First visit to Portugal and will definitely come back. Having read some of the reviews we were a little worried but didn't need to be… The room was more than adequate we had an amazing sea view from the balcony and only a 2 minute walk to the main building, bed was really comfy and bathroom a good size. We were AI and the food was good, plenty to eat and a good choice staff in the dining room work tirelessly to clean tables quickly and are very quick to ask what you would like to drink. The pool bar had a good range of snacks, burgers hotdogs and toasties as well as crisps fruit ice cream and yogurts and a great choice of drinks. Staff all very friendly and helpful and nothing is to much bother. The pool was a good size and although a tad cold was refreshing. The location was amazing only a few steps to the beach and a short walk into the old town. The only annoying thing we experienced was other guests complaining about the hills and steps who I'm assuming hadn't read the write up on the hotel before booking as it clearly states it's hilly and not suitable for people with mobility problems overall a great short break and can't wait to return with the kids who I'm sure will love it!

Very outdated, bit of an understatement really as I'd be surprised if this place has had a lick of paint since it opened. Oh and the food isn't great. That said however, the staff are amazing and very friendly. Just a shame that doesn't reflect the place. It dose make a good Base to explore as it seems to be smack in the middle of everything.

Fantastic apartment almost on the beach, great choice of food, not the nicest of bars for the all inclusives more like a canteen. Entertainment was what you would expect but really pleasant staff. The killer was the hill up to reception or the dining area although there was a lift if you care to walk to the pool area if I'd been fitter it wouldn't have mattered. Over all you got what you paid for.

Great hotel right next to the beach with lovely views. The room was very big and clean. The all inclusive food is not bad but could be better. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is a good selection of drinks at the bar. I would definitely like to come back here again.

Great location, hotel very dated, the room was very basic and the staff work hard to keep the rooms clean, we had a great view but that would be the only plus for the hotel. In the whole the staff were great, don't expect 4 star food or entertainment as you definitely won't be getting it! I only gave it two stars as I feel that is all the hotel should be. Look at other alternatives before booking.

The staff was top of that food too, but then it took off rapidly. The rooms were stuck in the 70s, the bathroom was decorated in many places with mold… the beds in the bedroom were OK, but the other beds were horrible. But since we needed 4 pieces because of the kids and a room with door, my wife and I had to sleep on an underground folding bed and an ancient sofa. There were very few sockets, which caused problems in times of many mobile devices. The front door was crooked, which led to many gaps, the rooms were so noisy that you heard everything, whether from outside, or from the neighbors. The swimming pool has been an absolute imposition, as well as the advertised snack bar. In the main restaurant you could eat well if you had to get a seat for the first time. The view from the room was absolutely awesome at sea, unfortunately the table fell apart on the terrace because it was probably just as old as the room. After a day was wiped with us, we had more strange hair on the floor than we had before…

A four star hotel, which could be deserved by the infrastructure of the building and facilities, but nevertheless loses, for the care of these and services provided, have an indoor pool that we found dirty and a jacuzzi that at noon It was dirty and half empty, we discussed it to a maintenance person who was in that area and told us exactly that it was the fault of the English (since almost all the hotel tourism was) they were crazy and emptied and littered everything, answer that does not seem to me not adequate or reasonable, because if you know that because you will have to keep more often, so that all customers can enjoy it, since we all have the same right.
The maid service floor, leaves me with no comments, the first day we did not leave any towel, to see her down the hallway and that the room was already made and had not left any of the I asked for what I answered which is that they had not told him like in a hotel Four stars were not going to have towels, I said no, I insisted and told me in a while, I said I needed them and finally brought me but in bad ways and told me that one was missing, but I had, the second day I did not leave soaps and I did not bring them and the third day I brought no towels or soaps, already tired call reception to get me dressed but after 30 minutes desist, I called back and did not answer me and when I returned after dinner had 1 towel for 2 and soap.

