Attended an event there last night. Food was absolutely amazing. My gluten free pescatarian dietary requirements were accommodated and it was absolutely amazing. The buffet dinner had an amazing spread of food.

I had my money stolen in the hotel and only my passport was returned. They turned off the Wi-Fi and nothing seems to work here. South Africa NEVER again. They are not ready to receive tourist. Very risk.

I asked for "turn down" service at 18h30 at reception. Before we went for dinner. At first the receptionist seems surprised… then I politely explained what that was. And she nonchalantly said she would see what she could do. Nevertheless to say was never done. We stayed at Executive Suite. A stunning hotel. But the service and management is poorly lacking. We checked in at 14h00 and our room was only ready at 15h30. Sad to see such a big investment by Sun International and our experience of service was well below par.

Beautiful Hotel the rooms are stunning and brand new. The breakfast was great but supper was horrible. They served really old food. It looked terrible it even tasted horrible. I recommend guests to eat out for supper and not at the hotel. On the pool deck they served me a drink with rotten cucumbers was like drinking poison. You guys need to get some tips from Suncity about food and drinks and they need some tips from you guys about maintenance of you guys stunning rooms. You guys definitely have the best rooms by far you just need to improve on your food and drinks.

Clean, good service, and pleasant grounds. More a business hotel than a holiday place but there is a decent pool to cool off in and a couple of places to eat. The rooms are tidy but the bathroom forms part of the room, so if you're sharing with a colleague it's a bit intimate. The selection at breakfast is good. Nice local Soweto beer at the bar too.

Well located contemporary hotel. Rooms are simple and clean. No electric shaver plug in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable Service is good and friendly. Room service food is quite miserable, not particularily well prepared and uninspired. Breakfast buffet is the usual dull affair of scrambled eggs, meats, and canned fruit selection.

The best Hotel ever to host any event. I had my baby shower on the 30/06/18 hosted by Moniks Mokau. The event was very successful thanks to the best Manager Phetogo Sefanyetso and Thomas (Waiter) they gave us the best service ever. If you want to enjoy your special events go to Maslow Hotel they have the best hospitality ever. The food was amazing and my decor was on point.

A conference was held here. During that time coffee, tea and snacks were served. The food was delicious. Also ate at the restaurant, food was delicious too. Staff were friendly. I thus cannot speak for the rooms since I did not stay here. If the ground floor was indicative of anything the rooms would be clean and modern.

The Rooms are large, breakfast with fruit and cappuccino, there is parking, shuttle to the shopping center, spa, 2 restaurants and pool.

The Maslow in Sandton surpassed all of my expectations. There is no way I will ever stay anywhere else the next time I am in Johannesburg. Superb, friendly, professional people staff this modern, clean facility. The restaurant is easily accessible off the lobby and the food was fantastic. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and kept very neat. Our room was perfectly appointed with everything we needed, including a built in transformer for our electrical items. I was impressed with the simple switches in our room we could push to indicate "do not disturb" as well as when housekeeping was needed. There was also a doorbell outside our room. The staff helped us book a private tour of Johannesberg which we greatly enjoyed. I did not want to leave the Maslow and look forward to our next visit!

Went for a friends 30th. They had booked out the private section of the restaurant. Really beautiful place. Stunning decor and very upmarket. The wine was lovely. However the food left a lot to be desired especially for the price we paid. We had a 3 course set menu. The starter was disappointing. The main and the dessert were actually awful. Flavorless. Bland. And not what they had stated in the description on the menu. We all ate our food as not to disappoint our hosts, but in our private discussions after, nobody was pleased. Luckily we had great company and a really fantastic waiter. I cannot remember his name but he was a star!

