There are so many wonderful things to say about this lovely hotel. The staff are all so welcoming and caring. Every morsel of food was absolutely delicious. The beds and pillows are heaven! The rooms were spotless and the mini bar filled with fabulous treats! The location is perfect! Going back to the staff, they were the loveliest people I have ever met. I recommend Pillows Anna with 1000 stars. Thank you to all!

I had a terrible time at this hotel. I originally booked the deluxe room with private terrace, room 03. This room is located directly under the dining area, right next to the public toilet and the maids supply closet. I noticed this immediately and asked to have my room changed right away, I was told the hotel was fully booked and they would not be able to switch my room until after the second night. So for two days I listened to feet stomping above me and doors outside my room continually opening and closing. With the curtains open anyone in the public garden area could see directly into my room, so absolutely no privacy. After the second night I worked with Helder, the acting hotel manager, and he assured me I would not be charged for the first two nights and I would recieve a rate reduction for the last two nights for being moved to a smaller room. Helder told me he would be there the next day to give me my final bill, but he wasnt. The actual Hotel manager Anna was the only person there and would not fulfill the agreement I had with Helder, she told me that refunds are done through expedia, since I booked my room through them. I emailed expedia right after my conversation with Anna and was told that they would contact the hotel, then handle the refund process. Once I got home I called expedia and they informed me that only the hotel can authorize a refund.

Lovely boutique hotel. Rooms are very small, but fully equiped and quite cosy. Taking off 1 star for waking us up with a fire alarm early in the morning because something burnt on the show cooking stove in the restaurant downstairs. Staff was very kind though and comped us breakfast.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Incredible service and food — I really can't recommend this place enough. Tuesday-Thursday they have guest chefs in cooking delicious 3-course meals that really have to be eaten. Although it is expensive, the cost is worth it for a boutique hotel like this.

Absolutely rate this hotel. Very friendly and knowledgable staff, ready to help in any way they can — booking museum tickets, making a cocktail, recommending places to visit.
Our rooms were very comfortable and clean. And the beds are the most comfortable I’ve slept in in any hotel. The pillows are AMAZING!
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful followed by a walk through Vondel Park into Amsterdam.

Friendly staff, tidy, clean high-tech rooms, complementary beer on arrival, complementary latte when our food took a while (it wasnt even that long, we didnt complain for them to offer it to us) complementary cheesecake when we checked out. This place comes across as VERY customer focused, the staff cant do enough for you. Would highly reccommend.

The staff was super friendly, very nice! The room was just beautiful, lovely colours and details for decorations. Minimalistic, but stunning in all ways. We are happy to stay here for many more time here!

From the warm atmoshpere and delicious smell when entering the hotel towards the excellent hospitality and service (and freshly made cakes) of the friendly and professional staff.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful city. The building is beautiful, located close to the city center but in a non-touristy location. The service was impeccable. The rooms are tastefully designed with cute small touches like an old working transistor radio and a complimentary journal. The bed was amazing, super comfortable! And the shower was great too. Couldn't say enough good things about this place! Everyone was so friendly, we were even greeted with complimentary glasses of red wine when we checked in. We kept saying that it felt like we were staying in the home of a family friend, not a hotel. We were also able to catch breakfast here one morning and the food was fantastic — they have a working open kitchen 24/7! Overall, we loved our stay with Pillows and we will definitely stay here again next time we come to visit Amsterdam.

Wonderful welcome on a rainy Amsterdam day, warm scent of lavender throughout the hotel. The room was small but modern with a lovely view overlooking gardens. Staff were very attentive and made our stay very pleasant.

The hotel is located just a short stroll from the vondelpark which is great since it is one of the "must see" attractions in the city. It is located really close to a tram station, so in a couple of minute u r right in the center of town or at the airport. The rooms r well designed very clean, the bed is very comfortable, and we had a view to the hotel's garden. The staff is very welcoming, smily and eager to help. We would definitely come back…

Very nice, clean and friendly Hotel and crew. Perfect Location for an Amsterdam trip, near to the Central and also only 45 min to the beach.

The hotel staff were very kind, helpful with a lot of advice and always available to make your stay enjoyable. The room is very cosy and home-like. Only negative side is that the windows are not totally airtight; double glazing does not help in preventing the cold breeze and noise from getting in.

Been there in April 2015, very nice place. Clean rooms, very nice and welcoming staff. The building is traditional, meaning high stairs, but elevators are great help if you are not up for a climb. The rooms were spacious in comparison to other hotels I've been to in Amsterdam. There's a tram station nearby that can get you to city center, though a 25-30 minutes walk with a nice weather is not a chore either.

Good location, the hotel is in a traditionsl house within a nice residential neighborhood. The finishing and service are very simple.

Outside hui; inside Ugh! Upon our arrival, we were asked to pay our 3 nights in advance. We had booked our reservation half a year ago. You could move hardly in the room under the roof, which was assigned to us. Let hang our clothes. Because the Matrazensprungfeder looked out, we asked for another room. We were accommodated across (at least the bed was 2 x 2 meters wide) in a cellar hole. Mold spread 80 cm on the bathroom wall. Right next to the entrance to the bathroom was covered the mildew with a wall mirror. Sucking up to the pieces of silver in the bathroom. The chest of drawers, which served as wardrobe replacement, could be opened only with brute force, because the key had broken off. The next day we moved back to the main house. Here too, the space available were very limited! At night, the fire alarm in the room went off twice. We stood in the bed and wondered: what to do?
The staff was helpful and friendly. However, the hotel as a whole made a "scruffy" impression. Cleanliness and hygiene could be improved! Other hotel guests confirmed same States on demand.

Negative: I stayed in a single room. It had no shampoo, no air conditioning, holes in the bottom sheet, one small pillow with no extra. There will be lots of street noise from a half block away if you get a front room. On a hot day, if you open the window, you will get mosquitoes, so you face a decision of whether to be too hot or to be bitten. I stayed there in the summer of 2010.
