Clean spacious units with great cooking facilities. Close to airport. Convenience of very close quality take out or pub dining. Friendly office staff.

My daughter and me stayed here recently and when the room wasn't up to standard the manager put us in an upgraded room for no extra charge. The room was bigger, had better water pressure on the shower and the Wi-Fi worked plus there was a stove top to make breakfast and cook dinner on. Very good service and affordable. :)

It was such a nice stay at northcote lodge. Really good time we had over there and I will definitely come back whenever I come at christchurch again.

Very comfortable and warm unit. Host was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Handy for short runs to the shop. Family oriented, rooms are well looked after. Service provider friendly and helpful.

Arrived Friday at midnight from Brisbane we were very happy that the Motor lodge was only a short distance from the airport Our room was fabulous so clean and spacious with the most comfortable of beds. Gary and Donna were excellent hosts and were very accommodating. Great cafe and tavern Within walking distance. Would highly recommend a stay here. We will be back. Thank you Donna and Gary.

Can't wait to get back to Ch-Ch and my first place to call for a vacancy will be the Northcote motor inn. Rooms were clean and serviced daily beds were comfortable and warm and was very reasonable in price. Look forward to seeing you both next year.

Can't wait to return. Well maintained, inviting complex with super comfy beds. Hosts go above and beyond to ensure guest comfort. Walking distance to amenities such as hotel, coffee shop, groceries and easy access to city. Will look no further next time we're in Christchurch. Thank you Donna and Gary.

Nice accommodation near the airport. It has got spacious rooms all nicely done. The staff is accommodative even in non office hours. Reasonably priced for its location on the highway!

Large clean rooms. Easy to spot even at 1 am. The owners were nice enough to leave milk in fridge for tea as we arrived late due to delayed flight. Almost all things available be it toiletries or cooking equipment.

Petrol station next-door positive but also negative gas bottle filling station noise in day and air conditioner at night not the quietest but lovely clean unit.

It is a nice lodge with nice room, but the Wi-Fi isn't great.

I stayed in Room 21 and there was a very strong cigarette odour as soon as you walk in. There was a small UV air purifier on full blast in the room but it did very little to alleviate the smell. It was so pungent that our clothes (all the ones we were wearing plus the ones in the luggage) also stank the next day. Don't know about the other rooms but based on my experience, I would not come back.

A lovely stay in the hotel… spoiled by the hotel owner. Any hotel or business must listen to constructive and polite customer feed back and at least respond to the feedback in a polite and professional manner. So I was shocked by the behaviour of the hotel owner, Mike, after my Wife sent a polite and constructive email to him. To explain, after we returned from a long drive to and from Kiakoura in New Zealand, we returned to our room found that our bed had not been made and the room had not been tidied and toiletries not replenished. This is the very basic expectation any customer has staying in a hotel. I received a scolding from the hotel owner Mike, for giving the feedback in email form. Furthermore Both the hotel owner Mike and his Wife Elsa came to my room. Elsa tried twice to speak to me and both times Mike rebuffed his Wife and said he would deal with this… I felt for Elsa as she was very nice and was clearly concerned about customer feedback. I was also shocked to here Mike say that he was very approachable… he is anything but. Mike gave me a lecture (I) that the room rate that we were paying did not leave him “much skin in the game” as he put it. (Ii) Additionally, I believe the Mike got angry because his Wife upgraded us to a better room without additional cost. And To be clear we never asked for the room upgrade. I never want to speak to Mike again after this incident and we left the hotel on completion of our 3 night stay without doing so.

It's a nice place comfy beds and staff were real friendly and helpful.

Amazing place — huge space fully equipped kitchen and toilet. Spacious living area with sofa and dining area. A short distance from central but a worthy payoff. Clean and comfortable.

Great Location it's next door to a petrol station and just down the road to Northlands shopping mall. It's about a 25 minute drive to the airport. The rooms are warm and clean the price is good for a studio unit which is spacious.

Very friendly hosts and staff. Felt very welcome. Units spotless and very comfortable. Very well maintained. Would come back and stay. Highly recommended.

Convenient for the airport and the city centre. Quiet for peaceful resting time after an exciting holiday. Comfy bed. No power point in the bathroom for the supplied hairdryer, but… there's a long extension cord which fits in at the kitchen! Thought of everything!

Stayed with these lovely people not long after they took over the business. Very helpful and friendly. I spent 10 nights total and stayed in 3 different rooms all of which were very clean and comfortable and very well presented all of which for a very affordable rate. Will definitely be staying there again in the future.

Great place to stay! After our travelling we enjoyed this luxury! Lovely staff and modern and new room.
