Great hotel between the patio and the beach of finds the rooms in small buildings in the middle of incredible vegetation and animals. Awesome.

Overall wonderful experience! Daniel was very helpful at guest services, Georgenia, Paulina, Jonny were all fun and did great on the happiness/entertainment team. I enjoyed aqua gym class everyday. The view and beach were beautiful and quiet (till the weekend which was a little more busy). The servers were great and the food was yummy! We had excellent housekeeping as well! We were given a shoutout at Rakua dinner for our anniversary which was special and a sign was put on our door. The only downside was it isn’t very pregnancy friendly. I was told I couldn’t use the kayak or go on the catermeran or get a massage! So that was a huge bummer! But thankfully I found a wonderful massage down the beach. Overall though we had a nice experience and wouldn’t mind coming back!

Me and my husband went for my birthday 🎉 and had a very relaxing time. We booked with the Exclusive travelers club, they have the best customer service. Specially thanks to everyone that works with travel club they are always willing to help. Everyone there was always smiling 🙂 they made us feel like we were home. Most of them spoke english so it was easy to order food etc.

My wife and I spent this past weekend at Catalonia Royal and had a wonderful time. The hotel is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and engaging. The entertainment staff of Johny, Anna, Diego and the others do a great job keeping guests engaged and having fun. They work like 14 hours every day. High 5’s to them 👍. The staff at the Buffett Quetzabel, Yenny, Candy and others are all fantastic. The housekeeping staff also very good. All n all a great relaxing weekend. Muchas gracias Catalonia!

Catalonia Royal Tulum is exactly what my wife and I needed! Relaxing, beautiful scenery, kind people, very clean, delicious tacos, coffee, and margaritas. It’s not a place for “bells and whistles”; rather it is simply a wonderful oasis. They do push the “Exclusive Traveler’s Club” which is odd because it’s unnecessary, really. They aren’t Zoetry/Secrets/Dreams. They are what they are which is a wonderful adults only oasis and we will be coming back!

This place has been absolutely amazing. Beach is perfect for a day of waves and rays. Pool is perfect for a soak and some sun. Drinks are made to perfection, food is tasty and service is 100% on point. Atmosphere is perfect for some needed R & R. Will definitely be back and will recommend this resort. Love, love, love this place. ps. Eugenia at guest services came thru on all requests. She does her job with such kindness and caring! She is outstanding give her a raise!

The experience was great. Highly recommended the place if you are looking to enjoy the sun, beach, good food and treatment of the staff (especially the team of butlers Dulce, Lenis, Gilberto and Alejandro) for their excellent attention and charisma.

This is a great place to stay! Only thing I will say if you are a coffee drinker there is no coffee before 7:30 am anywhere to find in the whole hotel! For me it was very inconvenient.

Great all inclusive, adult only place to stay. Food at B loved restaurant is fantastic and worth the upgrade to Prestige at arrival. Has a dinner show which is open to visitors and discounted to guests staying at the hotel.

The service is very good; the fact that most of their restaurants are a la carte helps a lot. Prices within the hotel on certain items and souvenirs is accessible (Far below other hotels/sites), including a la carte wines. Its rooms are spacious and have what is offered. The only detail I found was a leak inside the bathroom, which as the days went bigger and more noticeable, it would be nice to pay attention to these points, which while they do not limit your stay, are not comfortable and / or pleasant.

The hotel is stunning, the food is at the highest level, the beach is beautiful but the seaweed is not always cleaned, there is an evening and day time program. The city can be reached by bus.

This is our 3rd visit and I cannot tell you how wonderful this resort is!
The surroundings are beautiful but the thing that stands out most of all for us is the staff, to say they are pleasant and helpful is an understatement.

