Beautiful and peaceful place. Staff and owner amazing. I recommend it!

I booked via booking in advance. 4 days before my arrival I get an email from booking telling me that the owner/manager may not charge on my mastercard. Surprised because other institutions have taken without any worries of large sums of money while we are talking about 60 poor euros, I re-encode all of the info related to my card, including the code lcc, in-app booking and asks him to re-try. I don't know if it was because I no longer received an error message of the Booking, implying that it does not retry the transaction. The owner will say to me, nevertheless, that it does not work and that he needs my number of card as well as the code lcc, wishing that I send these data by e-mail. I answer that for obvious security reasons I cannot forward the data and re-offers (because I had already done a first time) to pay on arrival. Once again there is talk of 60 euros, this is not as if the reservation was worth 1000 and he was afraid that I did not honor the payment. What was not my surprise to see that it was purely and simply cancelled my booking without seeking a finding of adequate solution, and without even warning me that he was going to do it. He sent me an email to tell me after the cancellation. The room having been quickly rebookée I even wonder if he had not had the advantage of undo to resell a couple and win more than with me who travel solo. In short, I find this approach very limited.

The garden is lovely and good service too.

I’ve stayed here five or six times after flying in to Joburg from Australia. It’s relaxed, easy, no fuss, quiet and spacious. After collection from the airport it’s a short ride to the secure accommodation. All doors open onto a gorgeous garden, that’s wonderful for birdwatching with a drink from the honesty bar to recover from a long flight.

It's a quiet place good for a rest.

Its very marvelours place, where you meet all works of life and you feel so refreshed. I loved the place so much that I can be there for life, I gave then five star.

We loved this place. Beautiful grounds, Large room, friendly staff, free pickup and drop off at the airport. Armand helped us greatly. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay. Very clean and safe location. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Only 11 minutes from the airport and they offer a shuttle service. The chef is outstanding and we had delicious breakfast and dinner. Beautiful hotel at a great price.

Poor Service I called but no reply, I sent emails no reply, I spent 2 hours at airport but no sign of shuttle, I then booked at another hotel because no one is answer to call. Badly passed do not make booking again.

Nice view, good service and I would to visit again sometime. Lived here from Sunday and checking out tomorrow. I will miss this place.

Great accommodation opportunity in a quite and comfortable place. Helpful and smiling workers. Close to airport but far from down town.

My husband and I are simply inlove with this place. Tonight as I am writing this comment, im at Avant Garde Lodge overnighting for my flight tomorrow. I been here over 10 times before, and I must say Armand and his staff are amazing. Especially Lebo with her excellent cooking skills… coming back soon.

Home away from home. Cannot count how many times I have stayed here and I am never disappointed. Great accommodation, great food and excellent caring staff. Will not think to stay anywhere else when traveling to JHB for business or pleasure.
