Im giving this place 5 stars I think it balances environmental awareness with travel and hotelling perfectly. I really loved the eco ethos about the place, staff were really friendly and helpful and the foyer/bar/restaurant was very cool and comfortable. Rooms were pretty basic but had everything you need. Bicycle hire also well priced and excellent location for cycling to and from places. 10/10 would stay again.

Very kind service. Room was good and clean. AC wasnt really good enough and the water pressure too weak. Breakfast was fresh. Eggs were of different quality every day. Great location.

Top floor room is very cosy, beds are extremely comfortable and the view form the balcony is stunning. Great location for hotel, not near the crazy busy of the city central areas but easily walkable distance away, although tram is also cheap and accessible. Park opposite is beautiful. Staff all very friendly. Breakfast isn't the best for diffetent options.

We've stayed here twice in 3 years and as with all hotels in Amsterdam the room tarrif has risen dramatically or thanks to Brexit the exchange rate isn't as good. Still a decent hotel, clean and functional and the staff are always helpful and pleasant. Overtoom is a long road and the hotel may be a little out of the centre for some, that said the number 1 tram stops about 50 meters from the door.

Really great personnel. Simple and central. The park behind the hotel is great. The Tram runs tight outside the Hotel. Perfect.

Really comfy beds, friendly staff, nice location by the park. It's lovely any time off day. Great en suite too. Breakfast was a varied selection, various juices too and as many machine coffees as you can take, but we only had it once and found other things elsewhere the rest of the time.

Beautiful hotel that we highly recommend! The rooms are very small and very clean and comfortable. The Staff was very helpful The lobby is beautiful, to have a coffee, a Dutch artisan beer, eat something and listen to good music. Cozy atmosphere, makes you feel at home.

Great! Nice and clean, great service with the tram which in a moment brings you to the center recommended.

I booked for 3 nights, from the 1st day I realized when I came home that someone was served in my races (coca, almonds, cakes…) Disappeared! Might as well say that I did the rest of the stay with my suitcases as not trusting my personal belongings!
It's a pity because aside from that point the rest is positive.

Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are simple, everything working, bed is comfortable, extra pillows were provided. It was a little cold but heater was also provided (at 1am, delivered to door). More conscious food options nearby, including a raw food cafe down the road. 24hr bar, organic cafe next door. Great location, close to the park and one tram (no. 1) gets you to the central area in 15/20 min.

Hotel design and style… We loved it… Spacious rooms and bathrooms well kept and clean. Delicious breakfast. Full note… Super well located, in front of the Voldenpark. More than enjoyable stay. Totally recommended.

Good location, friendly staff and the bed was really comfortable. Room was okay but the bathroom was cold. Easy to hire bikes from reception as well. Lots of great places to eat and drink nearby.

Room temperature too cold and not controllable. You should ask for electric stove at the reception.
Questionable cleaning: The shower mat found in the same position, the floor as it will have washed?

On the 6th floor it's nice and quiet. We had a private balcony with a romantic scene of the city. The staff was friendly and of course we had service with a smile. Price worthy and comfortable.

The bike rental and parking are a little more that make the stay better.

The most uncomfortable experience. Not blaming staff. The hotel claims it's a conscious hotel, hence no kettles in rooms for hot drinks. However there conscious nature is quickly tossed away if one wants to pay for the privilege, and for most people, a basic requirement from a hotel! The pillows were terrible offering zero support for the neck, they quickly deflate. The hotel is also cashless which means that one has to keep a close eye on the spending as as every little extra they can charge one for, they will and on this occasion they couldn't even provide me with a bill of the alleged items I had. This us not a hotel for vegans or anyone with lactose intolerance. The breakfast had very little to offer and they could not tell me what a vegan option was. Which incidentally amounted to dry bread or cereal, again dry as they didn't think about this. As others have mentioned, the check in and check out facility leaves a great deal to be desired. I would not recommend staying at this hotel, it's very limited in what it can offer and the rates are similar to better properties nearer the centre. It didn't seem very busy and appears as a last resort accommodation. Not very conscious!

A great hotel with very nice staff and a great concept! Sustainability is a major priority here, but this does not stop the quality. Small notes are displayed everywhere in the hotel, as is currently being worked on in a sustainable way, e. G. By soap dispensers rather than small soap pieces in the room.
Parking spaces are available, but must be reserved beforehand. Rental bicycles are available.
Only for accessibility there is a point deduction, because juggling with strollers through the hotel is a bit challenging. There is very little space between the elevator and the next door to the building, but it is feasible.
The location is very nice, through the Vondelpark to the town centre it is about 20 – 30 minutes walk, but also in the immediate vicinity there are shopping and nice restaurants.

Great hotel in a quite location, just 10 minute ride by tram from the city center. The staff are extremely friendly and speak perfect english. The pillows were quite uncomfortable though.