We can’t thank or be grateful enough for all the amazing staff that works there. The beautiful stone walk with the jungle outlook and Coati’s and iguana’s to the beautiful pool and amazing beach. Getting married here was the best choice we ever made and we are so grateful for Ita Gelada. The best wedding planner we were appointed with being so responsive and attentive and as sweet as can be. I promise she is who you want to plan your wedding. Beautiful memories were made here and this place will always have a special spot in my heart. Until we meet again…

The resort is beautiful and clean, and the drinks/food are mostly great, but I would not recommend this resort for a honeymoon. Each entity of our "honeymoon package" was either completely ruined or took several times to get it right & even then, we were blamed for any of the problems. Our honeymoon was not what it should have been, when it wouldn't have taken much consideration to do so. We paid for the package and it was not delivered. Not only that, but we had staff walk into our room without knocking at 10:30pm one night (guests services never apologized, said it was "just a mistake"). Our A/C didn't work and even after 3 complaints, it was not fixed, nor did they move us to another room. Our romantic dinner on the beach was ruined when we waited over 40 minutes for a main course they hadn't even began to cook. The staff had NO conflict resolution and offered nothing to appease us for the entirety of our stay. Guest services was supposed to reach out to discuss all of the issues and has yet to do so.

Very nice and well run property. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are 7 restaurants and 2 bars where you eat well. There is a huge swimming pool and the Caribbean Sea with very fine white sand. From mid-May the rainy season begins, it does not affect the heat but there could be momentary showers and the sky mostly covered. There is also a very useful ATM In the facility. We started with Veratour. All perfect.

My husband and I stayed at this honeymoon resort in September 2017. We really enjoyed the fact that the various constructions integrate perfectly in the midst of the vegetation, the fantastic beach, the staff of the very kind place, the good food (especially the Mexican and the breakfast). Only sore note: The room we were given on the first day was just under an entire floor under renovation, so site noise from early morning until 6pm. Of course we asked to stay in another room, which we were given right away, however from a 5 star resort I would have expected the closure of that part of the building. It is not thinkable to arrange the guests under a construction site.

Very nice hotel. Here you put a lot of effort into offering good service in a beautiful complex. There are also animals such as nasal bears in the facility. The rooms are very large and well maintained. You have a very wide range of restaurants and can eat and drink at any time. There are also programs for entertainment, but they are not really intrusive.
Unfortunately, (especially American tourists) reserve loungers by the pool, which is not allowed, so that you have to pick up an employee to clear the lounger if necessary.
There are no children, it is an adult hotel, preferred for couples (also many honeymoons are made there).
With the weather (rain) and the sea (algae) we were unfortunately out of luck, but this can hit you everywhere.

Beach for 3 years always full of seaweed, mediocre restaurants, do everything but good nothing. Ants in the bathroom without the managers having found a solution to eradicate them. When it rains disorganized, water that seeps in the bathroom from the wall, corridors flooded without anyone to dry. Buildings without elevators. If you don't tip, they seem to be doing their job. Poor animation under all points of view, pity for those 2 or 3 that bring us commitment. Service in the pool annoying, I asked for help for 2 chairs to move and the manager did not know who to help me. Maintenance of the main restaurant resulting in discomfort for customers. Avoid the spa, sauna, steam bath and whirlpool are not up to par. For what it costs, too, offers very little and poor quality, considering the beach and the sea full of seaweed to avoid absolutely.

Just returned from our 7th stay at the Catalonia Royal Tulum and have already started planning for our next visit. Food, Accommodations, Staff, Beach, pool and fellow guests all made for another fantastic getaway. Don't change a thing. Walking the paths to the pool and dining areas are very much a part of what makes your resort special. In talking to other guests we realized that there are many of us who look forward to coming back and have done so several times. Two couples from our area have decided to go to the resort this fall.

Beautiful resort nestled in the jungle, there are so many coati, very nice animals that make the path to the beach very entertaining.
Various restaurants to choose from where to eat and various day trips to do really very nice.
Very nice beach of Isla Contoy. Chichen Itza and the ruins of Tulum are a must see.

Although equipped with every service and comfort is totally immersed in the lush nature of the jungle with wildlife attached. Very good restaurants and excellent Spa… You feel constantly pampered and you can really relax without having to think about anything else!

This resortis amazing! You will always have a great time. The rooms are very welcoming, beds are very comfortable, they even have a pillow menu with 6 options. You have about 8 restaurants to choose from and they are a delicious. I have secresecrets and love liked buffet food until I came here, they care about their service. The pool area is huge and right before the beach, so even if you don't want to sit in the beach you can still see it. The beach were on is very private. I have been here twice now for 2 weeks each time, and will be back again!

