The whole staff is beyond amazing! My car had some issues and the staff pulled resources and helped when it was nothing that had to do with the hotel! Every person there smiles and it is obvious that they are not only proud of where they work they actually love their employment. I would say if you ever thought about seeing Laguna De Opoyo you need to make a reservation here!

I loved seeing their children's area, more tables and places near the lagoon. Although I have had no complaints about the food today if I did not enjoy much what I ordered, it was a little insipid my burger. Excellent roulette initiative! Xq always wins. As always… 'll.

Absolutely beautiful, all the people staying there were extremely friendly as were the staff! Fun, relaxing Paradiso is a great place to escape reality and chill. The food is great and there is a little shack across the street to the left with the most amazing jalapeno chicken for about $2 (US). Worth a check out.

3 — Disque the table was far away (are your tables is the responsibility)
4 — when I see on one of the occasions on the attention, gave a poor response

please gentlemen all need their jobs, but by my not had a failure for the new people who take them. We have always gone here instead of another hotel.

The place is nice, nice, what I did not like was q let the street vendors enter the premises and one has to be an eye to the Christ of their belongings, the day I was ivique that even allow them to q sit in the dining area, bar, pochomil type, I hadn't seen that in any other resort of the Laguna there is insecurity because one at the end does not enjoy going to bathe by not leaving things in the chairs.

Excellent place to detach and relax during your travels. Near the Laguna de Apoyo nature reserve and Colonial Granada. Also good place to stay before flying home, 45 mins to Sandino Airport. Attentive staff.

We had a day pass with pick up and drop off in Granada, for 14 USD per person. You can have free coffee and tea. There are lots of sun chairs available and table-tennis, Billard and Boule. Kajaks are free too. The food is tasty and not too expansive (burger 7 USD, fajitas with chicken 6.50 USD). The showers and toilets were clean. Staff was friendly but because of low season there was not everything available to eat (normally the serve pizza at weekends and there is a cake of the day — both were not available today)

Nice place, friendly staff. Very nice food (really try the chicken curry). Slightly expensive for Nicaragua. Shared showers were a bit far away in my opinion. The room was warm and stuffy, not the greatest to sleep in. Wi-Fi was very bad. Had loads of fun with the kayaks and tubes.

One of my favorite places to visit in the Apoyo lagoon. I'm usually a day-tripper and I find the day pass cost reasonable (7 USD, April 2018. This includes access to the beach, lifevests and kayaks) There is more than one ambient, so this place can truly fit all ages. The area close to the water is nice, the tables are surrounded by some good plants, staff very friendly and the menu is fine. Definetly If I had to say something I would recommend adding local craft beers to the drinks menu.

I stayed in a dorm room, it was not very clean there were dead bugs on the lockers. It was so hot at night it was nearly impossible to sleep. There was only one standing fan and two mounted to the ceilings (one did not move) The property is beautiful but the price for the dorm bed I felt was high considering the state of the room. None of the bedside lamps worked in my room, and there was only access to one shower/full bathroom that was shared with the "day trippers", and whomever else so always had to wait to use it. Also make sure to keep track of your tab, I was warned by friends and found items mistakenly on my tab. Everything is quiet pricy here but the food is delicious and the staff were lovely. Not very informative but I managed to figure stuff out on my own.

Really nice place to stay on Laguna de Apoyo. Kayaks and tubes ready for use in the super warm water. Get out early to get a chair on the beach though. The tours from Granada really fill up the place. The volleyball court is made of gravel. Would suggest wearing shoes if you really want to play. Staff were nice and food was really great. It says there is a kitchen on the description online but that means a restaurant… Not a kitchen that you can use.

Very good place, need more care, repair the pool table along with the tacos and that but in general is OK.

I absolutely love this place. I have been wandering across the Americas for over a year now and may consider this one of, if not my favorite hostel. Simply put, it has something for everyone so that all ages and interests can have fun. In 3 visits totaling almost 3 weeks of time there, I have never met anyone who has wanted to shorten their visit, whereas many expect to leave and end up changing their minds :)

Possibly the worst service I've experienced. It's a shame, because the food is nice and well priced and the menu is big and interesting. There is a particular server working that imo should have been fired a long time ago. He ignores customers while stocking the cups, you have to go order at the desk without any explanation, the desk is also unfriendly. Brought one of our items out and shouted out at everyone to figure out who's dish it was, then asked which pizza we had ordered, dropped the pasta on the table, gave us one set of cutlery, of which I got up to get the other. 45 minutes later, cold, empty plate on the table, no sign of the server, no pizza, the table next to us has received two pizzas since, and they arrived after us. Likely they've forgotten for a second time. Waiter is also smug and completely complacent. A formal complaint will be made. This is our 4th time eating here in several months, 3rd time with him as server, earlier today we had a lovely man who was very competent, and had a high standard of service. Maddening.

It's like getting to your friends ' house. Very relaxed and friendly service. The kitchen is fast and we love that there are some vegetarian options! Not to mention that it is always a chance to have intercultural contacts by international tourists who never miss.