A beautifully located mid-range hotel. The rooms are renovated in different ways, so after arrival and after the first night we want to change rooms and the hotel responded immediately. We then had a beautiful, fairly freshly refurbished room which was even equipped with a heating system in the air conditioning.
The food in the restaurant (we had half board) is very good, the selection varied and rich. Vegetarian dishes are also provided.
The location of the hotel is perfectly located on the beach, with direct access. However, it was to the shopping facilities at least 30 minutes walk.
The staff was above average nice. We can recommend the hotel to guests who are looking for good value for money.

Very good but invaded by the English. Good luck to those who do not speak the language!

Frequented by many Spaniards, especially Seville and adjoining cities. It is an hour from the border of Ayamonte. The food and services are modest but acceptable, with no more pretense. The firm is not spectacular but does not leave you hungry. The apartments in the same line fulfil their function. Very good situation. The price booking in advance and depending on seasons, it goes well.

It is a place very close to the beach. The furniture was a bit old. Very nice staff. Food and drinks, in relation quality price, very good. They have a cocktail menu, national drinks… Buffet-style food with variety. I've repeated the experience. My stay was in autumn/winter. I recommend it.

Gorgeous place. Friendly and helpful staff. Apartments spacious clean with beautiful views. Hotel based few steps away from thw beach. Very child friendly with many activities during school holidays. Food was yummy too. Very big choice of fresh tasty food — even the most fussy eaters will come out of that hotel with full stomach. I cannot praise this hotel enough. It's worth every penny and I recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Albufeira and looking for a great place to stay. I spent my first holiday with my 5year old son in there and we had fantastic time.

I deal very badly with the employees! Very thick food.

The receptionist makes you feel as if you are taking up their time and you know nothing. Even if you simply want to return a hair dryer and there is 8 people lining up to get registered they won't take the hairdryer even though you would think it just takes two seconds to hand it over. The heating in the room did not work. The mechanic came and knew nothing, he then brought an oil radiator. The blinds in the room did not work, the outside light was just outside the window so all night it felt like it is a day time and I could not get a sleep. 5 from 6 days we had to go or dial the reception to ask for towels, they were either removed completely or replaced my one set only. Out double bed was two single beds pushed together and it's kind of a joke to sleep with your partner like that. We had all inclusive. It' s great for drinks, but the food was horrible. If it said squid rings it did not mean it was a squid but could be a fish mince rings in batter. All food was bad quality as if from frozen pre-cooked packaging. The restaurant staff seemed to be very tired from their job and life in general, no smiles. One girl in particular was slamming the drawer, pulling the table cloth the way that all leftovers flew onto my dress and she did not even apologise.

The truth is that I loved it, the staff very friendly, the rooms are somewhat old but the truth that in relation quality price me to similar good. I invite you to Probeis.

The hotel is not worth anything the food is Pepsima not to say null the attention of the waiters are edges and unpleasant the rooms do when Kieren or do not make it directly and the drink better not say anything sorry for the fence or gone there.

For a cheap holiday it was very good. Food was the same everyother day but facility's good overall. Shutter broke in our room and with in an hour it was fixed. Strange layout in the self catering rooms as there was a single bed right next to the front door. Followed by a separating door to the rest of the room/kitchen. So close to the beach and the walk to the old town is worth it.

With a huge balcony, our room had a great view of the sea. Not bad breakfast. But review the quality of hot beverages (especially coffee).

Fabulous location. Accommodation basic but clean. Food good and staff friendly and helpful. Enough choices to make it work for different likes and dislikes. Really enjoyed my week there.

