Super chill amazing view on top floor with hammocks. The staff is very friendly and laid back. The private room are perfect. Would definately come back. The place is huge.

Very friendly and helpful family owned hostel for very reasonable price. It is somewhere between hostel and hotel. Super clean, with comfy beds and fresh linen plus nice smelling towels. Big kitchen for those who like cooking for themselves and free tea and coffee. Huuuuuge terrace to admire beautiful view. It is 7 min walk to main street with markets, shops and 20 min to main square. The family is very kind and open to suggestions how they can make your stay even better. The whole place is still very new so if you prefer being away from the hassle of main streets and would like to spend your money knowing it goes to right people, search no more and support this budding hostel :)

Really nice and spacious hotel. The price is a bit higher than the norm but it makes up to it really well; free coffee and tea, TV room, nice view from a chill terrace and not much noise polution compared to other hotels. A good night of sleep and a warm welcoming to expect!

After we spent 2 weeks in the jungle without much comfort we decided to stay in a nice hostel. And this hostel is great. First is really clean, the people who works there are really nice and welcoming, they also speak English really good. The kitchen is really good organized, u can find everything in the right place, and is really clean, also free coffee, Tea, sugar, salt, oil, rice all the basics foods u can find it for free. There is also a spacious terrace where u can find the laundry room (hand wash, free soap), hammock, table and chairs to enjoy. There is also a TV room. There is everything u need! And they also accept volunteers! The only problem we had was with the shower, we paid for a double room with hot water 24h but apparently was broken, so we had to go upstairs which if u pay a private room with a private toilet is not really the best, that's why 4 stars. They also provide free drinkable water :)

Spacious hostel on a quiet street just a twenty minute walk from the city center. The owners are very friendly and attentive, the kitchen has everything you need, and I don't think I've ever gotten a better deal on a private room with an ensuite bathroom anywhere. I would definitely recommend this hostel if you're staying in Tarapoto.

I enjoy my stay at El Mural Hostel. The staff was great, very kind and attentixe. All rooms have a private bathroom, breakfast is included, my bed was very comfy, the hostel has free Wi-Fi, TV room and kitchen to share with other guests. It is only 10 minutes away from the city centre. I'd recommend to stay at El Mural if you are visiting Tarapoto.
