For the price, the room was good, the service was acceptable. Wifi 24h, the breakfast was good The only problem is the stairs to your room. I hope the owners will change that.

Cheap but clean Hotel in the center.

Location is good. Beware you most likely will have to walk at least two flights of steep and narrow stairs. The room was very modest and clean, bathroom was good but the shower temperature was definitely not working right. The breakfast was simple but good and the people that work there are very friendly. We got to leave our bags in their storage till the room was ready.

Good Accommodation opportunity. Just off the Main Road. Clean Rooms. Simply furnished, unfortunately very light courtesy and can only be reached via steep stairs. Breakfast is rich: Muesli, Bread, Rusks, Crispbread. Egg, Cold Cuts, Jam, honey, Chocolate, fruit, tomatoes, Cucumbers, coffee tea, Juices, Milk.
Overall, very satisfactory.
For Cat Allergy Sufferers: There is a Hotel Cat that is in the Area of reception.

Good location just across from the tram station, AH supermarmaket just below. Provided breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful, you can even print your booking ticket free of charge. The only downside was the STEEP stairs (NO lift) … making it a mission if you have LARGE bags.

Well located but very rudimentary.

One of my best experience I had while I visited Amsterdam first time in 2017. A cool place to stay and pass time. I stayed in a single room with bathroom at 3rd floor. Room was good comfortable. But you have to take stairs. The tram stop is just opposite to hotel and there is a big shopping store beside. Staffs are very friendly. If possible I will visit again.

Good location, close to the museum area and Leidsplein Plaza. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. Many stairs xa access the rooms. Hair dryer You can leave it at the front desk.

In a city with such expensive accommodations, this hotel is an excellent choice. I read in many comments that it is noisy, dirty, that there is smell of tobacco, etc… In our case, no noise or dirt or anything. Modest, but quiet and clean room, a double room with breakfast, €380 for four nights, you seen the prices of Amsterdam, not bad at all. It is somewhat removed from the center, half an hour walk from Dam Square, but by cons, just 10 minutes from the museums and the Vondelpark; The area is very lively, with many bars and restaurants; Just below the hotel there is a magnificent supermarket of the Albert Hejn chain and opposite there is a tram stop 1, which after touring the center, leaves us at the central Station. The hotel is located in a typical Dutch building, with long and empinadísimas stairs, without elevator, which we did not have any difficulty; Our room had a direct access without having to go through reception, which opens every day from 08.00 to 23.00 hours, but there's always someone on duty. Breakfast served from 08.00 to 10.00 hours, is more than correct: freshly made bread, sausages, butter, jam, coffee, pot juice, cupcakes, etc. In a very pleasant stay. You can smoke anything in the rooms, although you have to have the window open, if you skip the alarm you will risk one to a fine of 1. €0.

Excellent value for money. You can smoke in the comfort of the room. There is a super down, a Starbucks half a block away, or kiosk for the down front and many restaurants 3 blocks away. Breakfast is very complete, has everything. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend it a lot as it is worth only 4 euros more the night for 2 people than a hostel and it is much, much more comfortable, especially for couples. Thank you!

Great hotel near the center of the steep staircase just like Amsterdam we revenon in August because really not disappointed of this hotel of hot chocolate at breakfast would not refuse but otherwise very well I recommend.

The Hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Below you have a supermarket and close to the hotel there are several attractions of the city.

+ Cheap + well located + Free Breakfast + pretty seen on the top floor +/— steep staircases (but hey it makes you do sports) — heavy doors to pass with a wrench that closes once past (one is between the room and the bathroom) — the reception does Does not stipulate that there is no remote control in the room… — Empty hand soap dispenser for 2 days — inconvenient bed Ps: For common bathrooms, is better to fall on someone who is clean and who knows how to flush the water good ACCU Eil! Smiling people.

The hotel is definitely away from the standards. Breakfast not varied.

Rooms arr not tide, reek of tobacco not soap nor shampoo. Nice view from breakfast room. Too basic breakfast.

The hotel has come well in the years price okay breakfast manageable could be bit more variety.

