The restaurant is excellent, food is great, and dinner is under the stars. The steaks are excellent. The view of the savanna is incredible. It's the best place in the world!

Great place, stunning people!

We had a good experience there mainly with the staff. However, even having booked and paid for a table for the XMas eve almost 2 months in advance, they put us at a pretty bad spot at the very end corner without a view or whatsoever to make matters worse they wanted to charge us again for the kids breakfast that we had already been charged. Our XMas eve ended up being a bit of an awkward experience having to waste more than a few minutes to sort all this out.

Great Lodge, very recommended, Very clean, great rooms, wonderful location, delicious food, nice staff. Happy again.

It's an awesome location in the middle of the desert. Very beautiful. BUT the hotel management is extremely unfriendly, if not rude! Check out is set at 10 am while the guests basically return to the hotel at about midday after the desert sunrise tour as main attraction there. The front desk lady sharply requested us to clear the room NOW (295 USD per night! ) and take a shower by the pool, 40c outside… I cannot recommend the lodge until the management takes sets the client oriented basic standards.

The service was very good, food excellent. Happy people. I was disappointed that there was no liquid soap and lotion in the rooms.

With high expectations about the restaurant with a price tag of 295n$. The setup is a buffet. You will find two distinct areas under the stars in an open area. The atomsphere is amazing with hundreads of diners from all over the world predominately from Germany. The main meal provides for "braai" bbq setup and a noodle/stir fry area. Having being exposed to many types of game already I was keen to try these out again. I tried the gemsbok, zebra & ostrich. Preferring meat medium done my ostrich was charcoal and was so small that it did give ostrich steaks the justice it deserves. It was no where near as tasty as it could be. The side order options were lacking and presented only roast potatoes and some mixed veggies. I was very disappointed with my mains. They did offer borewors which was the worst I have even eaten. Being a South African borewors is one of pur delicacies and they failed miserably. It was bland and basically plain minced meat, rather not offer it as an option if you going to call it borewors, name it namibwors rather.

Great lodge. Excellent food and accommodation. Close to the dunes for an early morning visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stat here.

Brilliant location for getting straight to the dunes. Lodge is excellent with the braai (barbecue) dinner not to be missed. First class staff all extremely helpful.

Expensive — but good! Super Lodge with great dinner and breakfast. A true oasis near the "red hiking dunes" of the Namib. Absolutely see — and worth a life to life!

Great hotel right at the entrance to the park. Wifi only in the bar and in the reception. At dinner there is a wide choice of meats and vegetables that are cooked expressed on request to the grill/plate.

Great place to stay, right at the border to the dunes. Good food, nice restaurant, great view into neighbouring nature and onto the water hole.

One of the most beautiful accommodations in Namibia. Just wonderfully beautiful. All very well maintained, pool clean and cozy. The food just delicious. Very nice staff, very nice rooms. Would go back every time.

Beautiful lodge in the middle of nowhere. Great food and service. Upmarket lodge with lots to do like quad bikes, ballooning, bow and arrow, daily trips in the desert and Sossusvlei heritage site and much more. Quite expensive but the feeling of value for money exist. Beautifully layouts.

Simplicity and sophistication that’s how I would describe this tastefully decorated lodge. Well trained and friendly staff from reception to the dining area as well as at the Adventure Center is worth mentioning. Our assigned guide, Enos, was absolutely wonderful. Staying at this lodge was the highlight of our first trip to Namibia.

Good location! Excellent food! Entrance too Sossusvlei, one of two UNESCO world heritage sites in Namibia. (Not that that says much) but definitely worth a visit!

Very friendly staff, beautifull set up and amazing rooms.

As I stayed in both Sossusvlei Lodge and Dune Lodge in the park, I may compare these two. I would like to say Sossusvlei Lodge is better in most aspects compared to Dune Lodge. Better facilities: there is no air-condition in Dune Lodget，and Sossusvlei Lodge provides comfortable and renovated facilities indoors and outdoors. Way better food options: the dinner is included in Sossusvlei Lodge, and game buffet is impressed. Bar is also good enough considering you are in the middle of nowhere. Staffs are helpful and friendly. I felt more welcomed here than in Dune Lodge. Location is the second best in the desert. It is just outside of the park gate, and 5-10 minutes driving to Dune Lodge. But as you are outside of the park, you have to follow park gate schedule. Compared to Dune Lodge, you have no view in your room.

We were here to rest and have lunch here, slept in a neighboring tent camp and are quite excited about how beautiful this lodge is! Here I want to be another visitor and then stay here! A great lodge with super nice tours, super friendly guides and nice service people. The bar and the souvenir shop as well as the pools are also a delight!

Nice loge with good food and service. Obly downfall it is visited by a lot of obe day tourgroups.

Amazing hotel in the middle of the desert! Very tasty food! The food was very good. The view from the bungalow to the desert is simply unforgettable! Near Sossuvlei and Deadvlei, as well as dunes.

At the top superb housing with shower and bathtub team at the small care we had a really nice time.

What a jewel in the middle of the desert. Buffet is awesome and the staff friendly and well trained. Eating game under the stars was one of our best experiences on the trip. Game meat cuts barbecued as requested and so many choices. Maybe more side dishes can bump the buffet up. We had beakfast as well and all was great. When we are there again, we will not pass by, we will stop over again.

This is the gate way to most beautiful site ever seen. Enjoyed time with my family here.

Always our favourite place to stay in the Sossusvlei area. Comfortable, beautifully appointed chalets. The buffet selection is incredible and the food is always delicious.

… of course you are accommodated here at its best. Very nice bungalows with tent roof and veranda. Huge bathrooms, refrigerator, covered parking and AC available. Dinner is served on a large veranda — with 4 barbecue stations you get everything without a lot of waiting from meat to fish. The breakfast basket (for take away) is terrific — tablecloth, cereal, coffee and co is all there. Picnic at the second parking lot (Sossouvlei — Big Mama) is unforgettable with it. Minus: The surrounding tent camps also come for dinner, no Wi-Fi at the bungalow, very high-priced.

The best outside dinner I have experienced. What a special experience. Its a must.

Loved it… chalet 113… no one in front… excellent staff… great facilities… great food… do splash out on the hot air balloon flight.

A beautiful place with stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere. Food was fantastic and staff very attentive.

The location is perfect for entering the dunes, you are right outside the gate. The "rooms" are excellent, as is the food. The people that work there are very nice. We loved this place!

Service is really good, accommodation great and food absolutely mouthwatering — a wide variety to chose from. The staff are lovely and friendly people, which add to this memorable experience. For personal reasons, I do however prefer another lodge better so it only gets 4 stars from me. :)

We paused at the hotel for lunch, I'd say pretty good.
For travelers remember this hotel is home to the Office
booking helicopter flights, with the field.
Even short flights but highly spectacular, with reasonable prices,
so comfortable, book ahead, have fun.

Best food in the desert. Short drive to the Sossusvlei gate.

Beautiful lodge with a great view and a relaxed vibe. The cabins are comfortable. We had one at the edge of the property which had a stunning view of the area. Amazing sunsets here. They make a huge buffet with various cooking stations for dinner. It's possible to order all sorts of exotic meats if you like, but there's something for everyone. Proximity to the park is a plus.

A beautiful facility with excellent food in a beautiful landscape. Only the very weak W-Lan is not the state of the time.

Pricey, but very good food.

If you get already not overnight in the Sossusvlei this right is the first address at the park entrance. Dinner on the open terrace with the wild animals right over it is an unforgettable experience. The kitchen team prepares every possible meat in the meantime on the grill. Namibia at its best.
