ARS rooms Hostel

Quite basic but it's a hostel. The location is close to the centre of Krakow.

After the check in paid the lodging fee, but said in the last night to raise the house price, and asked to collect extra money otherwise will in the early morning to drive us away! Fraudulent Old inn.
Reply: The point is that there is no more transactions in the current decision amount of the business but with the previous reservation (has been canceled) to confuse the matter. They increase the price after check-in and charge extra in the last night.
Cheating your costumers!.
Reply The most important thing is this change the "price" after the check-in. Ridiculous!

After we paid, they asked us to pay more money or they would ask us to leave. It's a ridiculous action. And they kept bothering us with the extra money. This is illegal!

Good location. The boss is so kind and nice. Little bit noisy during night because people nornally drink in the common zone of the hostel.

Uncomfortable rooms, noisy and very cold in winter time. No parking places near to the hostel. Shower can be without hot water. As advantage can notice the low price and good location near to the city centre.

The hostel's location is perfect, there was parking space nearby and the staff seemed friendly. However, we were put in a small private room that seemed more like a dorm (because of the 3 bunk beds) even though we booked a private three person bedroom. The beds were terrible, with partly broken slatted frames and reaaaaally thin mattresses. Basically lying on the ground might have been a better option. The kitchen seemed not very well equipped with plates. The bathrooms and toilets were clean. Two stars for the potential, the friendliness and the clean sanitary facilities.

The facilities were nice but I found it quite odd that the place was never full in thr middle of summer. I stayed in an 8 person dorm but I only ever had three other roommates. The place was not social so not ideal for solo travel. The bathrooms were clean though and they replaced the sheets every day.

There was no bathroom or kitchen on our floor so we had to go up two flights into what was a group booking and us see theirs. The lock to our room was the same as on a toilet door, not very secure. The Wi-Fi was poor and we had to move rooms once we had arrived despite booking well In advance and only staying a week. It also says that breakfast is included, but this is not true. They also will not print bus or plane tickets.

Close to nice spots to visit. There are lockers in each room. The kitchen has a microwave. Friendly staff.

Hostel located 10 minutes from the central square. In an unattractive Street, in an old building, the hostel is in fact an apartment on the first
floor, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
The first concern is that the toilets are in the showers… when l. Hostel is full this is a real problem.
A sixth room (8 people) is on the ground floor of the building. This increases the capacity to 38 people.
We see quickly that the website is misleading: there is no such thing as the promised 'Laundry' because you cannot access the washing machine common to the building: it is reserved to the other apartments.
Then the small kitchen area does not Cook: there's a simple microwave. No cooking or Cook plate, I have never seen this in hostel. Also do not rely on glasses or knives. The plates are made of plastic. The two mini sink water… only one!
In the living room a sofa two-seater occupies a wall, a pouf, 10 chairs, 5 stools, a coffee table and a large table for the rest. It is forbidden to move the table or chest (inside the covers out of age).
Also, the bar promised by the site does exist. Problem, it is outside at the Inn since next to the entrance of the building, but mostly it's tiny (two tables) and only serves tea or coffee. Staff changes all the time so to be potentially there 24/24. An excellent thing except when it comes to ask something: no communication between them, smile that depends on the person, investment in free fall.

Charming hotel, but very small rooms, and a bit spooky too.

I've been to many hostels, and I usually loved their staff. But in Ars Hotel and Bar, the owner was so arrogant. Maybe it was the alcohol. Whatever.
