This is the worst “hotel”you can possibly stay in this area! It is better to pay a little more and stay somewhere that is not a HOSTEL. Loud Drunk guest wake you up at night. The rooms are nasty and not well kept. Elevator works whenever. A/C works but you cant set it, so the room is always hot. Food is available but not worth the 10€. Overall, keep looking a little harder and do not book here!

Woken up at 1130pm by a group of drunken travelers banging, kicking and screaming to open the door. Go to call front desk and phone cord is pulled out. Ok so I plug it back into phone. Phone jack is completely fake and connects to nothing inside the wall. Attempt to call via mobile with phone number listed on website, not in service. Unacceptable to be unreachable. Especially now considering this group of drunk men have not left. I have yet another night reserved. I will not be staying here. I feel unsafe.

According to the room size it is considered expensive, even though you have bigger rooms but even the single should be larger than this. The stairs are very hard to get on, you could slip easily, but the receptionist helped me with bags on both of my check — in and — out. The cleaning lady is very loud, you should be awake around 9 with no alarm on because of her. The weather was pretty nice I did not have any problem even tho there is no AC system but leaving the curtains open solved the case. The reception closes at night but there is an emergency line you can always call on. There is no room service, I had to stay 2 days with no water because I forgot to get with me. So it is more like an hostel. Overall experience deserves 3 stars! Thank you.

Friendly staff. Great location. It is quiet so that you can sleep with the window open and it is still close to the city. The only thing was that the bed was too short for me.

PROS: Friendly staff, good location, great shower, TV, clean. CONS: tiny room, expensive for the size of room (I have nothing to compare it to as it was my first time in a hotel in Amsterdam), saggy single bed. For one night it was no problem but I think the room would be too cramped for me for an extended stay.

Very well located, rooms are acceptable. You can hardly benifit from any services. Very small elevator. If you use the kitchen and not clean behind you, they charge you. Staff were a bit abrupt and hardly friendly.

Moderately high price, clean rooms with perfect bathroom! Great location.

The mattress are to soft, and the bed wasnt for a couple, but the staff are very nice and helpfull, I do recomend to stay in the Jupiter Hotel. Clean and nice rooms.

No parking and per night they charge 25 euros.

We are traveling from the States and we did not want to spend the money for an American branded hotel. We found the Jupiter hotel on line. The experience has been delightful. The rooms are small by US standard, (of course) but they are fastidiously clean. The breakfast was top notch, a wonderful variety of US and European fare. I needed some special advice for a business meeting and Sanjay at the front desk was very helpful. The hotel is about a five minute walk from the tram. You would do well to consider the Jupiter hotel.

Good value for money; The location Very nice quadruple. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast more than complete for the price of only 7, 5 euro.

The smallest room I've ever stayed in, with the steepest stairs to get there, and the thickest pillow I've ever used (it was like being forced to use two pillows even though I prefer just one). Breakfast was varied and good. Reception staff very helpful.

Great place! The guy who greeted us was very friendly, gave us a brief explanation of the city, some maps and discount coupons. Very clean room, comfortable beds and very quiet place; It had a stove, coffee maker, table, kitchen utensils. It has a very central location, walking you get to all the interesting places, museums and attractions. I will definitely go back to repeat on my next trip.

I think we had the worst room in the place (family room). It was really noisy from the other guests and much uglier than the pictures on the internet. There was rubbish on the bathroom floor from previous guests. The hotel is however in a great location.

Quiet location close to the Centre of Amsterdam.

Room and bathroom very clean.
But especially very friendly staff always very friendly and available.

The staff is really helpful and nice. Excellent breakfast, worth to choose. The rooms are nice and cosy.

Nice stay if you are travelling alone or just with friends. But I would suggest to go for other hotels if you are travelling with family and kids as this one got very small rooms.

The hotel is very clean. Curious they make babies pay children under 2 years even if they do not need crib.

Great hotel, modest prices and has all the basic facilities that can serve for a visit to Amsterdam. Its location is strategic, practically in the center and close to every tripods attraction. The tram stop is less than a 5 minute walk, tram which we only took in the last few days for laziness. You don't expect gold carpets and faucets, but small, functional bathrooms and warm, clean rooms. Staff excellent and helpful. I have been there twice already and if I go back to Amsterdam I am sure to choose it again.

It was nice looking room, even though beds was narrow (I am small woman of 50kg) and the nice bathroom, but strange behavior of the receptionist, taking his time, also for explanations etc, and in the morning we noticed dead mouse in the corner of the room… so we shared air with the dead animal.

