Love being in this peaceful atmosphere whilst being in lively busy Johannesburg delightful place to rest and stay a while. Lovely buffet dinner and good breakfast.

The proximity to the airport with less than 15 minutes' drive is both a curse and a blessing — in the usual traffic jam in Johannesburg, it is very important. There are no planes at night, there is peace, but in the morning you hear the planes.
Management and staff very friendly, our family room was above average size, the bathroom also, with separate toilet.
The lodge offers an airport shuttle, which is very practical.
Dinner is buffet — choice and quality are ok.
The garden and the complex are very nice and well maintained.

Lodge a few kilometers from the airport. Free airport-hotel service, punctual and kind. Friendly welcome. Room spacious and comfortable. Breakfast varies. The rooms overlook a garden where you can spend happy hours in the company of a book.

What a great intro to South Africa… amazing staff, wanting you to feel absolutely at home. Stayed here both at the beginning and end of our SA adventure. Felt like coming home, the nite before we flew back to Germany. Alistair gave us great recommendations on how to spend the last day in Jo'burg. Would definitely recommend staying here. Delightful rooms, great food, super staff.

This place is awesome! We loved our stay there. It has this super peaceful garden area that our family really enjoyed. Their food was also really tasty. The proximity to the airport was really convenient for us as a place to stay before our flight the next day. The best part was the staff who was very nice and the management who went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed! Highly recommend.

A very nice place to be, considering its proximity to Oliver Tambo airport popularly known as O Tambo. The Safari club is just two kms from the airport. Very relaxing and has lush green gardens. The staff is more than welcoming and the food is a let me have a bit but you will find yourself having more than a bit. That is the Safari club in South Africa No 68 Pomona Road.

What an absolute wonder atmosphere and superb food. We only met up with friends from Norway. But great experience.

Excellent. Lodge was recently taken over to check latest reviews rather than ones which nay be negative before new management took over. Close to the airport — perhaps a little too close for some. Secure, friendly, lovely gardens, a pool and highly furnished rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Can't fault.

Nice hotel just atthe edge of Johannesburg. Really friendly personal. Picked us up from the airport, because it was already dark and a little hidden around a corner where te navigation won't send you. Nice rooms. We just stayed here fot one night, but we van recommend it to everyone who's in the neighbourhood.

The place was nice, clean and welcoming. Susan, the manager and all the staff, were super! Susan opened up the bar for us after we had had a LONG day of traveling! Would definitely recommend!

Amazing. An oasis next to the airport. Friendly staff and very clean. The new owners have done a great job.

Terrible place! We were picked up from Johannesburg Airport 2 hours late with no apology. Not even a complementary drink to say sorry. Room was very basic akin to a youth hostel. The bathroom was also falling apart! The bath towels were smelly. The restaurant was more like a canteen serving unpalatable food. The pool was like a pond and the lounge was dank and dark. Sadly the owner truly believed the place was the best, boasting that the rooms had been refurbished! This place is fine if you want to slum it and if not don't entertain the thought of staying there!

We stayed here for two nights, one at the beginning of our holidays and one at the end. Breakfast and dinner are moderate, but okay. Swimming pool doesn't look anything like on the pictures (it's more like a pond). Rooms are nice. However, at our last night we arrived at 11 pm. There was no one to be seen (not even a single guard) and the phone wasn't picked up, whereas it was known that we had to arrive that night. Our rooms were already paid for. Two other couples had the same problem. In the end, one guy was able to open a gate from the outside, so that after 1.5 hours we finally found someone who could check us in. Surroundings are not very nice either. Staff told us that public transport isn't safe for tourists, but the hotel's shuttle service to anywhere else but the airport is really overpriced (800 ZAR after negotiation, which is ~€50). Cannot recommend this place.

After a long international flight with our baby we came to this wonderful place! Accommodation is very neat! The Management and general staff where so friendly and attended to all our needs to make us feel comfortable! Loved our site seeing around the city! Will definitely be coming back when we are in South Africa again! Thank you Safari Club! :)

I stayed at Safari club last week for holidays purpose. A nice person came to search me at the airport and brought me to the Hotel. I was happy to see that it was only a few minutes away from the airport and that I could rest after a long trip from France. The persons who work at the Hotal are very helpful and nice. They advised me on a lot of things to do in and around Johannesburg. The swiming Pool is nice and clean and the garden is calm and very pleasant to stay.

We booked on our way to zanzibar. It's was by far best value for money compared to all other hotels at airport. We were very impressed. Well done safariclub.

I had to go on a unexpected business trip to Johannesburg, booked in on short notice and received the best service and hospatality money can buy. The rooms are neat and well-kept and the breakfast is out of the world delicious. Had a good experience at Safari Club SA will defiantly go and stay again.

We make use of this hotel on a weekly basis. They have the best rate and value for money for a 4 star hotel near airport. Included in rate is airport transfers.

Staff cannot arrange anything. All promises and no results, Accommodation good and food good once you can eventually get it — after a few verbal fights that is. Cannot recommend at all.

Nice and comfortable accommodation conveniently close to Johannesburg airport. The free shuttle fetched me and returned me to airport. The Wi Fi worked well. My room was upmarket and had all the important facilities. The food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a nice garden and lots of open space so you don't feel claustrophobic as you might in a conventional hotel room. I enjoyed the lodge style atmosphere and will stay there again on my next visit to Johannesburg, Kempton Park. All in all good value for money.
