Great owners very friendly. Love the motel units. Pub across road is great too and only short walk to beach.

Our family of 7 absolutely loved our time here, great facilities, kids enjoyed the play areas, friendly staff and loved the location too with the beach a 5 min walk away. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

. Beautiful atmosphere, great hosts, friendly environment. Well equipped and maintained good standards. Very Clean, super safe and definitely a winner for families and kids. No blankets or quilts, cold nights, heater provided not warm enough. Cleanliness was alright. Could do with a few more showers.

This is a nice camp but we found that it was quite noisy at night being close to main highway. Trucks. Has a good pub across the road.

Cheery hosts with lots of local knowledge. Was perfect for me and my campervan for a night.

This is a cracking place if your a truckie, heaps of parking out back, close to the main road so your not getting off the beaten track to much, the food is hearty and filling. Staff are heapful and are happy with makes for a good atmosphere. There is a shower there for drivers who want to sleep in there trucks, just have to by some dinner witch I thought was fair. Definitely a good place. Recommend it!

Worked well had to cancel 1 night stay but able to use it again.

I have a large trailite motorhome, I needed somewhere to park for the night, I drove in the office was closed but a note saying, Hello park where you want will catch up in the morning, enjoy your stay, I found this as an act of good faith in human race, the facilities were very clean every thing was in excellent condition, I went over to the office next morning to register, the attractive lady was having coffee and asked would I like one, man best coffee I had had for a long time, the owners of the camp made me and my wife very welcome, we ended up staying for 5 days, the rates were very good for a powered site. Would recommend to all motor homers. Aaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Well I didn't even get stay in the place because I ended up in hospital with my daughter I rang a couple of hours after 6 on the the night I was 2 arrive to unbook the room, I turned up Saturday morning because they had taken and charged 2 nights at $145 now when I rang to book it I spoke 2 Elizabeth who gave me the understanding I only had 2 pay 1 night 2 secure the room, I then gave her the understanding I would pay the outstanding amount on my arrival? I take full responsibility 4 the actions of my passenger that turned up with me on Saturday and was verbally, but wouldn't u b if the well known westshore holiday park napier removed money out of my acc without my authority… and if that ain't bad enough I turned up calm willing 2 forfeit a night as I am single working mother of 2 and they had taken everything I had, come 4rm Taupo to meet two lady's with no compassion only excuses 1. Didn't hear 4rm me Friday so that gives them right to take all that's owing without authority. 2. Sum randoms over heard me talking about westshore at the hospital n the room was payed 4. 3. The confrontation.

Great place to pitch a tent for relatively cheap, has got Wi-Fi and the owners seemed helpful had to pay 50c for shower.

Owners are extremely rude. I don't know why you would get into a business that deals with people if you can't be civilized to them. Also kicking a family out after the owners child had a small spat with theirs is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting! 100% Do not recommend!

Never again, access into camp when checking in poor as there is a barrier arm with the office on the other side of it, we were told off by reception for where we parked with a large 23 foot caravan. "motel unit" original 1960's with a coat of paint, shocking for $150. You can stay on the water front in an actual motel for the same money. Also very close to main so heavy truck noise.

Rude, unprofessional, very stressed out owners who take their issues out on their customers. Not a place I will recommend to anyone to stay — plenty of nice places in Napier.

BED BUGS! My children and I were bitten by bed bugs. When we checked out I spoke to both owners who were very dismissive. They even said 'we had a doctor stay for two weeks last week and he didn't say anything'. I don't think bed bugs care about profession, but I caught a bug and showed the owners who shrugged and said we've never had a problem before you. The hotel was so grubby, on the surface it was tidy but grime coated walls and floors and filth behind the toilet. I think the bugs came from the old, grubby sofa or the quilt covers which smelt like they hadn't been washed in a very long time.

Nice place. Big site with good facilities. A bit expensive, and also have to pay for shower. On the whole, not bad.

There were drunken permanent residents there who played loud music into the early morning. Go here if you want no sleep.

Overall good experience. Our room was quite simple and ugly, but you do get what you pay for. I had a fine time staying here but I'm not sure I would consider staying again.

Friendly owners. But mucked up our bookings a bit. Rooms we got were adequate for stay.

I am absolutely disgusted with the service they rang me after I left and abused me saying I trashed the room and lied about how many people were staying there when in fact I didn't lie it was for me and my 3 kids and the place was not trashed all it was was a bit of rubbish and some lollies on the floor. The owner continued to call me a joke when I tried to defend myself and called me a pig and then said he felt sorry for my children to have a puff of a mother. I will not be going there again I am absolutely shocked at suchow bad service!

Loved our cabin, self contained. Amenities were very clean & maintained. The owners very friendly. There was obviously enough cabins & sites to cater for all needs a stop over or long term.

Extremely noisy don't expect to get any rest if you are a light sleeper, constant loud traffic from nearby main roads and airport. Reasonable camp price, basic facilities, paid shower, Wi-Fi doesn't reach unpowered sites. Can walk to the harbour and wharf. No real complaints except ridiculous noise.

Have just come from here will not becoming back! Management need to get there books right! We had booked in advance like 4 months and apon arrival management had told us that were on a different site but before that they tried to say we had to pay 88$$ kitchen facilities were ok but they need improvement! Definitely will not be coming back waste of our money and there wasn't much for the kids to do!

Not very happy heater did not heat the room it was cold and musty it was not the picture we look at all.

Brenda is a very rude individual, I never stayed there. I asked for a quote for long term weekly accommodation and she said no I'm not doing that its not my problem, I don't understand how they even have guests, VERY RUDE, I DO NOT RECOMMEND,

This is a decent holiday park with good amenities. The kitchen and toilet/shower facilities were fine with plenty of hot water (although showers are. 50c for 4 mins) and there are plenty of powered sites for those in campervans. It is on a the busy main road into Napier so possible a little noisier than some parks but this didn't hinder our sleep at all.

Overall an average camping ground. At our arrival we were disappointed because it is located next to the highway in an industrial area. Also there is an issue with mice in the kitchen. As we left we told the management about that problem and told them it's unacceptable because of disease spread by mice excrement. They became really angry and approached us aggressive. Also they explained there is no risk and that they use poisonbaits arround the campingground which means it was an known problem. I also never saw a warning about the use of poison in the area which would be necessary. So all in all such an unprofessional behaviour from the management, which puts the health of costumers at risk, made our visit disappointing and we would never recommend to visit this place if your concerned about your health or the health of your children.

I stayed here over the Easter break 2014 and have to say this is one of the cleanest holiday parks I have stayed at. The room was spotless and had everything that you could need. The showers and the toilets were immaculate. I highly recommend Affordable Westshore Holiday Park Napier.
