Fantastic staff… great atmosphere… would 100% recommend it for the price.

Staying at his hotel in Amsterdam was the worst thing I've ever had. Their beds full of fleas! I have complained about booking and they have not responded.

Top place to stay in a nice area. Love the fact it has it's own club and roof terrace. I've stayed twice over the past few years and I'll be back again in February. Highly recommend this place.

I just stayed at this Hostel for 6 days to attend a global sketch conference. It is nothing fancy, bare bones rooms. I stayed in a 2 twin bed private room with private bathroom. Super friendly staff. Rooms dont have Ac but the common space does. A community room/ bar to hang out, clean rooms, outstanding rates and a great location. I highly recommend (and I am 56 yrs old)

Friendly atmosphere and the beds are long which is a bonus if 6ft plus.

Room, bedding, bathroom, towels spotlessly clean… Food and drinks reasonably priced and very good quality all prepared and served with care and consideration… All staff friendly and helpful giving hotel a real safe and warm homely feel… plenty to do… cannot fault the place highly recommend ❤️ Thanks people.

Absolute Sauna, good location and cool set out but far too stuffy in the rooms.
Invest in some fans.

The joint is 40 degrees in the room, surely put some sort of ventilation in each room. Stay at this place if you’d like to sleep in sauna and loose some weight otherwise steer clear of this joint.

Отличный хостел. Расположен в центре. От вокзала примерно 15-20 минут пешком. Или 2, 5 трамваем. Пешком время летит незаметно потому что проходишь через множество красивых мест и в каждый раз находишь что-то новое. Персонал очень внимательный В номере каждый день убирают, все очень чисто. Завтраки отличные, заряд на полдня. Единственный минус — отсутствие вешалки или шкафа для верхней одежды. Сушить ее на кровати после дождя совсем не удобно. В остальном все супер.

I didn't stay for long, but just one night for sleeping. Dorm is provided nicely in terms of cleanliness. Good to bring a small lock with you as they might not have a lock for your safe. But even if you forget you can buy from them.

You get what you pay for. If its just a base you need whilst you go out exploring its perfect. Plenty of cheap places to eat close by, plenty to see close by, 2 or 3 places to rent bikes opposite the hostel and free breakfast. If you don't mind the staff not being interested in good service or bed bugs then go for it. I don't think they pretend to have top service but the bed bugs would put me off staying again… although I have to say that ironically I did find the beds very comfortable.

A simple place with things to improve. The cleanliness was good but the bathroom is very small and uncomfortable for a room with 3 bunk beds. Good location Ideal for partiers groups, by step and with adjusted budgets.

The hostel offers beautiful common areas with bar on the ground floor. At Happy Our, the beer is very cheap for Amsterdam.
The rooms themselves, for example, are 4-room rooms in the style of a prison with bunk beds. For teens in order, older adults should look for another hostel if possible. Clean ones, however, are the rooms.
Breakfast is included and is quite good for the price.

It's horrible. Stink. Very small rooms. The bunks don't have a ladder. Small bathroom. It's like a prison.

Perfect for men's holidays without big demands, of course also perfect for women. Rooms kept very simple, even clean.
Breakfast plentiful and delicious. Happy hour has always been used by us, it doesn't get any cheaper in Amsterdam. Location is perfect, you are fast in all directions everywhere. We can't complain about anything, we will book this hostel again next time.

Somebody down here wrote a really good review how simple things like chairs and coat hangers are missing. On top of that a water scrape would help a lot after a shower as the floor gets very easily soaked. Changing taps and toilets would also help a lot as current ones leak and trip and probably waste more water than it would cost to change them. There's also some kind of mold in toilet ceiling. It's good that rooms are cleaned everyday but it should be like that. Food is average. Staff was nice and helpful. For that kind of amount of money the experience should be many times better.

I have to say, the hotel surprised me more than. The clean beds are big enough for 2 and you can spend the evening in the hotel bar.