This is a lovely hotel however the staff were not very helpful or friendly and willing to assist. After making the reservation I requested an hour early check in at 1pm and was told I should pay for the night prior in order to ensure my request, absolutely ridiculous! My bedding throw had stains on it and my bathroom floor dirty as well. I paid for a junior suite but quickly regretted taking this hotel for my anniversary evening due to all my failed attempts at making it memorable. Being a halaal guest I asked the chef if she fried the eggs separately and she assured me that everything was separated, but witnessed her using the same utensils as she did the ham, hence contaminating the whole station. Extremely dissatisfied with the way everything was handled. Sun International I am a frequent guest member but I will not recommend this hotel to anyone especially not a romantic get away, very disappointing.

Great place to come for a lunch or breakfast. Incredible, relaxing garden with attentive staff. Good breakfast and lunch options. A tad pricey but well worth the visit for a relaxing morning or afternoon.

Stayed there for a night. Lovely and sound-proof rooms. Very cosy and worth the spend. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room service is very efficient and the restaurant serves delicious food. The colour combination scheme in the room I slept in made me calm. Bed is comfy and room is well equipped with all you need. Has a shuttle service operating between the hotel and the Gautrain station. Definitely going to stay there again when I visit Johannesburg.

Wow awesome hotel and great place. We had a quick meeting here and a drink whilst waiting for the traffic to subside and lessen on our way home from the Gautrain and I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed with the hotel. Lots of parking, but busy and with a very vibrant atmosphere and feel. Comfortable waiting and bar area and friendly staff and service, although the drinks were a bit on the high side. Although for a top class hotel, especially in this area I suppose it is not out of line. Jgt.

The Maslow Hotel is a five star hotel from Sun International Group. The hotel offers a wide range of accommodation and leisure facilities for the guests. I have been to Lacuna Bar and some of the auditoriums and its luxury at it's best. The food is tasty and awesome. The facilities are very clean and offers excellent quality of service. Staff is helpful. Thanks.

Maslow is a nice business hotel. Staff is helpful. Rooms are clean and usable. Restaurant serves tasty food. The outdoor pool is fine. They run a shuttle service to Mandela Square. A nice touch is a lounge where you can work and even change clothes after an early arrival if a room is not available yet. One downside: lighting in rooms is dim.

Overall I was pleased with my stay at The Maslow. My room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed having my morning coffee on the balcony. The concierge staff Kasia (not sure of spelling), Paula, security and Bellman were very helpful. They were available to answer all questions. I would stay again.

Modern comfortable hotel, but very long service in the restaurant spoils the whole experience.

We arrived on the 30th to a very unfriendly staff who make you feel like they doing you a favour by giving you your room. At breakfast on the 31st we couldn't find a table for 2 because all the tables were filled with dirty dishes and the staff were on a go-slow. I went back to my room to have tea and realised that my room had been cleaned but the teabags were not replaced. After calling downstairs twice and waiting for almost an hour, finally a small basket was sent up with everything except teabags. I had to leave the hotel and find a place to go have tea at. That night at past 2 in the morning somebody continuously rings the bell at my room which disturbed my sleep. And said they have a flower delivery as we had ordered for somebodies birthday. We had definitely not ordered any flowers and could reception or someone not call first to ask before allowing anyone to come up to their guests rooms and disturb them. In this case what does this say about the security at the hotel? Also the card that u say you need in the lift before pressing which room to go to is all bullsh*t because I pressed the button without my card and it went up to my room (I was alone in the lift so nobody else could have used there card and you use this as an excuse) so how good is your security for your guests? I was terrified to open my door as I thought what if it's not a flower delivery and it's someone else? And besides I did not order any flowers so why wud someone send it?

Arrived at Lacuna Bistro restaurant in The Maslow Hotel yesterday afternoon at 14h30 with five friends to enjoy a much anticipated High Tea… only to be told we don't have a reservation. We were made to wait in the lounge while a table was arranged for us. We eventually got a table but we were in for an afternoon of distracted, slow & ignorant service from mutiple waitrons; food was average in general. We also received one platter of the pastry 'main course' and enquired with the waitress if it's just one platter for six of us, she said she would find out and never came back. We got a 2nd platter after the dessert course, we were done by then. Shocked by the service, lack of attention and disappointment. Thank goodness for great company! Will never visit The Maslow again, nor recommend it. PS. It's not our first High Tea reservation that was below average.

