Spacious cabin on the main strip of Hanmer springs. The thermal pools are located across the road, they offer towels to take as well so you don't need to hire. Off street parking. Small but everything you need kitchen. Small patio area out the front. Friendly staff. Thanks for being great hosts.

Clean, tidy rooms. Staff friendly. Could hear people/tv in the room next to us. Found out they offered towels for the pools and had a coin operated dryer as we were checking out. A great service to offer and would have loved to have known about it at check in. Other than that would recommend and would stay again.

Great location and price for a last minute booking. We got a single room, we could hear the people next to us but it wasnt too bad. Would book again, thank you for a lovely stay.

Great place to spend a relaxed time in beautiful Hanmer Springs. The room is spacious and cossy, the owners are friendly and the place is located pretty much in front of the hot springs.

Brilliant stay. Extremely helpful with sorting out getting my tramping clothes cleaned.

What a let down. In-laws booked a night away for a rare break, booking a disabled unit. There was no rail in the bathroom, and staff only offered a small stool to use in the shower. This meant the mother in law could not use the shower, which may have been intended considering there was no soap provided anyway. A whole $10 discount was offered. Much better options to choose from in Hanmer, so go elsewhere.

Cosy and great location. Centrally located close to the thermal pools, units are a little tired but have had new carpets. The rooms are very clean and really comfortable, staff are very friendly and helpful, would consider staying here again.

Wanted to say a huge thanks to the staff at Alpine Lodge. Not only did they provide last minute accommodation for my sister after a sour Travel Agent booking landed her quite a hike from the centre, but, like knights in shining armour, they sent someone to pick her up as well, so she didn't have to walk! The Chalet is beautiful and the staff have been making sure she is taken care off. Thanks for making her well deserved break something very special.

Rooms were nice and clean but with thin walls it was easy to hear all the noises from rooms around us. Thankfully people were considerate and kept the volumes of TV and voices low at night so overall the stay was good.

Friendly staff. Rooms moderately priced for Hanmer. Owners were friendly and very helpful. TVs were old. Lacked channels. No aircon in two seperate rooms we stayed in. The cheaper rooms offer no kitchen. Its good but not exceptional.

Nice and cosy place. Nothing grand, but we weren't looking for that. Room got a cabin feel to is. Nice and quiet, but not sure if that's only because of the current circumstances (just had an earthquake). Only exception being the fridge buzzing a bit straight across from the bed. Free Internet, but that's slow as can be. But that seems to be the norm most places.

When we booked this room, it was under the impression that it would be a luxurious experience. We were disappointed. Arrived to find that there was no actual parking allocated for our room which was one of the Tower Rooms and relativley expensive, so we just found a park, sorted. Found that there was no Wi-Fi in the room as apparently the server was down and when speaking with the manager she indicated this is a regular occurrence. The spa was described as a double spa, but in comparison to other double spas we have experienced, this one was not comfortably accommodating for two. At least half of the lightbulbs had blown and the bathroom only had one so the mirror was 75% fogged up. There was only half a toilet roll for use as the other on the windowsill was soaking wet in its wrapper. But the main issue was that when we went out for dinner and returned to the motel, we found that our carpark had been taken and there were no others available so we had no choice but to park the vehicle on the road! On the website, it stated that there was undercover parking for the Tower Suite rooms. This was a total annoyance and if we had've had our children with us, we would have been highly unimpressed! For the price we paid, we were left wanting with the service provided. We had stayed at Tussock Peak a few months previous and paid $100 less but recieved a $100 more in service. Would not recommend.

Their tower suites could use some soundproofing as another user has pointed out — our early Sunday morning wake up call was to the tune of noisy sex from our neighbours — which was nice! Guy who showed us around was super nice and friendly so no complaints there. They are right across the road from the hot pools so their location is ideal. Price was fairly reasonable so no complaints there. On the online booking page there is a special requests box and I specifically asked for someone on their staff to draw a "Happy Birthday dinosaur" on some paper for us to pick up on arrival. Needless to say we never got our dinosaur : ( Sad times : ( Overall I would totally recommend staying here. It was clean, tidy and is in the middle of town.

The room was clean and tidy but we were disappointed as the room smelt quite bad. It smelt as though someone had vomitted. The host was also abrupt.

Lets just say the tower suites could use a little soundproofing. The heating as others have noted just didn't cut it.
