Nice and clean rooms. Very basic. Lot of stairs. Excellent location.

Pesimas rooms. They sell you in the photo something that is not and are 2 X2 has no elevators so you have to go up the suitcases up the stairs and forget someone you hand Q.

It is well located, but it made me expensive about what it offers.

Room tidy and quite comfortable, however different from the photos of the site, the cleanliness was not the maximum but still acceptable for a 2 star, the staff were nice and helpful.

Wow, this hotel is incredibly bad. There is no elevator so we had to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to our room. At the beginning of the night, someone tried to get into our hotel room. Then, during the middle of the night, some lady was pounding on a door with her fist and her feet. She was doing this for a good 5 minutes before someone came out of their room. Then she just used her fist to pound on the door. It was annoying. They didn't have breakfast to eat as well. For the price, it isn't a good hotel.

I stayed 3 times at this hotel and every stay was very pleasant! The location is very good, it's right in the city centre and there are a lot of shops, cafes and restaurants right around the corner. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to Dam's square and the main shopping street is on the way. The rooms are clean and good compared to other 2 star hotels and the unlimited free coffee, tea and hot chocolate was a nice little extra.

We stayed in two hotels whilst I’m Amsterdam, stayed in another hotel first called the Max Brown Hotel and was a lovely hotel. Felt very welcomed by staff as soon as we walked in, after enjoying our stay very much, we decided to stay longer and book another hotel, the Acostar Hotel, and wow, what a difference. As soon as we walked in, it took 2 minutes of standing in front of the receptionist before she decided to acknowledge us, then got told our room wasn’t ready so had to wait another two hours. Got into the room and it was nothing compared to what it seemed like on the photos. Very dirty, one blind open, one shut and mould in the bathroom. During the morning we were awoken at 8:30 to the sound of drills going off constantly in what sounds like the same room as you. The next day we came in to find that the house keeping did next to no cleaning. The toilet roll wasn’t changed, the blanked got tucked in, but pillows left lying about, one curtain left open again, didn’t put the throw back over the bed and didn’t empty the bin. The next day we came back from an adventure around Amsterdam to find that our hotel room door had been left wide open all day by builders who entered the room to change a few decorations around in the toilet (toilet roll holder, soap and shower gel holders) which we hadn’t been notified about. Checked to make sure all of our belongings were safe because there was no safe in the room so we had to keep our expensive belongings in our bags on the floor.

We had a pleasant stay here in august, the hotel & room was clean, bedding & towels got changed everyday & they gave us extra pillows no problem. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Also they provide free tea & coffee & have a vending machine.

First of all, let me preface that the stay was amazing. Great enjoyable service. Everything is close the area. The only reason why I marked this as a 4 star stay is, the hotel is next to a coffee shop (an Amsterdam coffee shop) that sells marijuana. The whole hotel smells like marijuana due to the proximity of the next door coffee shop. If you're OK with that, and it didn't bother me as much as crew I was traveling with, this place is close to everything!

Very central location, clean and friendly. To note that at reception there is free coffee machine. Against no hairdryer in the room.

Clean and good location Lack of Elevator is a handicap and very small rooms. Even If you go to sleep alone, that's enough. I Deal with the staff of 10!

Small room with twin beds. The walls are very thin and there is no breakfast.
Conveniently located in the city center.
However, ample to sleep, the beds are very comfortable!

Worst hotel of all my life! Little seriousness on the part of all the staff, very poor cleanliness, unwatchable rooms. By the way, at checkout (it had to happen by 11) They called me in the room telling me that if we went out by 12 we would not pay anything. The result? Once out (around 11.50) We were charged equally. In a word? Thieves.

We touched a 5 without elevator, the room was tiny and the stairs to climb to the floor were deadly! Good, no noise, all very clean and centric.

The room was very small, it did not correspond with the photos of its website. We talked to the person who was at reception to change us but told us not to.
As positive there was free coffee and tea machine and location.
But I stress that the photos do not correspond to anything with reality. They are very small, the two suitcases could not be open.

