A beautiful place excellent fusion between nature and architecture, spacious house very comfortable, well equipped and beautiful leisure areas, very complete and modern.

AVOID A RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED SERVICED APARTMENT (NOT A BEACH RESORT) WITH VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & INFRASTRUCTURE
1) Real Estate development instead of hotel resort: Isla Colon Office is totally focused on selling real estate — we were shocked at arrival when we realised that is not made to walk but rather to take a shuttle/golf car
2) Serviced Apartment instead of a room: it can be quite spacious but it is not cosy at all and is equipped with the very very basic (e. G. Uncomfortable mattress/pillow, no hairdryer)
3) Bad Customer Service: 1st day: we arrived at 3:30pm and were taken to the villa where we had to wait outside until almost 4pm for it to be ready (check-in time: 3pm) ; 2nd day: we left it at 8:30am with the sign outside 'please clean the room outside'. We were back at 3:30pm and nothing had happened so we had to call reception and ask for it. 3rd day: we arrived in the afternoon and this time the room had been cleaned but no fresh towels had been left there. Again, I had to call reception and wait over 30 minutes for fresh towels
4) Poorly maintained private beach: To be honest La Rosa should be called a swimming pool club not a beach club. When we arrive at the beach we can only find a dozen chairs (quite old — most of them with curved shaped; some of them we could not even regulate the back height) and no sun umbrellas. I could not spot a lifeguard but rather a very old red flag, probably never changed regardless of sea conditions.

The beach is amazing and Nachyo Mama's food is great. Drinks are good and it's a totally tropical state of mind.

Overall we were very happy with our stay. A couple of suggestions for the ownership… 1. If you aren't cleaning private pools every day leave a pool net for guests to use. While a pool light is much needed for night swimming it attracts bugs and having to wait for someone to come at some point to clean wasn't what we wanted to do (lost too much pool time because of this). 2. Restaurants should clearly post when they won't be open. LaRosa was hit or miss the entire 9 days we were here and the service left a lot to be desired each time we were there (food was great though). The Point had good food, but limited menu, but Sergio was the best bartender, waiter and all around guy that did whatever was needed (loved him). Villas are very nice and reasonably priced. Would definitely come back.

If there was a tag for great beach or exotic locale, I’d be using those. This is a beautiful place balancing condos and villas between the jungle and the ocean. Private. Quiet. Romantic.

Is spectacular the location the attention of all people great to a place that you go and you can't forget SPECTACULAR.

Great place to relax. Lots of activities to try. Fish & chips at Palmar are amazing as is the ceviche at Nachyo Mama's. For a nice dinner, the Beach Club is hard to beat.

Great backpacker place. Many prime locations. Safe, fun and very organized.
Ideal if you have college kids traveling.

Our stay at Red Frog was truly amazing. We were greeted warmly and shown our villa by Enrique, he answered all our questions and helped us plan our stay. The Villa is wonderful, it's large, upscale, clean, and relaxing. You will have everything you need, even down to clothes detergent. We tried both restaurants and enjoyed both very much. The service was really good. La Rosa has wonderful salads and fresh seafood tacos. You can sit and look out at the waves and enjoy a delicious lunch. We also tried The Point twice and it was really good, great variety of pizzas and salads. All of these great things aside, I did have a medical emergency on the resort. It was totally my fault for not wearing proper shoes and I fell and cut my knee pretty bad. Anyway, the staff at the resort helped me beyond measure. They safely and quickly transported me to the clinic in Bocas and then, when I returned, they did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable and safe and healthy. Juan made an appointment for me in the City for follow up care, Enrique, Santiago, Joel and Juan and others, all did everything in their power to help me. They gave me crutches to use and made sure I could get around and still enjoy my vacation. I must give a very special thank you to David (Deibi), the resort paramedic, he helped keep my lacerations clean and gave me bandages and cream ointment to make sure I didn't scar or get an infection.

First I would like to start off by saying I have been trying non stop to contact anyone and everyone I can at red frog beach. The customer service and booking individuals are severely lacking in customer service overall and communication. It should not take this long to contact potential customers and it certainly shouldn’t take two weeks to get basic information.
Because of the lack of customer service and communication my family and I missed out on the dates and accommodations we were quoted for weeks ago. I am highly unsatisfied and quite annoyed at the lack of customer service and communication.
I cannot believe that a resort of this caliber is handled by incompetent people in the booking department and if my family and I do decide to still go to this resort I sure do hope the customer service is better.

