Kea Apartments

My experience with kea apartments has been awful. My partner and I booked online and 10 mind later we arrived. The outside is in a sorry state but we still gave kea apartment's benefit of the doubt. We were given our key and shown to our room. It was a cold day in Nelson and for a 4 star hotel there weren't much luxuries, like carpet, unit may be suitable as like a summer bach. We were cold and tired and just wanted to relax and this cold wooden uncomfortable unit was not worth our money, so after a 5 minute discussion with my partner we decided to cancel our booking. Whilst driving back to the office we noticed many empty units. We handed keys back into office and left to stay at a comfy warm, heat pumped unit for $1 extra per night than kea apartment's. Before we even reached our new hotel kea apartment's had charged my a full 2 nights booking as we didn't cancel within 58 hours, the whole process from booking to walking out of motel took 15mins. I think it's so rude. We ended up convincin kea apar's to give us one night back but we are yet to see that money. I think it's very rude to charge one night when we didn't even have key for 5 min's, and we as customer are always right. We have a right to cancel. Will not be recommendin to our family when they visit as we are locals. Very disappointed.

Apartment was exactly what we were looking for, clean and tidy, updated and at a good price. Would definitely stay here again! Also very dog friendly and a super short walk to the beach and Dog beach!

They just done renovations since last time we have been there and it looks amazing. They also allow dogs what is great.

Basic apartments that have been started to be done up. Clean, tidy, quiet and friendly staff. Perfect location being a block from the beach and handy to shops etc.

Just renovated the insides and looks great! Front desk gentleman was so nice and friendly! Free unlimited Wi-Fi too!

I'd recommend this place. Nice modern interior, very clean, comfy bed. Good night sleep. Comfy sofa for relaxing. Plenty of clean towels and nice fresh bed linen. Parking right outside the door makes it a easy arrival. Some good restaurants just a few minutes walk away. Would stay here again.

Did not have the best experience. Found a long black hair IN my bed… my hair is blonde… ants crawling all threw my bed and all over the kitchen. Cleaners didn’t do a good job as there was so much built up dust everywhere. Looked for an email address so I could email the owners privately but unfortunately could not find one. I will not be staying again.

Looks of the place does no justice to the room. Have recommended the place to others. Would stay there again.

Really enjoyed my stay here! Rooms have modern styling and very spacious with full kitchen facilities. Room was clean and tidy. Accommodation was well located. It was walking distance to takeaways, cafes & pubs and a nice dog friendly beach. About 5 minutes drive to the airport and 10 minutes to CBD nelson Service was great and staff were very friendly!

Great place to stay when visiting Nelson! Only a few min from the airport, shuttle available and top not service. Newly renovated rooms for a great price!

Fantastic place to stay, really lovely apartment with a sweet little back area to hang out! Close to the airport, shops, gas station and eateries. Highly recommended with friendly service :)

Wow, this place really takes the cake for a budget 'Mutton dressed as lamb' motel. Here's the 10 best, worst things about this place: 1. On arrival, the people next door appear to be permanent residents and have dogs who barked up a storm… EVERYTIME I went near my door. 2. Although it's had a lick of paint and some fancy wallpaper, it looks like a council type flat. It's old, it's cold, it's concrete. Kind of place lonley old people go to die… 3. In the bathroom, the toilet seat is loose as anything (really unstable), and the toilet brush has a collection of other peoples fecal matter on it. 4. There is a hole in the wall where I assume the towel rail should be… No where to put the towels. 5. The showers a joke… I could urinate more liquid per minute than that thing can pump out. 6. It's not clean, other people's hair in the shower, greasy hand marks on the mirror. Yuk! 7. Nothing's been thought out. You'll be asking yourself, who designed this place?! 8. Skilled Parker? You better be… I have a work Ute and it appears a free for all of parking wherever you want. The parking lines mean nothing to these people, good luck, you'll need it! 9. Enjoy hearing your neighbor breath, move, or the dogs scratch at their fleas? Despite the concrete walls, you'll hear every sneeze and cough. 10. Here's the kicker guys… The Queen bed is two singles tied together with Queen sheets! If you value your life, which if you do, you won't be booking here after reading this review.

Excellent presentation but let down by sub standard amenities. Water pressure was too low for a decent shower.

Love this place, excellent service, goes beyond for you. Very clean, warm, love the designs/decor. Management is really welcoming and friendly. Best apartments I've come across :) 100/100