It is not at all elegant but it is practical, good location and breakfast.

What you pay is what you get. Very nice people are working in hostel. We saw a mice in the dinning room. So… I'm not sure how much the hostel is clean. But overall is good.

One word explains all — bedbug. I understand this is hostel, so I can accept all noises and a little bit not as clean, but beds without bedbug is my bottom line. I got bitten and my leg swell to a point that I can hardly walk, as I am really allergic to their bites… Though the staff is good, breakfast is good, I can only give it 1 star. If I had read the reviews on bedbugs before, I would definitely not book this one.

Awful accommodation, I will never come back, for sure. There is literally only six beds in the room and nothing else. No chairs, no clothes hangers, nothing. And the window can only be opened an inch, which is really not enough when six people are sleeping and breathing in such a small room. The bathroom is in a pretty bad condition, everything is old and worn out. None of this would be so hard to handle had it at least been clean. Sheets looked like they hadn't been changed after the previous tenants. On one bed there was a relatively big blood stain. And, on top of everything, during our stay some construction work was in progress, and they started pretty early, so we weren't able to sleep much.

What to say about the hostel, which itself advertises with the slogan that being the worst hotel in the world? The worst it certainly isn't. The rooms are very small, the bathroom is also small. Breakfast is amazingly good and there is a bar and disco with happy hour. The beverage prices are astonishingly humane. Other than that, everything is very simple. But for one night for the small price already ok. It is located on the edge of the city, tram not far away. Nearby is also a car park where you can park for 20€224h on weekends.

It's definitely a hostel for young people. Although I guess the private rooms should be better? The room was very old and the breakfast was very nice. They were missing plugs. Although he had a private bathroom. Breakfast is very good. The best thing was the location, the attention and the breakfast. The worst: old rooms, lots of noise in the hallways. There is no kitchen available to be able to cook or get a tea.

The price decides. Cleaning every day. Tiny size numbers. The staff is courteous. Breakfast is OK.

The staff is great, the location is great. The breakfast (included) is very good. The beds are good, the shower doesn't have a lot of pressure but does the job. I missed hand towels (there was only toilet paper) and a rug in the bathroom. And they also don't have any hairdryers. Other than that, it's a good place to sleep.

Location is fantastic, staff very young obviously but friendly and competent. Breakfast is included and there is the expected so complete. It was a wonderful experience that has us very amused. We have 56 years but would also recommend it to more "major" than us. There is a lift and Amsterdam is a rarity at these prices and in this position. Close to an oven jam packed and facing a bicycle very convenient and helpful. I recommend it to everyone.

Cheap well located and the bar area is nice on the other hand the cleanliness leaves to be desired the beds are not very solid and the property is rather noisy at night (especially when the room overlooks the inner courtyard)

Well-kept lunch, super nice bar, on the other hand not very clean common toilets and not very insulated walls in the rooms.

Good hostel. Rooms are nice, the bathroom a bit small in the 6 people room. The common space is a great plus — with food and drinks — although it closes around 1, anyway they have an underground bar too. Staff is nice.

Is very small, dirty, very, very noisy and terrible service!

The room was pretty old and little clean, the bathroom small, no room to put your stuff and the breakfast was pretty good.

An indoor bar where prices are quite reasonable. A disco but I didn't get to go there. The all-you-can-eat breakfast. And question price-location is unbeatable, we are really in the center for not much. (I paid 75 euros for the 3 nights, provide deposit of 5 euros for the key)
Don't forget that this is a hostel… ;-)

The best you have is breakfast, from 7:30 to 10:00. There are many choices and variety of food and infusions.
The staff were not very cordial, that is to say, like you weren't paying attention, and from what I saw, it wasn't just me. The first day I arrived I do not know what the inconvenience they had with the machine that makes the key card, but took a lot to deliver them, offering only to wait seated in the bar. When I come back, about five hours later, I get the card but it doesn't work for my door.
It is a cheap place within all and error warns you that they are the best worst hostel so they are warned.

