Amazing Staff! Ms. Monica and her fellow colleagues took the greatest care of my daughter this past week while she had an unexpected 3 additional days in Amsterdam. What was initially one of the scariest things a mom can experience while their child is traveling resulted in peace of mind and gratitude that I'll never be able to adequately express. Thank you Monica and Thomas and everyone at Park Plaza Vondelpark for your kindness, quick responses and exemplary service. We will be forever grateful to you all.

This pathetic hotel and hotels. Com scammed me out of 1468 USD. I had booked the hotel for the end of July and these people booked it for the early June! Tried reaching them with no help what so ever! They refused to give back the money to my bank when I filed for a dispute! Beware and don’t dare book a room here! These two companies are literally a bunch of scam artists and scumbags! Wish they bloody rot in hell!

Loved the experience of staying at this hotel. My child received so much warmth and love. We had a perfect size cot in our room and vondelpark right next to it. Everything about this hotel was amazing. The reception staff was great as well :) will definitely stay here again.

It is a beutiful park and fantastic.

Wasn't sure about booking a hotel so far from the centre however we bought a travel card for our 3 day stay. Tram stop is a 2 minute walk away with trams arriving every 6 minutes. The hotel was lovely the rooms maybe slightly dated however they were nice and clean. Reception and bar area very modern. Breakfast was really nice with plenty to choose from. Very nice staff throughout. I will definitely return if I visit Amsterdam again. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Nice, affordable hotel, close to all major tourist attractions, but in a very quiet neighborhood. Very good and complete breakfast for a reasonable price. The staff is really nice and helpful. I have stayed in many, many hotels, and this one has the record for most amenities — they even give you a spray with a scent for your pillow! Would definitely recommend it.

The location is amazing howecer it is an old building the structure is not functional when you have too many luggages.

Good Hotel in a very quiet area just a step away from downtown. The rooms and the furniture are a bit old and ask to be renovated. Otherwise it's a rather pretentious comfortable hotel. The area has restaurants around and the tram opposite, in 15 minutes walking you will reach the center.

The location is beautiful and very clean. 60 sec from the park. Tram line right outside the hotel that will take you into the city center, or a 30min walk if you prefer. Staff are amazing. Always willing to help. My only problem was the cleanliness. Kept finding blood stains on my bed sheets, even after having them changed.

Second time we've stayed here. Nice hotel in a quiet part of Amsterdam with great transport links to everywhere. Breakfast is decent enough. Good value.

Building really needs an update. The outside is unimpressive for a Park Plaza and the rooms are dated and there is so much wear and tear in the rooms. Staff is very friendly and the area is really great, but I had to give 2 stars because I accidentally left my fitbit watch in the room I stayed in — they handled this situation horribly. After calling the hotel 10+ times with no one having an answer to ask about it, I finally got told that they could not locate it. Nice present for one of the cleaning ladies!

A great place if you visit Amsterdam. It is about 15 minutes walk from the center. From the central station, take tram 2 and leave you at the front door of the hotel. The area where it is located is very quiet. The breakfast of the hotel is delicious and very good quality (cheese, varied fries, tea, pastries, herring, cold cuts…). The room was very clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Got the room on the top floor with great views! Nothing to complain about and very friendly staff.

Located in a posher part of Dam a short walk from the museum district it's a nice area rrally close to the park. Room was decent, clean but the shower sink set up is a bit weird as the sink is in the bedroom not the shower room itself. Barman made a lush Old Fashioned and was good for a chat too. Super friendly staff too, a nice hotel.

A rabbit warren! Had to catch a lift to another level to take bags though a closed dinning room to get to another level just to get to our room. The room was very badly laid out. Glass walls for bathroom and vanity was outside the bathroom and located right at front door. Some staff helpful while other staff had no idea about public transport near the hotel. Would not stay here again. Not a great location, as it too far from main city areas.

Nice polite staff, clean spacious room. Room service was above par. Cost was slightly excessive.

Just a note to thank you for a truly amazing stay xxx we spent 4 nights with you, leaving yesterday. Absolutely wonderful place to be, beautiful room and great facilities (Elemis toiletries were a lovely touch). The staff were all lovely too — all around somewhere that I would heartily recommend people to stay if they want a little class — thank you all so much and if I come back, I'd have no hesitation in rebooking!