It is the third consecutive year that we spent three days in the all inclusive, each time we have touched a room in different area of the complex and that the reservation we do the same and more or less we liked it though always. One can improve something like mattresses that in some cases because they are noticed in too much the use, the capacity of the tank of the thermos, that if you touch an aparthotel because for more than two people goes right. If you take a room at the resort (the hotel itself) This problem does not exist. Otherwise it is fine, restaurant with diversity of food, although for celiac as is our case is an approved by the hairs, knowing that the bread and the peaks must be carried ahead. The pool bar with snacks, salads, ice creams, yogurts, etc. And a lot of diversity of drinks, also a bar and coffee with evening shows very entertaining and throughout the day there are games and entertainment for young and old. Next year I would go back again definitely because the value for money and services is great.

Great location and service, hotel employees were very thoughtful and kind. All inclusive at an affordable price, service is improving as they changed management, Hotel manager was improving the quality of the service as we talked to him and he's great team. Both indoors and outdoors pool, just 50m from the beach. Close to Albufeira Center walking.

We're here in January. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. What more could you want. The weather is still playing.

Great location but the rooms are disappointing… both because of the lack of what is promised in the presentation, and the carelessness of the fixtures… the furniture. And everything inside the room… really bad because the potential would be there!

Need renovation, very well staffed apartment does not speak French and no effort for the French cold shower or then just a trickle of hot water I will never come back here, the pictures on the internet sell happiness but the reality is well Different. …

Nice view. Old Apparhotel deleted cooking corner. Breakfast and dinner not included We preferred to go to the patisserie snack of the Brisasol.

Wonderful place right on the beach & near the shopping center. The hotel is better than 3 star everything was beautiful for all ages. We went on a trip to Gibraltar for 25euros from the shop just outside the hotel.

Excellent location Large complex. Waiters very very sooo desagradabkes with families and children.

The Wi-Fi was going bad and there was no coverage. Unkind.

They are apartaholes are OK to go on summer beach a few meters away, very repetitive passable food, kindness on the part of all your employees perfect.

Double room rented apartment for 1 night. Value for money unbeatable off season. Direct access to the beaches. Parking in front of the door. Swimming pool, solarium, everything is easily accessible. And it was very clean. We had a good time.
To improve: The staff never says hello.

I had to click on the one star but it's not a one star I would not rate this place. A very sentimental and personal pandora bracelet which was full of beautiful charms got stolen. Told manager they did nothing staff very arrogant and reception staff very arrogant. Other people who we met had very personal stuff stolen. We didn't even have our bed sheets changed within a week. I know this as the sheet already had a mark init. Nothing is near anything pool. Rooms ect. Food is rubbish as well. Nightmare holiday worsted I've ever been on We leave 2/11/17 I can't wait to get out of here!

Food good not to bad entertainment. Right on beach bad point if your a couple to many kids. But if you're a young family perfect.

Horrible structure of the 70 's but partly restored only suitable for the hordes of north that throng and devastate Albufeira.
Positive note the private beach and ease of access to the same.

Needs some TLC. The saddest part was the 'quiet pool' where all the oldest and tired sun loungers ended up. You really wouldn't want to lie on them so the whole area had just two people using that space. We walked away disappointed.

Well I think its just a ok … they charge deposit for every thing example hairdryer, iron, towel for pool, water kettle and the funny thing is that they provide safe (locker) but no key … pay deposit nd pay €3 a day for safe no Wi-Fi in room. In rooms they charge extra a day and deposit also…

3 star hotel but 5 star location. Room good for family of 4, needs a bit of a face lift but has everything you need. Safe could be said of rest of hotel. Location is excellent right next to beach. Food is good, nothing fancy but we have no complaints. All in all I would recommend for a 3 star hotel.