Tiny rooms, Bed smelled. Also had to climb up steep stairs to get to my room on the 3rd floor. If you're looking for somewhere cheap, you can find somewhere better for sure.

Small room yet tidy, standart breakfast, the receptionist was friendly but another staffs (or guest? I don't know) Unfriendly. Too pricey with standart services.

Just spent three nights at this hotel, and cannot say enough nice things about the staff and accommodations here. Oleg and the rest of the staff really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our room was very clean, and it was very quiet also. We really enjoyed our balcony also, just a lovely place to stay! Would most definitely recommend this property!

We slept in the annexe, three steep ramps. Central, prices in the norm.

Super super friendly staff, also extremely clean. The room was small and with a shared bathroom but also really clean, quiet and with a comfy bed. The hotel is situated close to the city centre. We can recommend it for anyone planning a city trip to Amsterdam.

As per other reviews, the staff is arrogant and rude and you have to argue with them to respect you (they loved me the time I had to leave :) ). The rooms are super small but very, very clean. There were to cleaning ladies dusting off the rooms every day like in a 5 star hotel. Otherwise, the elevator did not work, too noisy from 8am in the morning from ppl leaving the hotel, no AC and you cannot open the window. Still, because of the low price I would go back plus the airport express bus has a stop basically 2 min away and there is a Lidl around the corner.

While the room seemed a bit dated, the price was outstanding given the location. Great Italian restaurant right across the street. Limited parking, but available for good price. Will stay here again.

Stayed there for one night, room was tiny but clean, bed was comfortable. The bathroom seemed to be freshly renovated. The stairs are steep, but there's an elevator in the next building. The city ist within walking distance. The innkeeper was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to secure my motorcycle for the night. He moved his own scooter to make room for it and borrowed me a chain. Would definitely book the same hotel again.

Mid-level Hotel, steep stairs, no elevator. Getting to the fourth floor with suitcases was a feat!

We were there one year ago. I recommend this hotel. Be sure to checkout the small garden behind the breakfast room. You must be really stealthy about packing your lunch from the breakfast buffet.

The hotel is located a few minutes walk from major museums. The Center is a little further, but easily accessible on foot. The room is spacious and clean and overlooking the main street and has modern and functional furniture, toilet and shower. The street is very quiet, there are no loud noises and you will sleep well. Bed is very soft and comfortable. There's the television but not the fridge. There is a wardrobe for suitcases, but there are no drawers in the room. To move up the ladder at the beginning is a bit of a pain, why didn't he used to, but after a few times it does more case to its inclination. Eddychoice in Amsterdam typically houses have very steep stairs. The staff is very friendly, but does not include the Italian, if not just a few sporadic Word. Breakfast is continental, very good.

Very nice rooms. But the floor is not for high heels or drunk. For the price, very central and clean.

Those are the steepest stairs I've ever seen. The attitute of the receptionist who seems to be the manager was offensive. He made us feel uncomfortable from the first moment. The room is too small with and there is no mini bar which means that there is nothing to drink in the room except tap water. Only basic stuff in the room with uncomfortable beds. I strongly recommend you to stay away from this hotel.

3 nights in a lovely room with bath (all the rooms do not have). Welcome with small packets of candy on the bed, it's always fun! Attention, better pay in liquid otherwise 5% by credit card.
The hotel is well located 5 min walk between 3 (very useful in Amsterdam) tram stations.
Good breakfast, free Wifi, TV.

Disclosure 1: the innkeeper is not "friendly. " But he's not rude. At all. Keep in mind that THIS IS AMSTERDAM and lots of people will do stupid things. And the rules seem to keep this place very CLEAN and TIDY. I guarantee you that people who have a problem with a "rude" innkeeper are probably horrible travelers with lots of entitlement issues. THIN WALLS? The TV didn't work?! Who goes to Amsterdam to watch TV?!?! C'mon people! The room was great. The breakfast was excellent (get there early if you want a good seat) and the hotel was NEAR everything. Rented a bike, locked it in front, and we were set for five days. GREAT restaurant across the street, and a great cafe named ZOUK just down the street. We caught a bus to the train station just up the street. Museums, nightclubs, etc. Are all close. IGNORE the 'bad reviews" and you will be happy you did.

Altough the location is nice and the rooms are relatively well kept, the attitude of the manager makes this stay an unforgettable experience, in terms of negativity. His attitude towards guest are offensive whenever you ask him something and his communication skills are almost nonexistent. better to stay away from this place, there are much better options available in amsterdam.
