Richard and Anne are the perfect hosts in this environmentally conscious lovely motel. We will be back to stay longer. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

From great communication at booking time, ease of check in (even when we were held up and arrived late) to well presented room and superbly comfy beds, one couldn’t be happier with the professional service we were blessed with at tussock peak.

Staying in here currently. Wanted to try a new place instead of our usual. Bad decision. Rooms nothing like in the pictures alot smaller than we though. Spa bath is not a spa its a tiny shub more suited for 5 year olds. Rooms are cold. Asked for a top up of milk as we are here for 3 days 2 night and was told no we dont do that so that was dissapointing. Its ok but price wise id rather stay at our usual place. Plus side beds are extreamly comfy and we are close to everything.

We really believe your suggestion, but this time we feel very sorry, because the motel unprofessional and disappointing that I believe your recommendation, the owner they think we dinner at nine o 'clock and drinking just disturb their guests, we can't understand, in normal dinner time we drink and chatting should not be complaints, and as the owner of a motel at nine o 'clock warned we disturbed they are guests, just can't stand,

Thank you Richard for saving our family trip up from being a disaster. Due to a wee hiccup our family needed to be split up into different hotels and Richard went above and beyond to make sure we were all accommodated for. We were well looked well before we arrived in Hanmer. If you ever need anywhere to stay the Tussock Peak Lodge is in a great location, offers great customer service and great rooms. Highly recommended! We also featured on the page in our Village Limo. Thanks again Richard :)

A fantastic motorlodge. Great location. The rooms are newly renovated and really clean. It's walking distance to the hot springs.

Contact rooms but clean, updated and very well equipped. Management is very friendly and location is very convenient.

Came from Christchurch stayed overnight on 6/01/2018 for 2 adults one child. Reception very lovely and friendly when arriving to checking in. Nice to offer use of towels for swimming Purposes. The room very nice and clean. Good facilities provided in our room microwave tea and coffee basic bathroom nessecities. Everything neat tidy and homely Close to the pools is great. Laundry service. Very happy with our stay. Allowed us for late check out aswell felt very looked after We will return. Monique and Josh from Christchurch.

Comfortable and roomy for 2 people. Balconies pretty useless though, too small.

Well laid out, good furnishings, main beds good. Our room was pretty quiet but suspect not many other guests that night. Kitchenette a bit limited and sofa bed mattress too thin. Faulty fuse meant we didn't feel safe using wall heater but alternative provided. Shower head too loose so had to get water level just right but otherwise water pressure excellent and plenty of hot water. Friendly staff. Loved being able to use their towels for the hot pools plus excellent location for pools and restaurants. Sky, Netflix, free Wi-Fi good options when weather rubbish!

Had a wonderful stay here for the weekend. Considerate, friendly and incredibly kind staff. Can tell they genuinely care about your stay and go the extra mile — allowed us a late checkout due to circumstances. The room itself was spacious, very quiet and aesthetically pleasing. The TV had netflix set up that was very easy to use. Bathroom was very clean, white tiles with a huge shower bath. Had an amazing sleep — comfy bed, nice sheets, good ventilation and so on. The room had a gorgeous patio overlooking the street and hospital memorial grounds/garden, where we enjoyed dinner that night and coffee in the morning. Close to pools and shops (right next door! ) meaning we spent our time walking round, rather than driving which was very pleasant. Very stress free environment, clean, open spaced and fresh feeling. We absoloutely loved our time here and will most definitely be returning!

Perfect lodge right outside the thermal pools. Gave us towels for the pools. Rooms are huge and staff are excellent. Couldn't ask for more thanks guys we'll be back on homeward trip! :)

Just travelled 10hrs after booking 2 months ago. Had email confirmation and arrived and told that there was an error with our booking and could not stay. They offered to find us a place which they did and it is horrible! Never again. No apology offered at all! Disgusting!

Great communications about booking. Such a nice welcome upon arrival and lovely sunny room. The price was really good value as the lodge has some great special deals. The room was spacious for the 3 of us, exceptionally clean and really well fitted out. Wish we could have stayed longer — and would certainly stay again.

Nice clean room with friendly helpful staff. Lovely in-room cheese wine platter too :-).