Very poor hotel tired and dated needs a total refurb. Food was very poor, not enough sunbeds, staff extremely rude especially the poolside staff, sheets only changed once in two week stay, no poolside towels available, dinning room is eight floors up in main building lifts not working half time kept breaking down so have to climb eight flight of stairs, no good if you have difficulty walking whole of complex is cobbled stones not wheel chair friendly at all. Drinks at bar were a joke you had to queue a mile long only allowed two drinks at a time bad luck if your in a party of 3 or more, plastic cups no glasses drinks choice was very poor and last but not least the entertainment what can I say words fail me, to sum it up the whole holiday experience was very, very disappointing I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My family had a 7 day break at this complex and although very basic the rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels provided if you left your soiled towels on the bathroom room floor. There has been numerous negative comments regarding the food which I found to be very basic, but for a 3 star hotel, acceptable, what do you really expect! I agree that the food could be improved upon but its perfectly edible although your choices are pretty limited. With respect to the all inclusive label, yes it is, but is quite restricted to the opening/closing times of the main restaurant & you cannot get an early morning coffee unless you visit the restaurant for breakfast as the bar does not open until 11:00AM, which is a real bummer. Basically if you want a cheap place to stay with no frills, you cannot go wrong, do not expect the earth moon & stars & you will be happy with what you get. The beach is circa 100m away involving a short downhill walk with the sunbeds being charged at 10 Euro's per day (for that you get 2 sunbeds & an umbrella). The sea is pretty cold & rough so watch you step as the lifeguards keep a very low profile, plenty of shells etc are strewn over the beach but there was not much in terms of water sports when we visited (Mid May) so young children may well get a little bored I hope this review helps you to make an informed decision on whether to make a booking, for me if I am in need of a budget break, I would book again.

Just came back, we had a lovely time. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Lots of variety of food and tasty. Good value for money, this is a 3 star hotel not a 5 star. People need to be more realistic, we have booked to go back later on in the year. Yes the rooms are basic and tired looking but clean.

Frequented by English confounders of drinking, incivilites, having a very special idea of the holidays. Very little insulation between the rooms, so do not count too much sleep at night. Otherwise the frame is superb.

We were very well as a couple.

The room was fine, a bit no frills who cares only in there to change and sleep. The facilities are very poor tiny indoor pool, out door pool wasn't much better. Fitness centre lol pull the other one, theres x2 bikes, one old treadmill and a really old multigym machine that doesnt work properly. Shocking entertainment, who really wants to listen to alcopolco keyboard music! The bar smells of damp mildew as well. Food in the morning and evening was amazing! I looked forward to every every evening meal. The lunches were a bit of a let down but still nice. Drinks were all in plastic throw away cups, coffee only from vending machines and was poor. Most of the staff were nice and friendly. Location of the hotel is brilliant. 30 seconds walk to the beach. Would I come back, nah prolly not.

Stayed here in January 2015, great food, good location, only one problem we has, wife has walking difficulty, and has to use a wheelchair quite a lot, outside of the Hotel accommodation is down a hill, and I struggled with pushing up this, could not find any other problems, am going again next week, which shows how we liked it. Should really find out if the extra cost is not too expensive.

Easiest way to sum our visit is: would I recommend this to my friends — answer a definite NO! It is 3*** star hotel with quality even lower than some 1* hotels offers. We booked 3 person room but gotten 2 person room with additional touristic bed. When we went to reception we heard "sorry but we have only touristic beds, we don't really have triple rooms" Room had very dim lights and wasn't cleared properly. There was no "welcome pack" and no shower gel or shampoo. Water pressure (especially hot) in tap was very low, we could barely take showers. There is no Wi-Fi in rooms or in common areas, only one place that you can get it is reception. Indoor pool is very small (3x7m Max) and water looks as if it is never changed. Jacuzzi has the same quality of water and same temperature. Gym is only one equipment! (press down) For every day there should be some events for guest but except open bar there was none. The bar area reminded us of a working mans club in the 70's. To be fair hotel is very outdated and the guests there that we saw were not people that I would choose to spend time with and no I'm definitely not a snob. Stayed December 2015, travelled as a 3 people.

