A little loud next to the road, but well priced, very nice rooms, very friendly and helpful staff and views to die for. Would definitely visit again!

The location is perfect of this motel is very central, it takes 2-3 mins walk to the downtown. The facility is quite complete, and it’s also clean which is very suitable for family’s vacation. BTW the room we lived just has a part of the lakeview, it’s very regrettable!

We stayed for 2 nights. Had a room with balcony facing the sea, nice view of sunset. Paihia Wharf is within a few minutes walk, and plenty of food options nearby.

The rooms are spacious, clean and include a kitchen. It is also walking distance into town. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely room with a gorgeous view over the beach. The lady at reception was very helpful with recommendations of walks and restaurants. The tap water tastes terrible, but this is across all of Paihia and definitely not just this hotel! Would definitely return to this hotel.

Motel got pretty good facilities, modern decoration, room is big size, ocean front, but may be off road, room is a bit noise, receptions was nice, fast check in. Walk distance to town center. Close to restaurants and bars. Will be back here if come to paihia again.

Really Quaint rooms. Nicely updated and modern looking. My room was overlooking the water and was gorgeous! The woman who checked us in was very welcoming and helpful with giving us recommendations of things to do and see as well as restaurants to eat at. Relatively decent price for the view and the updated room. Would stay again!

Travelled from Ontario, Canada. The room was clean and tidy. Very modern. The bed was very comfortable. Kitchenette was stocked with cutlery, serving ware, and cooking appliances. The location was great. Within walking distance to local restaurants and to the pier. Heated towel rack and French press for coffee in the morning was a great touch!

My husband and I stayed at the Breakwater Motel for a weekend trip away. From checkin to checkout everything went smoothly. We had great advice on restaurants and attractions in and around the area. We had room 13 which had a magnificent view. It was very clean, well set out, very comfortable bed and lounge suite. Massive bathroom. Lots of trees and plantings which attached lots of beautiful native birds. Thanks Lyn and Ken for a great to stay… look forward to visiting the winterless north again real soon!

Easy check in, easy check out, friendly and helpful staff, room was clean, beautiful view of the bay, close to delicious food, amazing views, close to kayaks, close to boat tours, close to hiking. Only regret is not staying longer.

The Breakwater motel was lovely, very clean, friendly, helpful staff. The motels position is lovely over looking the bay, close to town. We will highly recommend the motel telling family and friends about the motel. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Excellent very friendly helpful well designed rooms and facilities, near to Warf and best of all great sea views. Well worth the price.
