We had the opportunity to visit and stay at the Grand Hotel Kempinski in December. Our reservation was booked months prior. However 2 days prior to our visit we were notified that our reservation was cancelled. We tried calling to resolve the situation, unfortunately the person dealing with the booking was not available at the moment to help us, at which time we were assured by another hotel personnel that the issue will be resolved the next day and our reservation will be reinstated. When we called the next day to confirm and finally had the chance to speak to the employee in charge we found out that the hotel is unable to reinstate our original reservation and told as that if we were still interested we would be required to make a completely new reservation, which at the time was at a much higher rate than the one we have originally booked months before. Nonetheless we were very displeased with this turn of events, including the very minimal effort on the personnel’s side to help us resolve the issue and a lack of more professional approach.
I only walked past this hotel on a trip. It looked beautiful and expensive.