Definitely one of my favourite places in Nicaragua. Nice people, good food, free canoes and table tennis, free internet. The view over the lake and the atmosphere are awesome. I remember that I slept one night outside in a hammock because it was warm enough and, why not? I watched the stars while listening to a group of howler monkeys traversing the trees on the lagoon's shore. Such a great memory!

Excellent hostel to stay or spend the day in the Laguna de Apoyo de Masaya. Very good food. You can use the kayaks and swim in the lagoon. Preferred. Excellent care and treatment.

Greatvplace for a day or longer. Stayed for one night — great atmosphere! The first night hostel volunteers organize a get together for new joiners and you get to know more people and their stories, adventured and experiences. Beautiful view over the laguna — very worth visiting!

A true resort in the Laguna de Apoyo. Prices for private rooms are not cheap but good for all services and things available in the hostel. Food is amazing, and view is perfect! Take one day and you will be fine. Recommended.

It really is a paradise. Cute and small with a great atmosphere. I got to now new people from different countries. We payed $7 to stay there the entire day and use their kayaks, paddle boards etc. Wifi, coffee and tea for free. They offer really good food and smoothies.

A perfect service, a ball field certe a little earthy but the pleasure of making a go to Nicaragua makes all the difference!

Amazing atmosphere, very chill! The views are incredible and you can take kayaks and tubes for free. Also you can take a massage that's not expensive.

My second favorite place in Nicaragua AFTER my home. I'm 90% digital and 10% nomad so for me the presence of decent working Wi-Fi and free coffee allows me to fulfil my professional responsibilities while the lake, bar, restaurant and diverse guests satisfy all my personal needs. I highly recommend a minimum of TWO nights. Also the quality of the food and service FAR exceeds the price! Don't hesitate. It is the best place in Laguna de Apoyo — I have been to the Monkey Hut (there is a kitchen there if you want to cook) and Laguna Beach Club (which is OK if everywhere else is full)

Quiet and peaceful when we went, with first come first serve inner tubes and kayaks. Water is cool but not cold, good on hot days. Food is tasty and well priced.

The lake is really the star of the show here, but visiting the resort is a nice way to access it. We came as day visitors so I can't comment on the accommodation, but the staff were nice, drinks reasonably priced (which we weren't expecting) and the place seemed clean and tidy. Not too sure what the food is like, they had an extensive menu which all sounded nice and varied. The lake is beautiful, really clean and from the resort you can see the resort next door but the rest of the surroundings are lush green and unspoilt.

Great view, acceptable food, the service should improve a little bit but is acceptable. They have kayaks, paddle board. Try the cocktails, pizzas and crêpes. It's a place with good vibes specially for travelers.

Amazing place! No other words. The food is great, best I've had during my trip in Nicaragua. Free kayaks are availible at the beach of the hostel and shuttles to Granada are cheap. Perfect for two or three days.

Great staff, great location, great service, great food. We came for one night and stayed for 3 :) The location is perfect — the peace and bliss of seeing the crater lake from everywhere. The free use of the kayak and the floating tires to just have a relaxed 'swim' in the lagoon. The staff was very friendly, both at reception and in the social areas/restaurants. Even the cleaning staff and gardeners have a smile for you as you pass by. … The owners as well are very kind and you can tell that the good vibe around the whole hostel is because all the workers feel appreciated and have a personal relationship with the family. The reciprocal respect is palpable. I've been to other places where unfortunately all the work, or most of it was done by travelling volunteers, which is not a bad thing, but when it means that this saves workforce money to the owners and takes away the work from the village, then I don't think it's fair. Paradiso respects the villagers, village life, their employees are all local and treated well. In my humble opinion, a great example of intercultural collaboration. Highly recommended.

If you're thinking of getting a nice meal around Lago Apoyo… This is really the best option to consider. There is an incredibly diverse selection of food (Local, Italian, American, Asian) and out of the two things we ordered, both were PERFECT! I didn't actually stay in the Hostal but from what I saw on the outside, it looked very well kept. Staff are also very accommodating and friendly.

We're always going to spend the day. The food is excellent. I recommend it!

My wife and I stayed here in January. It came recommended by a friend. We were very happy with our stay. If you are heading to the Granada/Apoyo area consider staying here rather than on the city itself. You can get an inexpensive taxi to Granada, Masaya, or other locations nearby. The hotel staff will set it up for you. Many of the staff speak English well, communication was not a problem. They are very responsive by email for bookings. All together we loved the place. The only negative I can think of is there was a good amount of noise at night. It is a hostel so do not expect peace and quiet. Great place! Stay there!

Excellent place to crash and hang out! We got a double room and stayed for 4 nights. Very reasonably priced. Staff is excellent, especially with the language barrier, neither us are Spanish speakers. There are many options for day trips; Masaya Volcan, Granada, Mirador de Catarina. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. The crowd can be a little loud at night. Also birds and the howler monkeys!