Upon arriving to the Maslow, I was very happy with the accommodations, and for the most part it was a satisfying stay. Much of the trip we weren’t in the hotel to begin with but the sleeping quarters were comfortable. On November 27 I check out of room 262 a little after 11am to head to the airport. While at the airport, I realized I left my money in the hotel safe. So my tour guide sent the driver back to the hotel to retrieve my money. I gave the driver the password so that their wouldn’t be any problem. The hotel first said their was no money in the safe, then said oh was it in a sock. The Maslow hotel decided they wanted to count the money before handing it over. I was so frustrated when they asked me how much was in there I replied I didn’t know. However I did know exactly how much ya currency was in there because I took out 1500 and I only converted 800 of it. Fast forward the driver delivers me the money and I hope on the plane. Once I arrived to my destination. I count my money, and I realize money is missing. I wasn’t sure if the hotel or driver took it. But being that the hotel counted it before giving it to the driver I tried to find out the amount that was counted by them. They only counted 500 bucks so someone in the hotel stole 200 dollars from me. I was with a group and had a roommate. He also realize later on that some of his money was missing. He didn’t have his money in the safe though. So housekeeping must have swiped some of his cash.

A beautiful hotel, fantastic restaurant with well prepared dishes and presented, all this spoiled by a service at the bar of poor quality, bad cocktails, not even in the worst nightclubs a mojito so poorly done, without taste and taste, also the service to Table was bad, rude and rude the waiter, almost annoyed by the presence of 12 hotel customers, to our remonstrance the only thing he was pressing was the tip on the bill. A board, trained professionals at your hotel level.

Very well kept and service at the restaurant is excellent! I say that because the staff were very understanding when I was there for a business breakfast — I wasn’t even a guest that time — but they made my stay very comfortable and were quite happy to have me for breakfast even though I hadn’t booked. I’ve heard similar things from my colleagues, all saying that they’re treated very well even when they’re not staying at the Maslow. The rooms, too, are very good. Stayed very comfortably, and the proximity to all of Sandton’s spots is so convenient for business (and pleasure). The Convention Centre and Nelson Mandela Square are just around the corner. Will absolutely stay at the Maslow again.

Laguna bar great for after work drinks. Service can be a bit slow but the refined atmosphere makes up for it. I far prefer a quieter place where you can have a conversation rather than a noisy, popular place.

Me and my colleague decided to try lacuna as we were staying in the hotel on business. We were warmly greeted by the servers and allowed to pick the table of our liking. The server introduced himself and made sure we knew all the specials as well as suggested perfect wine pairings with the steaks that we ordered. The food came out fast and was delicious and fresh. There's no mistake this place will have me coming back to try all of their other options.

Service can be sub-standard. I was extremely disappointed by the service in general. The hotel is up market and has two bar areas for chilling.

Service at the Hotel restaurant (Lacuna I believe) was appalling. We had a small table (five people) and the restaurant was less than half full, yet we had to place the same orders multiple times before we were served. Getting a glass of water and a cup of tea took over an hour (for those who got it, my tea and water never came). I can't comment on the quality of food as it never came, despite being there for over 2 hours. We left as all the tables around us were complaining about the same thing so we figured it was best to cut our losses. Very disappointing experience.

Great service as expected from this Five Star hotel. The restaurant is excellent. You must try the Wagyu beef steaks. The pool area and bar are an excellent place to relax.

We were attending a wedding and stayed at this lovely hotel. They have excellent rooms and facilities. The service is really great. They have exceeded our expectations. I am in the hotel industry based in Cape Town and are always skeptical about hotels as when you work in them you always see what could have been better. From what we experienced we will definitely recommend this hotel to travelers looking for accommodation in Sandton. It is close to the Gautrain and there is a courtesy transfer to and from the hotel. Well done to the staff and management.