Positive points: Very central good value for money right breakfast has own disco with good atmosphere youthful vibe negative points: antique furniture and small bathroom and without cover no blinds (local mentality)

The hostel is located in a great location. You can easily walk towards most attractions. There is free Wi-Fi and the bar serves a varity of drinks and even has a happy hour. Rooms were basic but kept clean and there were a variety of travelers from around the world at this hostel.

Excellent option of lodging, not if worth what they charge to be hostel, a young atmosphere but with a feeling of hostility, the guys at the reception are a 10, very friendly and attentive. Very clean and safe, good location.

Terrible, Hostel Gljaznyj, in the dining room saw a mouse. In the mattress bedbugs, bitten girl friend. Highly recommended for a visit.

For the money they take everything is OK, the truth in the rooms cold.

Clean … certainly some cleanup and some decent mattress we could stay … but for a trip to the adventure with friends where the place where sleep doesn't matter is just fine.

Me and my brother had a great time staying at this hostel in Amsterdam. Free breakfast is a plus. Staff were very friendly and helpful with advice with where to go around Amsterdam. It has a great location near the bars and nightclubs. The bathroom smelt a little but this wasn’t a problem with us. Overall I’ll stay here again on my next trip to Amsterdam. :)

As you walk to the hostel, just off from the main street, it doesn't look like anything to be amazed about. As you walk into the hallway leading to the reception area the thought continues, but then you turn the opposite direction and find the bar, which is very tastefully decorated in modern art styles, filled with people all enjoying themselves with music playing. My thoughts had changed this should be a decent place. I head down in the evening to find it half full. I enquired as to why it wasn't busy and was told by a helpful patron that there is a nightclub in the basement! Which was playing a decent selection of music to suit all tastes. With a free breakfast and drinks in the mornings I was in my element. I would definitely recommend this one.

Great hotel and great Mestopolodenie. Breakfast was excellent.

The only thing we liked was the location. Otherwise nothing positive, the bathroom smelled bad, the shower was tiny and with a curtain Q did not stop just the water, being so small and share room you could barely dress inside as it was all wet and there was nowhere to support the clothes. My friends were flooded the room by a malfunction with the heating, so they ended up with wet suitcases. The staff, except one guy the others were pretty nasty.

Decent average Poshiba hostel in the centre of Amsterdam. But Strange lockers (remembered childhood "in the camps"-Thank you that at least the key closes), Orushhaja music, because of which it is impossible to sleep until two nights do their job.

Do not stay here. This hostel is complete garbage. I’ve stayed in cheaper hostels that are 10x better. The only good thing about this place is that the staff is nice and the location is good. The rooms are DISGUSTING and the free breakfast is not worth it; flies were flying out of the granola. You definitely get what you pay for here. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra to stay somewhere nicer or even couch surf! I will never ever put myself through this stay ever again.

The worst hostel I've ever stayed at. Hans Brinker knows how terrible it is and is proud of it. The rooms were dirty and cramped. The toilets and showers were broken. The sheets were stained and unwashed. The line to talk to the one person at reception was never less than 5 people long, and you'd often be waiting for over 20 minutes just to get your sheets given to you. Do yourself a favour and don't stay here. You deserve better.

The hostel is in a pretty central area and close to everything. You can reach all the main attractions of the city walking at maximum 30 minutes and if you are not willing to walk there is a tram stop at two minutes. The breakfast is not very rich, but more varied than I could have expected. It is quite clean, bathroom included. The downsides are the very small bathroom which, after the showers is always flooded and the almost impossible to open a window, which turns out to be a problem when the room gets too hot.

First minus point is that I had to wait for half an hour to check in as they handover u number that seem to be working really slow. Beds were bit squeaky and bathroom was too small. Breakfast buffet was really good. Location of this hostel is good, you can walk around and explore lot of things. For 30 euro a night is not bad. Overall it was good stay.

