Staying at the Epacha Game Lodge and Spa near the Etosha National Park was one of the most amazing parts of our holiday in Namibia.
The lodges are absolutely amazing and are completely overshadowed by the staff who are exceptional. The managers were truly wonderful in making us welcome and it was one of the highlights of our holiday in Africa. I want to say a big thanks to all of the team at Epasha, we had the most wonderful stay and we highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a mix of relaxation by the pool and also the chance to see the wonderful animals at the nearby Etosha National Park. Epasha has a number of animals at the reserve too and how amazing to see Santiago the Giraffe outside our lodge. We highly recommend the days trips offered. The are good value for money. The food was delicious each evening and the menu really creative. We did the one day tour to the national park and also the sunset tour, which was so stunning. All the drivers were very professional and exceptionally friendly. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful time here. Fantastic views, even from the pool. Top class service, good food and enjoyed the massage.
There are antelope and giraffes (no predators) near the lodge, but my advice is to do the game spotting at Etosha and simply enjoy the luxurious surroundings as you relax at Epacha.

Wonderful
Situated 39 km from the Etosha National Park, Eagle Tented Lodge & Spa is located 97 km from Outjo. The lodge boasts a restaurant, bar and outdoor swimming pool which is surrounded by a lush bush.
We had high hopes for Epacha based on the website and description of the facilities provided — it managed to disappoint on every level. We were two families travelling round Namibia independently and we were looking forward to a comfortable stay on Epacha's private reserve — Epacha didn't meet any of our expectations. The decor for this place is 1970s hunting lodge, out of step with modern day conservation and wildlife norms and nothing else seems to have been updated since — Zebra skin chairs with the mane down the middle of the seat were frankly just grim. The chalets are up the hill from the main building — they do provide golf buggies to take you up there, but they often have flat batteries which defeats the purposes — once in your chalet, there is no intercom or phone to get any service and there is no mobile reception or Wi-Fi either — room service does not exist! The kitchen is extremely average — lunch service if you're not on safari is a disaster, very slow, missed orders, poor quality — the set menu for dinner is eclectic at best and the kitchen needs to lower expectations to a level the chef can match. The pool deck is filthy, black feet all round and no service from the bar for drinks despite the waiter looking bored behind the counter all day.