You can't say much about the hotel complex.
The food was good to very good. In particular the steakhouse was absolutely top. Also the Italian. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Less beautiful, but the hotel can do nothing, was the washed up seaweed. This has eliminated the staff though it was an almost pointless fight. The cleanliness of the grounds was exemplary. However, you have to be aware that the rooms are very dark, especially on the ground floor. The plant is built in the forest. It could have been a really nice holiday.
To have a quiet house we had chosen this adult hotel.
However, one should not underestimate the Americans making more Radau than a complete kindergarten.
Let's go by the pool if you would like to have a couch under a parasol (which is clearly too few) you should book at 7:00 pm at the latest. From about 10:00 o'clock the Americans then vorgeglüht to the extent that they hear it clearly over the entire Anlge. Then you go to the pool with drinks and cigarettes.
At night it is loudly disskutiert in front of the rooms and if you are lucky you will try to drum up the door because he is looking for his wife.

The food just is excellent. The beach is superb on the other hand there are algae. At the pool there may be a few sun loungers. Very nice stay thank you very much Catalonia.

Beautiful place. Good food with multiple restaurants. Beach was nice but too much seaweed. Property workers were kept busy trying to clean it constantly.

We loved this hotel all inclusive. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. They have minibar and safe. From the balcony you can see the access road to the beach and take a break before dinner. There are several restaurants specializing in different regional meals such as Thai, Mexican, Italian, international. The restaurant closest to the beach, of the type buffet, has very varied food and of very good quality. The beach is beautiful, with lounge chairs for lounging and sunbathing. They also lend you equipment to make snorkeling and kayak. In short a place to enjoy a very good holiday!

Everyone here is so nice! It was great for my honeymoon. Nighttime music and events. Bartenders are attentive and fast. A smile on every face. Food is great. All preference. Some food we didn't love but nothing was bad. The Asian restaurant, the steakhouse and the breakfast was great. So much happiness! So many hard workers with smiles all day. Much love Mexico!

We stayed at this resort about 8 months ago and it was all perfect… The property has 5 refreshed (Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Thai and Grill) and I can assicurrare that they are all yummy, if I have to find a mole is the fact that it is Away from centers like Playa del Carmen or Cancun… so I sconsiglieri to those who want to make a holiday in the name of nightlife… remember that they do not accept children so only + 18 to not disturb the guests of the village.

Excellent hotel for adults with a spectacular beach, the centers of consumption have a great variety of dishes, the rooms are of very good size and with all the necessary services. At night they have the Rauxa show that is up to par with the best shows with an exquisite dinner. Recommended 100%

Wonderful hotel! The activities excrusion staff try to sell you on things. Beach is clean, restaurants had great food options and the best customer service. Beach/pool side service was great too. Water was clear and warm. Surf was low. Had cute little cottis all over. They don't bother you unless you feed them which you're not supposed to do (people did it all the time anyways). Had live music in the afternoons, good drink selection. The distance from the hotels to the pool and beach isn't as far as it looks on the map. Short walk (3-5) minutes and is nicely lit up at night with changing colors.

We had great fun spending our time here. The room was clean and big (we did upgrade to privileged) and the restaurants were nice too. They have decent option for vegetarians/vegans. However, the Chef from these restaurants are willing to prepare something special for you which is very good. Shout out to the Chef of Beloved Restaurant who prepared a special breakfast for us after learning about our dietary limitations. I do have one complaint though. Because we upgraded to privileged service, we had an option to use one of the beds at the beach in the privileged area instead of beach chairs. However, they only have 4 beds and we observed that the same group of people would come in early in the morning and use these beds for pretty much all day. So, we never got to use those. They should have some way to limit the amount of time an individual can use the beds to make it fair for other people who pay for the upgrade. Overall, this place is fairly good. The staff was really nice and kind and the resort is about 25 minutes from Playa. I wouldn’t mind going back to this resort again!

Great place to spend a vacation. No children are allowed. I like kids, just not here. Food is better than other all inclusives. Water is beautiful and staff is mostly very attentive. I would come back.

