This was a perfect spot to access the beach and enjoy a wonderful lunch. The meal was absolutely incredible and the staff was so attentive and kind. I highly recommend.

It’s a beautiful and magical “adult treehouse” vibe…staff is so friendly, food is delicious and drinks are amazing! Downside is that it is RIGHt next to Taboo beach club. So, if you don’t like listening to extremely LOUD and obnoxious house music from noon until 2am, this is not the place for you. It’s a little disappointing, because it’s such a relaxing spot, but you can’t even take a siesta in peace.

Great spot on the beach friendly people I ll definitely come back and bring friends.

I loved Cabanas La Luna. The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere tranquil. Absolutely loved the look of the place and the decoration. The grounds are very well maintained and they do a great job cleaning the room each day. Food is fantastic but pricey, which is to be expected from beachfront restaurants. I recommend the Mexican coffee, margaritas, ceviche, bruschetta, and breakfast chilequiles. On our way in, we kept in touch with the hotel staff through Facebook messenger and they were more than accommodating when our flight was delayed and we wouldn’t make it in before midnight. They had security waiting for us and also made sure we had food in our room, since the restaurant would be closed when we got there and we were starving. The manager on site is Dexter and he was so helpful with suggesting local things to see and do. I especially enjoyed the beach swings and the pool. I would love to return someday and bring the whole family.

It's a beautiful place. Picture perfect waters. The restauranteur amazing the food and the people so friendly. A must go to destination.

Best vacation of our lives! My fiancée and I came here for a week in July. We stayed in Casa Blanca, which was absolutely amazing. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room offers air conditioning at night, which is rare in Tulum. The team here is INCREDIBLE. They are so friendly and will take care of your every need with a smile. The food at the restaurant Las Estrellas is so delicious, and we enjoyed breakfast here every morning. Also the Mexican coffee is out of this world! We were choosing between 3 hotels in Tulum, and we are so thankful we chose La Luna. We visited the other hotels for lunch, which were both nice, but La Luna’s vibe was exactly what we wanted. It was cozy, intimate, and immersed in nature, but not snobby at all like some of the other places we visited. We will definitely be staying again!

I've never left a review for a hotel before because usually they're more or less the same. This was different. This hotel gave you a real Mexican feel without compromising on the comfort or service you'd prefer while on vacation. During the time we were there, seaweed washed up on the beach and Cabana La Luna was the FIRST hotel on the beach to remove it all (and this was not an easy task). Between the perfectly quaint rooms, amazing beach, stellar customer service and everything in between I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who asks.

I have fallen in love with Tulum… hippy but not too, chic but not too. Specifically I cannot say enough about the lovely and accommodating Cabanas La Luna, nicely appointed but not too fussy like this big resorts. This is truly the place power down and relax! Four of us comfortably shared the Jungle Penthouse and despite much talk about all that we would do while there we were most content just to stay put and chill on the beach while the charming Nero and Jorge (waiters) anticipated our every need. The vibe is calm and casual, the food is wonderful and the staff is simply amazing. I highly recommend Cabanas La Luna to anyone looking just to get away from it all! Be sure to keep an eye on Sancho, the resident beach donkey or you'll lose a shoe! He's sweet and friendly but likes to roam among the guests, steal whatever he can get ahold of and hold it in front of your face until you give him something to eat. It's all good fun though and I'm already planning my return!

The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. Their bungalows are beautifully rustic, unique, and comfortable, exactly what I was expecting in Tulum. They have large fresh water jugs in the rooms for you to fill your own water bottle with. Their beach area was clean and directly in front of the resort. It was truly a relaxing experience.

We went to eat and had no letter, the waiter wrote a command the menu and extremely inflated prices. Three shrimp and a little guacamole 250 pesos a salad of lettuce and onion 300 pesos. We also asked for an invoice and they didn't want to give it to us. I understand it's Tulum, but I've been going to that place for four years, and I don't know if they changed management, but I thought it was quiet.

Lovely boutique hotel, on an amazing beach! Friendly staff, and beautifully unique rooms.

We took over the whole complex for a wedding and had an amazing time at La Luna.
The service was outstanding and so was the food served at the restaurant. The people who work there really made the difference. We all became friends.
As for the accommodations. The rooms are all unique and rustic and lent to the "jungle" experience.
So many choices to choose in Tulum but this was tops in our book. We can't wait to return.

We had a fantastic 10 night stay here. The beach was gorgeous and we saw baby turtles hatching. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds really comfortable. Thank you Cabanas la Luna.

We stayed at Cabanas La Luna in March/April 2017. It was amazing. We have stayed at many places on the Tulum beach and always have had great experiences. This place, though, checked off all of the features we love for a relaxing, fun vacation. Miquel (front desk) was very warm and friendly. The wait staff were excellent. The room cleaners and beach cleaners really worked hard and did a great job. We loved having lunch and drinks on the beach. We also ate dinner there a few times. The food was always delicious. We appreciated being able to run a tab throughout our whole stay. Our cabana, Robinson Crusoe, was small but very cute. We used the outside sitting area a lot. We also enjoyed the fresh water tank in our room. The room stayed cool with the fans and shady palms. We plan on going back next March.

Beautiful beach and friendly staff make the Cabañas la luna a wonderful place to visit. We had a coupon to enjoy the beach club from our hotel in downtown Tulum and had a great time swimming the ocean. They have an upscale menu and full bar with friendly people eager to serve! $25 usd minimum for a menu item.

Food was excellent. View was amazing. Refreshing breeze off of the ocean. Water was turquoise.

We only used the restaurant/beach. Great service, simple but well made dishes. I was working from the restaurant on my laptop several times. Wifi is good and there are outlets. Queen size sunbeds and umbrellas free if you consume there.

Very good hotel, I recommend it. Seaview, 10 minutes from Tulum, good service and an accessible place.

I am sorry but 250 USD for 1 night quoted to us onsite right in our faces for a wooden cabaña are outrages! Go drive way further south to the town of Mahahual for example and get a beach cabaña for a realistic 28 USD/night. Oh, and when they tell you at La Luna (as well as at all the other places left and right) that it is because of the high cost of running a place in a nature reserve than double check with yourself if you really want to support a diesel generator run "eco-tourism".

Com Booked this hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around… Great value, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful when giving information or booking trips in and around Tulum. Stayed for a week and the rooms are pretty and inexpensive compared to many of the super luxe hotels in Tulum Hotelera. Includes breakfast in room prices. My only niggle was the feeling that the food was not the best, but that's only a statement to the exceptional quality you can find all around Tulum, especially when it comes to seafood.

We stayed for 1 week at the end of Nov. — beginning of Dec. 2014 in 2 cabanas, Robinson Crusoe and Christopher Columbus. They are the 2 smallest yet closest to the water cabanas. Each cabana had a wrap-around front porch with rustic table & chairs and hammocks to loll about in. Inside, the beds were enclosed in mosquito netting and had a ceiling fan mounted above. The front door and below the windows have screened vents which let the ocean breezes inside. We used the provided (portable/oscillating) electrical fan only after our showers. Along the grounds are cement basins filled with water to rinse the sand from your feet and there is also an outdoor shower to rinse off from the beach or surf. Not familiar with filtered saltwater for bathing, we were pleasantly surprised to find there was no stickiness and La Luna has excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water, amenities we really appreciated. Mosquitoes weren't a problem for us as long as we remembered to spray our feet and legs out on the porch and also across the threshold space at the bottom of the front door. Only when we got lazy did we get bitten. If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked this hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around… The Las Estrellas restaurant on site was delicious, so ate most meals there. There is something on their menu for everyone and between 3 adults, we sampled all we could.