Great location for getting around Amsterdam. Friendly staff who were very helpful for any queries we had. Comfy room at reasonable prices.

Good from the main train station and the city centre reachable by tram. Within 10 minutes you can easily reach the museum quarter. The hotel itself is located on the edge of the Vondelpark in a quiet location. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and functional. Small prints are available for the advertised but not available minibar; As well as for partially substantially contaminated radiator controllers and latch.

I really like the neighbourhood, very close to the Rijks Museum and other cultural places of interest. Breakfast was good, and the rooms were clean and tidy and uncomplicated and only a short tram ride to the city centre.

Lovely staff. Very helpful. Clean rooms but terrible design. E. G. No hooks in bathroom. No privacy when having a no. 2. No problems for me but my wife couldn't use it. Good location.

The rooms are minimalist but we'll enough equiped with safe, hair dryer, TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom is unusual: simply being glass panels around the facilities, not great for privacy as the walls don't reach the ceiling. The beds are comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a small problem with a smelly drain which the staff saw to immediately. Over all, not bad, would probably stay again. 3

Very nice and well kept Hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff The room was very clean and had all the necessary amenities including a Nespresso machine is a kettle. The property is located in a very elegant neighbourhood of Amsterdam slightly outside the centre but easily reachable by tram or strolling. It is close to the beautiful Vondelpark Park. It has a luggage storage facility that allows guests to enjoy the city even after checking out. Recommended!

A very nice quaint little hotel which is very different but feels homely. Good spread of breakfast. It's in a nice neighbourhood which is uptown but there are no supermarkets close by. Some good restaurants are present in the vicinity.

Super friendly and helpful staff, beautiful hotel. Breakfast in the morning was awesome! Everyone was willing to help you out with everything, especially when it came to sightseeing. The lady on the front desk was super helpful with directions, trams, places to go and things to see. Not too far away from the centre, but far enough to be nice and quiet. I would definitely come and stay again!

Location of the hotel is great. The rooms has low standards an I found a bug in my bed.

I stayed this hotel on june. I havent got back deposit to my bank account yet. I called them 3 or 4times international call about this issue. Already its 2month passed. They said just apologized but no action after that. Everyone did u get back deposit, are u sure?!
maybe, some people might think like that, just deposit. But money is money and even we booked the hotel as a cheap price, but if they wont give back to money which means not cheap at all right!? even I sent a message, no reply, and when I called them, they said we will call back ASAP, but nothing happened, just liar.

Really nice hotel with calm surroundings a little bit outside the centre of Amsterdam. The big park Vondelpark was just around the corner, perfect for morning walks! The staff was very service minded. The room and the cleaning had a good standard. We rented bikes from the hotel for 15€ / 24h, I can really recommend that.

Nice hotel, accomodating, nice staff that helped us a lot. We ended up with the wrong room on the first day and it got sorted pretty quickly. The breakfast is nice, staff polite. The only drawback was the smell in the bathroom and shower area in the morning, coming from the gutter bit. I did read about this but brushed it off, it certainly needs sorting because the smell is very unpleasant and the last thing you need is a stinking room when you've been out all day and return to the hotel. The location is about 3 miles from dam square, and tram stop can be found round the corner. Getting our head round the public transport probably saved us 100 euros You can get the 2 right into dam square, and all the museum. Overall, pleasant experience.

The hotel has different buildings. The main building is terrible with old and dirty rooms. I complained as only new rooms were displayed on their website. They told me that we would have to upgrade to a superior room to get a modern one, but they did offer us a reasonable price increase to get the room. Once we got the new, clean and modern room, this hotel was very good! Very friendly staff too!

The structure from the staff polite and friendly (inside there is also an Italian), the rooms are not very big and at least in the one I booked, with an unpleasant odour probably due to a problem with the drains in the bathroom. You want to review.

Reasonably priced, ok hotel in a location which balances convenience and price. Would probably use again if the deal was good.

