and well decorated. The room was a little small but not uncomfortably. As I had a bit of to to spare I enjoyed a lovely massage in the spa which was really enjoyable. The meals I had in the hotel were also enjoyable. My only negative complaint was that the reception was very cold and borderline rude on arrival and check-in.

I loved this hotel. The ambiance, comfort, friendly staff, size of the room all gr8. Plus side is a spa on-site, breakfast included. All halaal, an amazing spread and delicious. The food manager was on-site at Breakfast time to ensure clients were happy, fed well and your requests were seen to promptly. A very relaxing breakfast area with very little noise which I prefer. I'm sure to go back again.

Been staying here for 1 or 2 nights a month for the last 3 years and some small issue like aircon or hairdryer in room not working but small things that you can overlook. But today, no hot water… And only after you call front desk are you told there is an issue. This place is trying but it's showing it age and you can see that things are just patched over and not replaced? Needs a serious make over. Sad but will have to find another place for my monthly visits.

This place is amazing, especially the rooms with the balcony. Had to upgrade to a bigger room though because their standard rooms are small… Everything is all up in your face. Staff is very friendly and quick to assist with anything you require. It's unfortunate that the noise from the bar gets to everyone… would be better if the bar was in its own closed up space.

When we arrived on Thursday receptionist was very friendly, professional and welcoming. The staff and management were friendly. Our room was neat and spacious even the balcony had a magnificent viewThe breakfast was delicious and the kitchen staff and waitresses professional, they catered to my specific requirements. Nice ambient atmosphere friendly staff. Food is comparable to most hotels in this class nothing to brag about. Rooms are neat cleaned and air conditioning throughout, better views from upper floors great for venue bookings.

Attended a conference yesterday. As a Banter I felt right at home as my meal needs at lunch were well catered for. Although breakfast was not banting friendly, the waitress went the extra mile to get me slices of cheese and strawberries. Thank you Coastlands in taking care of the little details. Well done.

Hotel at Musgrave durban. It is situated in a very peaceful and quite environment. Hotel accommodates all guests and parking space enough for guests. They is conference or any events. Their reception is quite impressive and appealing.

The hotel is a lovely place to relax. The ambience is great. Staff r very helpful and care for ur needs. However, I went for dinner on new years eve (buffet in the restaurant) 2017. The buffet was pathetic. It is something that should be avoided. The al la carte menu is so ancient that it needs to be revised. Other than that everything else is commendable.

When I drove in to the hotel facility my first impression was that the place is neat and well kept. We were ushered to the parking area where parking was available at no charge. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted by a warm atmosphere and friendly reception staff. The outside area by the foyer is relaxing and overlooks the splash pool / water feature.

As a maried couple, this was definitely the perfect place to go just to connect again… the massages was very nice … the staff were very friendly, our room was very cozy, the view over the city was something to appreciate… however its not the places fault the wind was so extreme… the only hick up I had was we chose to sit and eat in the lounge area from the menu … and the chairs are much higher than the tables … which makes it impossible to eat your food … otherwise (y) we liked it!

Didn't like when I was refused to have my supper in my room and had no option but to use the dining room with the buffet there. Every other place you are allowed to have it in your room if you so wish. The safe in the room does not work.

A fabulous hotel. First time visit and hopefully not my last. Will definitely recommend this hotel as a fantastic venue.

Its has good 315 Restaurant which offers a' LA Carter menu and buffets, as well as Terrace cafe, spa and Luxury rooms for sleep and functions.

Excellent service staff was extremely friendly and polite. Managers was very courteous and remained professional at all times. Food was awesome.

The hotel is on a very shady looking neighbourhood. It is clean and the room looked like in the pictures. The service was not that great. They did not give us a sticker to park underground because they forgot. Room service food ordered from the menu was great apart from the waiter forgetting to bring our salads. Food at restaurant is very affordable. The maids did not give us Toiler paper the second night. Like we had no loo paper. If you book at this hotel please do not book breakfast. It had the most horrible breakfast buffet I have ever tasted. The 2nd day I only ate fruit. Its a very affordable place to stay in but for a 4 star I expected better.

From the reservation to check in the staff of the hotel was very helpful and professional. At the hotel the staff was friendly with assistance of taking our luggage to the room. The staff was eager to have the rooms in order for us. My sons have had a pleasant evening and enjoying their sleep. The view is magnificent. The environment is calm and peaceful. Its is a clean and and well equipped room. I must say that this hotel goes far beyond its limits for their guests. Its is my first stay here and will be staying over for the second night. Very quite and secluded place from the city of Durban and beachfront. Has beautiful spa for soothing and relaxing day for couples.

We were unfortunate to spend 3 nights at the hotel. We reserved and paid for 4 rooms with private balconies and instead were placed in rooms next to the laundry. The water was cold and the décor dated. The carpets were stained and the wall paper pealing in the hallways. The parking for hotel guests were full and guests had to compete for the parking with the visitors to the hotel. The staff at the reception were sullen and argumentative. The waiters and barmen are to be commended on their great service and courtesy to the guests. The rating of this establishment should be reviewed.