Currently staying at the property. Room is nice, beach is good. That's about where it ends. You need to you sign up for the exclusive club or you are pretty much ignored unless you are tipping every employee you come in contact with. Service in the restaraunts appears unbiased but the food isn't that good and drinks are pretty bad. We've stayed at other all inclusive properties with upgrades and its fine. You just get something extra. Here you are made to feel second class for not upgrading. Seriously, if you dont have the exclusive wristband the waitresses working the beach wont even pick up your empty drink glasses. We walked 500 yards down the beach for the day and have been treated like we expect, much better service, outstanding food and real drinks. They'll get the tip they deserve and we won't be back to Catalonia.

I loved the RAUXA show! … I highly recommend it… dance, music, costumes, the plot… had heard bad comments from some people… important to be a broad mind to enjoy and understand. Very rich dinner… the ingredients feel fresh, good taste and presentation.

A resort with a capital R. Staying here is really a unique experience. Immersed in nature, services and high-level staff, white and spotless Beach, splendid sea. Swimming pool, gym, spa, seven restaurants, everything but all inclusive, also room service h24hr. A real Paradise.

Nice facility on which you hardly see people, because the houses are separated by a "boy". It is only possible to meet other guests at the pool or the beach or in the various restaurants. We were in House 3 which is located right in the middle. The room was quite spacious and we really liked it. Only the storage space is a little short if you have luggage for two weeks. The beach is a dream. White sand and turquoise water, as you can imagine in the Caribbean. We also loved the food we offered.

Unique design, great beach and service level. Hard to find any deficiencies. And of course my favourite BLoved restaurant.

Very well so you want to just rest. And sunbathing. There are excursions to the Mayan ruins and to cenotes that are very well.

There are as many as seven restaurants to spend the evening. Animation of the veratour of good quality. Too bad for drinks not right at the top.

We are now the first day here and it is all perfect, never have we had such a service, all are friendly the rooms are clean. At the reception was also asked where we would like our room (i. E. In which floor) and whether we want separate beds (I travel with my sister). The mini bar is always full up to the top with all kinds of Snaks and drinks included in the all inclusive package. The food is super tasty and for everyone there is something, especially from breakfast we are surprised. The sea and the beach are clean, on the beach you are served with drinks or you can go for yourself just a few steps behind the reclining smoothie bar to get a self-pressed 100% natural juice. The only thing you need to know is that the guests are mainly Italian (at least even) which doesn't bother you any more. The dinner is very posh in the Italian restaurant, you are courted by the waiters and every wish is read by the eyes. Animated is a lot but if you don't feel like it, the animators will leave you alone. Around a super-nice hotel maybe even more suitable for couples.

Very good service. The products offered are very good quality. The state of the furniture too. We were staying in room 2205. Contact with nature is very important. It has a cenote in the complex.

Great food, very nice rooms and surroundings but very crowded beach and too much animation. In addition, the beach rest is disturbed every day by building works of weddings or beach dinners. One holiday here is enough! Also be sure to book "Privileged"!

I am currently on honeymoon and very very good treatment and exceptional quality… amazing Beach… the food is the same… In general all the restaurants waiters and all the hotel staff you don't need to say one thing when you already have it… they come to leave you the pool towels par To the next day and you open up to the bed… I will repeat sure are totally for tourism.

Loved staying at this resort! The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the resort was very clean. We spent most of our days at the pool and a few by the beach. We paid the extra money to stay in a privileged room so we had access to the BLoved restaurant and a larger liquor selection which I thought was worth the price of the upgrade. However, most people we met on our trip did not upgrade and they did not have any less of an enjoyable time then we did. They have activities that you can participate in during the day and then shows and activities at night which were fun. Overall we had an amazing vacation and look forward to visiting again.

I am a travel agent and have recommended this village numerous times. It has a great location, the Veratour management is nothing short of exceptional for both the entertainment, but also for the catering and cleaning.

Magical place, full of relaxation and fun. Crystal clear sea and white sand but there are red algae that are raked every morning. Courtesy and kindness of every staff member. I would definitely go back.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon last week and it was amazing! The food was all very good and here was a lot to choose from! We even had two dinners some nights so we could try everything! The staff was very friendly and kind. We attended the Rauxa show and we were blown away with the show and the food was the best we had on our trip. The beach was beautiful and the pool was also very nice. We were upgraded since we were on our honeymoon and the room was inviting and pleasantly air conditioned! The drinks were really tasty and the bar tenders were fun! The juice bar on the beach was my husbands favorite place to be, fresh juice made right in front of you! We cant say enough good things and we cant wait to come back!