All are buzzing, the eagle, it is possible to fall asleep only in the morning. The doors in the rooms do not close, and Zahlopyvajuttsja so heard on the entire floor.

If you're on budget and looking for a cheap accommodation next to the city centre, that's the place to go. Particularly nice is the bar next to the entrance, my friends and I spent there a really nice Halloween night. Highlight of this place is the breakfast, it is better than the one they may serve you in many hotels. One little problem: there aren't enough toilets — one toilet for a six-bed room. To the owners: please add some common toilets on each floor. Btw the personal is really friendly and helpful.

Housing "Amsterdam" which does not happen, for such a budget of course!

Hostel very decent, a bar not too expensive, clean showers, a nightclub in the basement. Attention to check out, do not go at the last moment the queue can be really long. To rent the bikes go to the shop on the left of the hotel (Mike's bike) and not just ahead.

Hostel is situated in Amsterdam center so everything is on walking distance. Rooms are very simple. There are beds, one chair and toilet. Room was very clean and every day you get clean towels. Food was great and you have disco inside hostel. The best thing in hostel is open terace inside of hostel where you can enjoy your meals or coffee. Only reason for rate 4/5 is that shower was kind of broken and water was everywhere in bathroom after showering.

Oh boy where to start. Had an absolutely miserable stay. Firstly no where was it mentioned that you have to wait until 1pm to check in. This resulted in our group wasting a morning waiting to check in. When we got to our room (a six person room on the top floor) we found that they were very basic, there weren't even ladders to get to the top bunks. Nothing really wrong here, you get what you pay for. Then sat on the beds and found that there was a bed bug infestation going on in the room. Bed bugs where coming out of every nook and cranny of the room. One of our group slept in the room and woke up 2hrs later covered in bed bugs. We killed about 200 of the creatures before we went to get our room exchanged. The staff at the reception desk split the group up and we changed rooms splitting the group up and telling us that they would again change our room the day after (to do this we had to check out and re check in again resulting in us wasting another morning) The staff also told us that they knew that the room was infected, according to them it was treated. I find this hard to believe, the amount of bugs would suggest that the staff simple ignored the problem and rented the room out again. The worse part of it all is the fact that our luggage spent some four hours in the room with the very real possibility that we brought bugs with us home from vacation.

Surprisingly quiet family room in a raucous Leidseplein hotel/hostel. Great breakfast included. The location is great. We were pleasantly surprised. Good value.

Their advertising is really accurate. It is not the best. It is not pretty. Cleaning is done every morning. There are big improvement opportunities, though. Staff was really friendly and attentive, if you approach nicely. There is a free breakfast every morning, there's bar with great happy hours, and a nightclub downstairs. It's in the center of Amsterdam and it is really affordable.

A very recommendable hostel, the service is nice and the receptionists very friendly. The rooms are clean and have a private bathroom. It has a bar on the ground floor where you usually throw parties. Still, from the rooms nothing was heard and I could sleep peacefully.

As a 65 year old I was slightly nervous, having booked before doing any research (probably an age thing) but happily all went well, value for money and staff were so helpful with info on Trams, places and getting to the airport, even printed out our Boarding passes, super place to stay and great position! Would defiantly recommend.

If you are looking for a cheap option that meets the basics this is your wife option. Disco in the basement, good price for drinks and food. Something old the beds but that more you can ask for.

It's a good hostel but not better than it. Only good.
The staff is very very nice! They really help you with whatever you need.
Location is great, probably their best point. Breakfast is very poor and the rooms are kind of dirty (meanly the bathroom).
Security is great: they give you a key for the room and a key for the locker, which is good enough for luggages such as suitcases and backpacks.
The bar is too expensive.
I'd recommend it to a friend with low-budget around Europe, only.