Apartments big and spacious, hotel probably used to be a really nice one but nobody care of it properly right now. Location great just beside the nice beach. We took half board option with breakfast and lunch, lot of basic food but same every day so after a week you are getting sick of it. We booked 3 people room for 3 adults and got 2 beds plus 1 touristic bed! That wasn't mentioned in the booking and we wouldn't take it if we knew for 3 people price! We're complaining to the manager but hotel stuff in general does not care about customers at all! Rooms never cleaned properly, only towels changed everyday, sheets every 3 days. No shower gel and shampoo supply?! You get only on the first day. Also entertainment poor. Indoor pool very small 3/7 meters — so only for children, water in jacuzzi same temperature as in the pool. We were there in December 2015

Had lovely week at Monica Isabel in 3 star apartment on All Inclusive basis from 24th November 2015. Apartment could do with refurbish but was clean & had everything necessary for reasonable comfort. Staff were very friendly & good choice of food at all meals — nothing special but tasty & plentiful. Location was great — on lovely beach between Old town & 'The Strip'. Would definitely go back & recommend for anyone looking for value for money budget holiday with realistic expectations.

Hello, first the good deal, normal food, drinks a poko cheap for what you pay you can not ask for another thing, facilities are a little old but normal, if you're in the same hotel that is four stars, you have everything to hand if you're in the hotel you take a poko retired, but good, the beach cercaa the verdas for three nights we have been very good, for the children many games wuifi free, free computer we are going to repeat again but in the summer, and November or December you can enjoy the beach and pool, although heated, but is not the same,, total, to go with your family is really nice, for delicate, do not approach it,,, jaaja, well I hope ke I will be of help!

We've just come back from here which we spent a week here there was me my boyfriend and 2 kids we choose this cause the pictures looked good and it was within our price limit but when you get there its not very good. The restaurant is on the 8th floor which is not stated and Is also very warm in there there's no air con just fans we stopped in the m2 building which ment every time we wanted to eat we had to get 3 lifts and with a 18 month old this is a night mare the lifts are very dangerous not suitable for kids… The staff are great … The drink are not all free we went all inclusive and you had to pay for half the drinks which was disappointing. The pool is horrible to get to with kids you have to walk. Every time we went out we had to walk up he hill or down the hill with kids this is horrible. The food is the same… We eaten out most of the time We went all inclusive yeah we spent most money eating and drinking out. If you've got kids this is not the place to go too with a 18 month old and a 8 year old this is not child friendly at all. The rooms were nice and big and clean but just far away from everything as like I said when you've got kids it's horrible. I wouldn't recommend it too anyone if you want a family holiday…

Nice location. And on the beach, BUT very dated and run down, Restaurant floor was filthy spilled drinks never moped up, food was very basic Air conditioning was appalling. We got shouted at for opening a window. No evening entertainment. Staff miserable. Bedding never changed. Dirty towels hung back up. All-inclusive drinks given in plastic cups. Would never return and would never recommend it. Absolutely diabolical…

Perfect, I had a great time, the treatment great and the food is very rich and varied.

Pretty disappointing all in all. Very dated and basic hotel. Positives; cheap (£150 all inclusive for week in April) good location next to beach and half way between old and new town. Negatives; Food was ok but boring, sun loungers were terrible and falling apart, rooms weren't cleaned very well.

Can not recommended one thing about this so called hotel.

All in all my 11 year old daughter and I had a great week here and was sad to leave a few weeks ago. The location is excellent if you dont need bars shops and restaurants on your doorstep as its a couple of miles down the beach to anything interesting to buy but otherwise views are excellent and the majority of the complex as access to a proper sea view which is why I will be claiming the £75 I paid specifically for one with jet 2 back! we had a lovely view of the car park and could barely see the horizon! so dont put a lot of anticipation into a lovely sea view as we both did well we did pay for one! also wi fi only in reception not in rooms as it says in brochure although the rooms in general are spacious and well equipped. The customer service I found very good. We had air con sorted within a day and I had some medical issues helped along by the nice man on reception (the older man). The bar in general was ok but always seemed to be more efficient and friendly when the older short haired lady or the young guy who never stopped smiling were on. The pool area just has to have an attendant, its basics and wrong to not have someone keeping the kids safe! the food was really nice with ample choice up until I had some fish off the hot hold but stone cold! one of the strangest systems was the pool bar stopped food at 4 and closed abruptly at 5 even though pool open till 7? ALL INCLUSIVE! The same can be asked of main bar closed at 11?.

