Decent hotel in a good location at a fair price for Singapore. Proximity to the subway and airport make it a great choice. Grab rides around town are approx 10 SGD.

They were okay but I didnt like the morning receptionist at 6am. Not helpful at all especially as I entered the wrong hotel. She didn't even bother to read my booking n tell me that I was booked in their other hotel named the golden star! I needed a room for few hours and also she didn't help me accommodate yet on the other hand the golden star hotel was so nice and they were so helpful.

This hotel is ok for stay in singapore and visit the city. The bed is comfortable have a good shower, television with many chanel. But nothing special. The price is for singapore also ok.

Hotel with affordable pricing, good location, but poor hygiene and strong cigar smell in non-smoking floor. Unable to rest well due to noise level, contributed by non-carpeted floor.

A good and decent place to stay. Just need to check on water supplies in bathrooma it's bit of smelly and not so clear.

Comfortable bed and pillow. Not close to city centar. Worst thing is bad sound isolation so you can hear everything from the hallway and everything from the street. However room is bigger than other nearby hotels in that price range.

Great place for family and friends. Accommodating staff. :) Walking distance to bus stops. Near great restos. Our room doesnt smell nice at first. Odor of cigarette. But our room and bed is surprisingly big for its price. Has a very nice 15g aquarium at the lobby (For the fish lovers out there) Overall the place is really great. :)

Nice place, big room, luxury bed, blazing fast Wi-Fi available in both 2.4ghz and 5ghz, the room is surprisingly clean and they even have a fridge in every room. Beware of thieves thou, a weird guy entered my room that day when I forgot to lock my door (the chain lock). Its weird that the guy says that he entered my room wrongly but it's impossible for the door system to recognize his card and unlock for him if he accually entered my room wrongly by accident unless he works here as a cleaner. But if he is cleaner, he need not to pretend that he entered wrongly and can just easily seek my permission to clean the room. There is only two possibility, #1: The person is legit cleaner and was directed to clean a checked out room, he immediataly realized his mistake when he found that someone is still in this room. #2: That person is a theif and he has an illegal copy of the universal key card. As conclusion, do not leave any expensive belongings in your room and remember to lock your room when you are in. **Note: I could not differentiate if that person is a worker of a theif as the workers here do not wear uniforms.

Good hotel foe tourist and price is cheap. Highly recommended.

Very old hotel in Geylang. Reasonably clean but the rooms are smoky. The rates are quite cheap and it has a very high occupancy and turnover rate. That explains why it has its own battery of industrial washing machines and dryers in the parking lot — which also means, limited parking available.

Very old decor, basic amenities and linen that smells of smoke even though it's a non smoking hotel. If you can get past those points and just need basic accommodation while in Singapore then this place will be fine. The only other thing is the constantly on and off low rumbling noises you hear overnight from various machines, but I'm a heavy sleeper.

Value priced. Helpful staff. An older hotel but well worth the money. 10 minute walk to MRT.

Toilet is good. Bed is good. You get what you pay for. Don't expect too much. Oh and Wi-Fi is available.

A hidden gem in singapore. Reminds you of budget hotels in indonesia, thailand etc but better. The anemities needs an update but for the price, cable tv, a good resting place and loads of eateries within walking distance n transportation is good enuf. Parking is limited but who cares. There are Buddhist temples around n that can be noisy but at least you know nothing "bad" exist.

Hotel accommodation is quite reasonable and location is quite, clean and safe. There are lots of restaurant to find and near to bus stop. We find Bright Star hotel ideal for tourist who don't want to spend much money on their hotel accommodation but need a good hotel (unlike backpacker's hostel). One thing we don't like is that some rooms smell cigarette smoke. You have to inform the management before you check in.

Good place to stay in… though in front got the Buddhist praying place (I don't know the proper term) thus the noise… big rooms and spacious toilet/bath. They have hair dryer, toiletries, mini fridge, coffee, TV, air conditioning, vanity table, cabinets for your clothes and they got some drinks at the lobby that you can purchase. And friendly staffs…

No breakfast available. Although complementary coffee and hot water is always provided.

Book suit room for 4 ppl bed so big and price is not expensive stuff clean room everyday really worth money.

Singapore is infamous for the high cost lodging options. Specially if the place think to have an advantage. This place is the opposite. They offer good rooms, clean (bathroom cleaning can be improved), strategic location, transport options (taxi to/from airport 15 SGD), metro station really close, not as other hotels in the area that claims to be closer to metro station and you have to walk more than 20 minutes with your baggage in places that are not walking friendly. Staff was courteous. The only ATM of the area (in my search experience) near by. Singapore friend told me that the food options are really trendy for the locals. We pay 57 USD for a family room. Kids and parents had place to sleep comfortable.