A 5-10 minute bike ride through the gorgeous Vondelpark to get to the city centre. They rent good bikes for reasonable prices, helpful staff, clean and tidy rooms and bar.

Well located, nice staff, good breakfast (I missed squeezing machine for the orange juice, just bottled), nice room but not too big, nice baby crib, well isolated room. A bit too early check-out (11am) that made us rush. Accessible but not for big strollers or wheelchairs (doors are as big as hallways and it get a bit difficult to move with the stroller, but doable with a regular single baby stroller). Be aware that you are requested to show the credit card used for the payment (so employer arranging stays should warn employees).

Some of the friendliest people we've meet on this trip from the hotel, the beds are so comfortable. The room is large with a TV, we where able to stick in a Chromecast and chill while we where in the room. I would definitely recommend this hotel as we've only been in Amsterdam twice and twice we've stayed here.

My wife and I really liked it. It has a lovely staff but you can check in and out with a self service terminal. It's well located next to the park and the tram just outside that can help getting anywhere in the city centre. The hotel don't feel like 3 stars though, I would expect it to have only 2, as it has very few services.

Modern and very green Hotel, both in décor and intentions. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Location definitely outside the center, but on tram line 1 leading to Dam Square and Central station.

My 22 year old daughter and I stayed here on our recent trip to Amsterdam in March. I was very impressed with the hotel! The staff is absolutely lovely and very accommodating! The rooms are large and very clean and quiet. Sticky Fingers is a great place to pick up coffee and a quick breakfast. The location was excellent for our needs. The Museum Quarter is just a 20 minute walk through Vondelpark. From there, we were able to get anywhere by foot or the canal boats. We did take a couple of cabs to the City Center, but I have to say I really enjoyed returning to the hotel, where it is a much quieter area of Amsterdam. There are plenty of restaurants in the area within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel!

The location is excellent.

The hotel is in a good location, a nice walk into town, tram service right outside which can take you to lots of good museums and lovely quirky sights. Loads of food places from resturants to bars and corner shops. The rooms are big, have TV, free Wi-Fi, walk in shower… The staff are very helpful and will help out in giving information about trips etc, you can also purchase tickets from the hotel.

Wonderful location! An entrance to Vondelpark is right behind the hotel. Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. Was able to have a decent gluten free breakfast on request. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfy, but otherwise it's very plain. Bring your own pillow if you dont want to sleep on an incredibly flat one.

Its an amazing designed Hotel, its a beautiful opportunity for a trip to amsterdam. You feel safe and comfy. Its a great destination!

Clean, organized, great location, fresh new rooms, wonderful beds and bedding, excellent breakfast, spectacular location, friendly and helpful staff, new rental bikes. What I expected from the Dutch and then a lot more. Coming back for certain!

For a couple of days in Amsterdam enough. In front of the door, the tram departs from the same, alternatively, it is also able to walk to the city centre. You can rent bicycles from the Hotel — highly recommended. Around it there are various possibilities to eat and a supermarket. The rooms are small but clean. The bed was, unfortunately, about a star from me hood, a little to soft. I personally don't like mattresses with spring core.

Stayed twice, can't wait to again. Clean hotel, great showers and friendly staff. It's location is interesting as it further out of the city meaning a better chance if interacting with locals.

Great hotel in a beautiful part of Amsterdam. Supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance and right next to Vondel park. Brilliant price for how big the room is.

Great Hotel, with the Tram only 10 minutes from the city centre. I was in the annexe, in which it wonderfully quiet. Only the shower is unfortunately a bad design, since after the showers for lack of shower curtain in the half bathroom under water. This is unfortunately contrary to the purpose of the Eco-thoughts, since you have several towels needs the ground to dry again to get.

Really nice hotel, it's kind of conceptual, but it's very comfortable and the service is quite good.

The room was a bit small at first and very basic. It doesn't have kitchen stuff. That said, the staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the bed was nice, bathroom nice, and everything was smooth and worked out well. After I got over the initial shock of how tiny the room was, everything was great!

Great Hotel for a city trip to Amsterdam. Quiet, centrally located and environmentally. Tram in the old town, directly in front of the door.

Excellent initiative. Organic, ecological, sustainable hotel. The only thing that was a little strange was that there rooms were missing toilet brushes and shower curtains. One would think recycled plastic would be an option there.

The hotel was alright — well connected to the city centre via the tram, and there is a gorgeous park on it's doorstep. The staff were really helpful and friendly too. The room itself was one of the smaller double rooms I've stayed in, ever, and amenities like a thermostat and room service were missing. (Of course, it's meant to be eco-friendly, so maybe this explains the lack of heating control). I booked late, when Conscious was the best economic decision at €80/night. I would have expected much more for this price, but other hotels in Amsterdam were much dearer, so maybe this city is just more expensive to stay in. I don't regret booking Conscious Hotel, and I don't feel ripped off at all. I just didn't think it was that great, and for a hefty saving I believe there are some nice hostels in the city centre that I will probably consider next time.