Rooms never cleaned properly never changed sheets put out dirty towels to be changed and they were hung back on towel rail. Food was not nice we ate out a few times even though we were half board. Nothing to do on an evening even though entertainment was advertised. Overall very disappointing stay we will not be going back there.

Bad and insufficient food. Dirt everywhere. I'm not more and it is certainly not advisable.

Hello, we have been in this. H. Four days at Easter, and for me, is the worst hotel we have trodden in the Portuguese Algarve. At this time only have changed the towels once and because we have protested. The bathroom with dripping water, say it, and no case, pass of the Spaniards as a mi. Cleaning "0" with great food. Tea engannan with the photo you put you in internet, penalty. I will not be that go by this apartment-style hotel that says and puts four star. I was that everyone can not have the same opinion, but it is there for whoever wants it to pick up.

22.10.2012 returned location for Monica Isabel is top notch for beach and only complaint waited 2 hours for rooms and in one direction by a few doors meadows and links on our own, then only bars that try not, unless of course you like sucking a bone chicken PIRI-PIRI and the PIRI-PIRI was hot, with 6 floors and elevators round corners hidden with a local guide would have easy to us in the right direction have, in addition to, and a place in the rain was very good and would return.

Awesome location and superb views. Hotel maintenance wasn't great, and the food and drink was not good at all.

Properly clean is a hotel well located, great near beach, but what makes you forget about the bad restaurant. Dirty glasses and dishes, to demand no reactions of absolutely disinterested staff, too. If you leave out the restaurant and the restaurants in the vicinity or directly in Albufeira (taxi €5) goes to, you can still enjoy a great holiday.

First night entered the room and it had a damp smell. Had a shower and the next thing the whole room filled up with water. Told the staff and left to go out. On returning the room was the same and nobody to do anything about it. Horrible and the next day we left and the staff never even apologized. Nice breakfast, pool and beach. Small damp rooms with "I couldn't care a less staffing". Also near to the strip which might be good but then again the strip is a nightmare! Locals always asking you to buy coke and gear.

Cracked floors of rooms, pitiful bathrooms, little staff, disgusting coca-cola, swimming unlighted. The good, the company that really. Conclusion, no return or even get paid.

Not the rcomiendo, went to know the hotel and the area the know other times i've been, and the algarve in general also it know. But I never could imagine that so depressing there is a hotel and even more open to the public, the experience so negative that we have had, starting because we had to change room as the first us allocated was little more than a second cell to which we pay the difference of course well let's leave it so, but not for a hotel of the category as it sold. the food variety no and not repetitive previous leftovers until is it is always the same and even the last day at chacina had only breakfast and an egg fried, by some scarce, when is depleted could not have breakfast not manned. all included a hoax, since the beverage is intolerable to the human person, however there is another bar where you put another type of beverage and you pay 50% ultimately get the money.

On the ground floor of the apartment block live large cockroaches — in the rooms and in the corridors (number, true to our urgent request, replaced — now have given already on 2 floor)! But the beach littered with thoroughly in the water floating grass and seaweed, t. H. Swim rashotelos immediately, despite the July heat. Besides all the facilities not paid Beach: (okay, that were on the car is passed on at the "wild", and there is plenty of well took a swim in the pure Ocean and atmosphere at some bosyatskaya (compared to other similar Portuguese and Spanish).

If you want to enjoy xmas dont come here food ok rooms only 2star in apartments ok place for cheap holiday nothing else also saff not v friendly only enough hot water for 1 shower no kettle good view good location.
