Location is great. The studio where we stayed is perfect for a couple. It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. And the staff was very friendly. The only negative thing for us was the Wi-Fi connection. We stayed at the very corner of the building and the Wi-Fi signal there is null. But as overall I would recommend this place!

Never recommend this place as the person at the reception is very rude and doesn't know how to treat people. He does not even listening to his customers.

Extremely dirty and obsolete. Generalized dirt: disgusting soil, emergency repair walls, general maintenance visibly abandoned, exterior rear recalling a waste dump, abominable toilets, filthy kitchen with barely a few forks; overall the establishment has far too many visitors compared to its capacity in kitchen, bathrooms, toilets and especially cleaning. The three interactions I had with the Manager were lamentable, which does not prevent him from making the proud with his big 4x4 while there is no room to park his vehicle. In short, I have lived many things in my life but here we arrive at the top.
Note a positive point: the Wi-Fi is of excellent quality and fast.

Pro — good location, easy to walk around Cons — shaky spring beds, small bathroom shower with no real shower curtain. Not enough lights and quite noisy.

Compared to the rest of the Paihia this place is pretty cheap. There are no cameras so your food gets stolen from travellers and the Wi-Fi just honesty sucks. The owner is smart and has been in business for years so don't try a trick him concerning money. It gets a little weird here in winter but it's nice.

Well, clean Hostel, very central, nice bedrooms and kitchen. But the owner is very unpolied. Seems that he don't need customers.

Great place and staff. Francieli is the best attendant. Price is good too.

Nice and friendly place. Good kitchen, spa and common areas. Bikes for hire (there is a mountainbike park closely). The beds aren't the best, but it's really close to the beach.

For the price it's hard to beat but not lugsurey. Great to meat people in communal kitchen and learn from those who've traveled a bit before you.

Nice for a hostel, the host went to the trouble of pushing two singles together as we booked a double room the day before we arrived. Communal bathrooms were quite clean in the morning but a little worse for wear in the evenings and the area outside the showers had little drainage. The place is nice and close to everything in Paihia. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Great place to visit or use as a base if taking time to travel the north. Fantastic area with loads to do. The lodge itself is very warm, welcoming and Jack is a great host!