After staying several places on the island, I found this to be the best option. Very clean, great service, and although not "amazing", it certainly was the best food I've had out here on the islands. I enjoyed having a kitchen and the option to cook as well. I will definitely be coming back here.

My wife and I went to Red Frog Beach last summer and it was an absolute blast! It was the perfect romantic getaway and so beautiful! Thanks to the friendly staff we were able to tour the island like locals, we had so much fun exploring the island with their kayak rentals, and their zip-line tour is seriously amazing–imagine zipping through the jungle surrounded by monkeys, tropical birds, and sloths, amazing right! We will definitely be returning to Red Frog and their white sandy beaches again!

PARADISE ON EARTH! I have stayed here 3 times and already have a 4th trip planned. This place is honestly unreal! The villas and the resort are incredibly nice and luxurious! The beaches are beautiful, the water is beautiful, the staff is polite, helpful and knowledgeable, the food is delicious. I've been to 42 countries all over the world and can honestly say Red Frog Beach is at the top of my list!

We went to this resort for lunch today and it was the most terrible and honorific experience we ever had in the whole of Bocas region. First of all you have to pay $ 5 per person to get into the resort. So basically they let you pay to go and have lunch. At the reception where they all did not seem to care a lot they told us that we could either eat in the cantina or at selinas or we could choose a restaurant at the beach but if we wanted to eat some better quality food we had to pay another $ 20 per person … so more money just to have lunch. They told us that the beach restaurant was about 5 to 7 minutes walk. We walked for more than 25 minutes on a steep uphill muddy and slippery path and with the absence of signage we walked passed the restaurant. When we finally got to the restaurant, all sweaty and muddy we were told in a very rude and unprofessional way that they were closed. After a 20 minute walk back to reception we just took a watertaxi to get out of there as fast as we could. So basically we paid $ 10 to see a closed restaurant. If there was a "0" rating we would have given it. A good advice … save $ 5 and go and have a nice cocktail in one of the superb restaurants or bars in Bocas town. There you will be treated like a guest.

On our family vacation, my 48-year-old mom fell on their poolside stairs tearing multiple ligaments in her back. The tile used would never pass inspection in Europe or the United States. There are no handrails or no non-skid to prevent falls. My mom was airlifted off the island by the Panamanian military all the way to Panama City hospital. The resort didn't respond to any emails for a month! During that time, we learned that multiple people have been hurt in similar accidents at Red Frog Resort. They unsuccessfully tried to repair it the day after Mom fell, but they didn't prep the floor correctly and haven’t tried again since. They clearly have no priority for safety in their villas or restaurants all of which have this particular tile. Despite a lengthy recovery we are blessed Mom can walk.
Red Frog is bad news and all the beaches have been destroyed by the 12/2017 storm. All pics on their site are prior to storm!
5/9/18 Update: since I can’t reply back to your comment below, again you unsuccessfully tried to repair it using the safe grip, but you didn't prep the floor correctly so it all came off.

This place is beautiful — from the private pool to the beachfront (some villas don't have direct beach access) to the amazing beaches. The roads in the resort are mostly gravel and unless you have your own golf cart, expect to either walk or call for pickup and drop off (free service). This pickup/dropoff service ends around 10pm so if you're out later than that, be sure to make prior arrangements with someone else or expect to be walking in pitch black. This place also has ziplining on the actual island. It was a great experience and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation outside of reality.

This resort is truly wonderful. I love the beach and the jungle. Yes, there have been a few times I wasn't impressed with the food, but they've addressed it. I've eaten there many times and had great meals (and drinks! )

We ordered an hamburger form the menu, it was awful… The meat was so overcooked that I bent my fork trying to cut it! It was not fresh I am pretty sure that the meat had been previously cooked and they just heated it for me… The staff was not unfriendly but rather slow and they just didn't care for the custumer…

When you want to get away from the downtown grunge this is the place to be secluded at. Robinson Crusoe where you at? Lovely beach for sure…

Stayed here on my honeymoon, and it was truly amazing! Gorgeous views, tons to do. However, the best part of the whole thing was the treetop canopy tour. Simply put, it was so much fun. Can't wait to go back!

Unforgettable vacation at Red Frog Beach, is a wonderful hotel with beautiful homes and they have the best beach that I have seen in Bocas. A good quality of service and a lot of vegetation. I wish I had set known of this place before. I recommend it 100%.

I did not stay here but did go ziplining and it was amazing! My boyfriend and I both loved it and we even saw a few sloths:) the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful throughout the whole thing. Thanks for the best time red frog!