For me 2 ^ flew to Amsterdam.
Great location, this hotel is 7/8 min from Dam Square and is a 15 minute drive from Vondelpark and Rijksmuseum. It is all reachable by tram as the stop is really 2 steps from the hotel but it is worth seeing Amsterdam step by step, the various shops of typical products and not. 24h Reception. It's better to bring a hair dryer since my room wasn't there. Breakfast does not exist, they give free hot drinks from a vending machine. My room was 80% clean too much dust that rolled. You can't smoke because the windows are vasistas up, but the smell of smoke came from the other rooms and we also lit up a couple of cigarettes. Would only recommend for the location.

A few steps from Leidseplein, a two star typical of the centre of Amsterdam. Friendly and helpful person. Good value for money.

Great location… Good staff and rooms.

This has everything you need for a quick get away. The bed is comfy and the shower was lovely. The staff are efficent and made sure we had clean towels every day.

The place is nice, my friend and I enjoyed our stay, the shower was a bit weird.

It's Ok for the money, definitely a 2 star hotel, but a good 2 stars. Can be a little noisy with doors rattling as other doors in the place open. Rooms are small. But if you want a cheap place to sleep, 15 mins walk away from central then you can't do much better with out paying a lot more.

Dirty, tiny bedroom with no class. Unbelievably dirty floors. Old and broken furniture. 'Breakfast' not served before 9 AM (and not in the hotel but somewhere 'close by'). The pictures on the website have nothing to do with the actual rooms. No hot water, only a bit warm. Loud, you could hear everything from outside on the street and from the inside of the hotel. Only positive thing: A friendly guy at the reception. I will definitely NOT go there for another visit.

I hate it wasn't a room it fesait 6 m2, in addition to its a window that does not close the task of I don't know what on the carpet. Traces in the sink. Finally a real calamity. Places like his are not hotels. Disappointed by everything completely!

No lift in case you're not fond of stairs. The room was so tiny, no place to put your suitcases. It was expensive for the quality of it. Won't recommend this to anyone fussed about comfort. If you get the basement room, ask kindly to be put else where. It's like a dungeon there.

The receptionist is really very friendly, we arrived by bike we wanted to put the bikes in front of the hotel since the possibility was the but without even greet the receptionist {a young brunette the most rude receptionists} came out and told us that the bikes it is not possible here to aggressively and then after we asked whether we are at the hotel and then it calmed down when we replied Yes… What a welcome!
In short the room was dirty, spotted, carpets the not clean bathroom, dirty toilet.
The next day we return to the hotel room not made the first night nor the second… It's an extra option?
I recommend this hotel which was dirty and expensive and more for the very low quality of services {45 euros per person! It's the flight! }
Hoping management will read his comments and will improve the situation.
With this book the hotel receptionists were very unfriendly and the room dirty. The ground was dirty as the toilets and the sink. The staff treat you like a piece of hash.
So boycott acostar!

Adventurous! Dirty room, trash not emptied, beds not made. The handrail on the stairs is broken and loose. There is no Elevator and the oblique narrow staircase up to 5. Floor with Luggage is difficult to cope with. Actually, not even 1 star value. No picture on the website originates from this Hotel. We come guaranteed.

Very unfriendly personal. The rooms are nothing like the pictures and even so the shower only had cold water. We were very disappointed and will never stay again there, not for that price though.

Not to be recommended! The hotel rooms are with the photos from the Internet is not to compare. Partially mold and dirt in the rooms. From the shower comes only cold water! The staff was also rude.

And a good hotel is in a great place and clean if I am ever in Amsterdam I would definitely go back here.

I got a double, was small but clean and with a good bathroom. A bit problematic to reach, being on the fourth floor without elevator.
Generally a good low cost hotel.
The blonde girl at the front desk is acidic.

They Charged my card again a month after my trip! You can have guests in your room, You can't have food in your room. Had to leave keycard at FD before leaving.

Decent room for the price. The room was very small (but most are in Amsterdam). The location was pretty good, and the beds were nice.