My daughter stayed for two nights in the hotel, smelled of cigarette smoke, and not of reeds, with a carpeting that you can only be you imagined it was, but what is serious is that my credit card have been charged AFTER BEING GONE FROM the HOTEL, AND UNBEKNOWNST TO me 300 euros because according to the owner had smoked in the room, all SHOWN WITH PHOTOGRAPHS
At the entrance, the holder has claimed a deposit which, at the date of the release of the office was duly returned, and then the room was left with checking that everything was perfect. THEREFORE I ADVICE you ALL NOT TO PAY WITH CREDIT CARD NORMAL BUT ONLY WITH a PREPAID CARD, OTHERWISE THE PRANK Can HAPPEN TO OTHERS, and also the photos that I could see? and in what way they were made to our insputa? you can only pay with prepaid credit card and with only the required amount on the date of booking

Great location in upscale area away from tourists. Lots of local food options within walking distance. The park is directly behind the hotel and a great place to explore. The hotel itself is long overdue for a refresh. The rooms vary in size so definately ask about your room when you check in and upgrade if possible to the building next door to the main hotel as there a 3 buildings total.

I stayed at this Hotel during my holiday in Amsterdam and would recommend it for both the location and the welcome. You can reach the centre either by foot (a little east) either by tram or by renting a bike. On the other hand it is behind the Voldenpark.

Good hotel, pity that the rooms close to the elevator are not sufficiently soundproof of it.

First class service staff best I have ever come across bar staff great lady on reception could not do enough for us more than pleased, tram stop 3 minute walk no 2 tram every 6 to 8 minutes into centre would come back in fact will come back again.

My room was dark and small. I rented the bike at €16 a day for 5: The second day broke the change. I asked to change it and I was told that they did not have it available with a shrug: I had neither exchange nor repair, nor refund the money. Also, little administrative care: in the middle of the stay I was again asked urgently no credit card and security, already given in the check-in. The only good thing: the breakfast.

Been to Amsterdam and stayed in countless hotels … this has been the best hotel by far! Beautiful area and super convenient tram stops … room 23 is huge!. And the whirlpool bath was great after a long day of walking. Staff are excellent and did I say the area was beautiful… vondelpark as our back garden for the weekend was perfect for our strolls in the early evening. Will defiantly be returning!

Close to the centre, very well connected, friendly staff.

Hotel does not live up to stands of Radisson nor the area it is in. Rooms smell terrible and carpet is stained. Bathrooms don't have proper walls.

This hotel was a great. Today is the best for me because my birthday is coming to the next few hours 17 July 1968.

Catastrophic, the money can be saved!

Ok, but that's it. Not for people with reduced mobility, as there are steep stairs to reach the entrance, and several areas are only reachable via stairs.

Stayed here with my wife in august 2013, ideal peaceful location with the number 2 tram stop practically 1 minutes walk away, the tram takes you past the museums and restaurants and straight to centraal station. The room we stayed in was clean and the bed was very spacious, yes there was a frosted glass door that led into the bathroom but not really a problem as such. The only downside to this stay was a very uptight and rude reception lady who charged me some sort of tax as we booked out which I paid (5 euros) even tho it stated on my booking form that all taxes were paid in advance? I would of left a tip but after her rudeness I decided against it. Just a minor blip in otherwise an amazing weekend, recomend room 12 to anyone.

Average. Nearby Vondelpark — cool.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel last October, and have booked for new years this year with family, coming to party from south Africa. Can't wait.

Rooms are quite outdated and partially dirty. Service friendly but not very capable. Gym w/o weights only some cardio machines. Only good thing is the location close to the park.

Double room superior very small, I don't want to imagine how it will be the standard, just there is room, the bathroom is also small, poor room cleaning. It does not correspond to a 4 star hotel or from afar, except in price, bad quality-price ratio. My stay was 4 days in August 2011.

A nice hotel with a reasonable rate, in a quieter part of Amsterdam than the hectic areas north of it. Decent room, adequate TV, but some silly stuff with the instructions for the hotel all in a cryptic menu on the TV, that misses the mark on several points. Internet was an OK 128bps, if you need faster, you can pay for it. With the Netherlands the home of such great electronic companies and developments, the Wi-Fi in the hotels seems well out of step with the rest of the world. Breakfast was pretty good, but pricier than is worth. I would absolutely stay here again.

I suggest and recommend this fine hotel when stoping in Amsterdam. Very clean rooms, excellent meals, very friendly staff. I stayed with this hotel over 7 years and ALWAYS was 100% satisfied. Do stay with this fine hotel! Maceo.