Great place for a long weekend and sort of near the city centre, right next to the number 1 tram route. Note there are steep stairs up to reception and rooms. Good to have breakfast included too, note Wifi needs signing in each time thus sometimes does not connect properly once connected works fine. Keep up the good work and definitely one to try at other times, nice and warm in the winter months.

Cheap and well located Hotel in Amsterdam. They don't put on double beds. Many very small stairs not accessible for handicapped people and you will hear everything they are doing in other rooms. If you go to this hotel to sleep alone it is advisable.

I am a non-smoker I cannot close the window so the smoke from the next room kept filling our space Otherwise not bad with unexpectedly good breakfast.

Nice hotel almost in the centre (a pleasant walk), close to public transport, shops, cafes, restaurants, a beautiful Park. The hotel room was clean, comfortable and clean shower and toilet (in the room), the room is small but for a comfortable bed has everything you need. Breakfast was very good, the staff is friendly and helpful, there is a sitting area overlooking a courtyard (air-Amsterdam).

I couldn't recommend this place more. It's in a great location, smoking allowed in the rooms ;-) lovely balcony overlooking what a would assume is a real traditional courtyard area in Amsterdam. I will definitely be staying here again when I return.

Good value for money but being right in the center it's a bit noisy.

Leaves much to be desired. The rooms are small and the odor of marijuana/cigarette is unbearable, I left 2 days open windows all day and not going to though that says smoke-free place. As a service just give you the towels and nothing more, no soap leave you and the breakfast is very normal. The reception is lousy, it is assumed that should the. Mebos to know how the public transport… Or that they knew… I Believe that abuse because the hotel is cheap compared to other places.

Noisy surroundings, main road, tram, pedestrian crossings, car horns, sirens etc can all be heard. It's a good 20 minute walk from the centre. The rooms are basic, beds not that comfortable, shared bathroom. However, there's a lovely park nearby, supermarket underneath, tram stop outside, and very very cheap. Staff are friendly and the place is generally clean enough.! WEED FRIENDLY ROOMS! as long as you don't set off the fire alarms they're happy for you to smoke. This isn't a romantic hotel, nor one to bring kids, it's one to shortlist if you want to do dam cheaply, without shared room hostels, and if smoking in your room is a requirement. As long as you only intend on sleeping there, you'll be reasonably happy (just bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper)

Normal Hotel, well located. Ideal if you just want a place to sleep, shower and leave the suitcase. The breakfast is quite good. Seen as seen in the city, approved high.

It is quite expensive. But the accommodation in Amsterdam is expensive. The beds have no sheet, acostumbrsn to use only a duvet to sleep. The location is excellent and the best thing is the breakfast super-varied, abundant and rich.

For me it is one of the best hotels in Amsterdam location.

I found this "hotel" looking for an affordable accommodation within Amsterdam (the thing that seems to be impossible). The stairs as many of the accommodations are very short and steep so they don't fit your feet in them. The hallways stink to porro as they leave to smoke in the rooms although you say that these exposed to a fine if the alarm. The Wi-Fi works pretty well. Another good point in its favor is the breakfast that they offer which although not too varied, in the morning a good toast with cheese, jam, fruit, juice and coffee is always good.

Very nice, clean place to be. Friendly nice staff, very nice breakfast included and free Wi-Fi within the hotel and rooms. Main tram stop that goes through the central areas just outside. Only downside was the stairs, they were quite steep and 3 flights high if you got one of the top floor rooms. Smoker friendly which was nice as long as it was with the windows open, and on the balcony if u wanted to smoke the "other" stuff ;) Will return to this hotel if visiting Amsterdam again.

The conditions are decent — rooms and toilets clean and big enough, breakfast satisfying and the location very good, close to the center and museums. When it comes to the relation money/quality Hotel Abba is excellent (considering accommodation price in Amsterdam, which is higher than in most of Europe).

Very decent budget hotel, close to the city center (and with a supermarket and tram stop just downstairs). The building is old but the interior is fixed. We booked a room with private bathroom and all the fixtures were brand new and working perfectly. The room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast is nice. Steep stairs and no lift.

Loved the location. Just close enough to access many parts of the city. Feels more like an apartment. Great market downstairs.