There wasn't a time that I didn't feel taken care of. The staff was great and the food was pretty good. The bar in the lobby made the best drinks. At the other resort bars ask for doubles. The only small issue we had was with the currency exchange person on site. She was pretty bad and was around 16% fee.

Excellent Relaxing Getaway My wife planned this trip to celebrate my 40th birthday. We have small kids so we were looking for something where all we had to do was relax. We are from FL so we've seen many beaches and we have traveled quite a bit, so I was surprised when the beach ended up being one of our top favorites. Everything from the food, staff, drinks, to beautiful beach was wonderful. We loved our upgrade to privileged, even if just to include the Beloved restaurant. That was our favorite spot.

I visited this adults-only resort with my wife. We stayed a week and had a great time. The staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. The food was middling to very good. The steakhouse stood out. The beach was also lovely. The sales pitch for the travel club was extremely reasonable and borderline pleasant.

I have been here for 48 hours. Every hotel employee has asked how I am doing and if everything is perfect. The food is wonderful, and you have many options. Room service leaves something to be desired but it is an option. The pool and ocean area is very clean. I will continue to enjoy my time here.

We love the location. It's a smaller resort set in the middle of the jungle, with a jungle like environment within the hotel boundary itself. The rooms are very nice; beautiful stone throughout and very nice hardware in the bathroom. I'm 6'4" and my feet hang off the bed, so I wish the beds were a little longer, but they are comfortable. Room service is great, but the food selection is very limited. Food selection in the restaurants is great and the food is excellent. All the staff are very friendly and will say hi when you come across them. I don't get that feeling that everyone wants to go out of their way to serve you, but they're all very helpful and do everything with a smile. I was told the supervisors at this hotel treat their workers with respect, so the workers tend to be happy. That seems to be the truth here. Overall, the hotel is great! We get good pricing through expedia and the place is all inclusive, which we like. This place gets good reviews for a reason.

Perfect to relax between sea and pool. Nice people and food of all kinds. Great service. Spotless and romantic. But I wouldn't do more than a week. I would go back at all times!

He has fulfilled every expectation for our honeymoon.
I was impressed by the cleanliness, the animation and the care in every detail but even more the cheerfulness and professionalism of the village cleaners and rooms, always smiling and friendly both early in the morning and the late night.
Walking around the resort you can find face to face with some typical animal of the place, at the beginning we were a little perplexed, after already a few hours I assure you that we were hoping to find them on our way.
Note: One day I forgot the open safe with an important sum of money on the bed, at the return I found the room made and the money placed in the safe with a sign to go urgently in the direction. They explained the situation to me and they told me to check, I assure you there was not even a penny left!

Decent food, average rooms, great beach, and most of the staff is awesome (a few disinterested, but big minority). I had a great 9 days. Free and fast Wi-Fi throughout. No pool bar or beach bar, but great wait staff and there is a bar is closer to the pool. Never a wait at the restaurants. Entertainment staff worked hard, but often confusing as the posted activities didn't often match the actual activities. It's a bit quiet during the day/night as they rarely have music. Would be nice to have an area with music and a bit more fun as it's big enough to do this while maintaining a quiet area. Same with the night life, sometimes, unclear planning leaves very few people attending that night's event. So on some occasions, it gets a bit boring with small crowds. Plus, after the events are over, instead of keeping the music playing, they often pack up leaving everyone to scatter back to their rooms. Lots of Europeans, so it's not just Canadians and Americans like other resorts, if that at all matters to you.

Very Clean Resort, not a speck of dirt anywhere, food was awesome, fresh and delicious, you do not have to make reservations and the wait was only about 5 minutes at the most. The property is very beautiful, the landscaping is breathtaking, the drinks so delicious, fresh towels at bathrooms, small details are not overlooked. We got the upgrade and it was worth every penny for these reasons: You get to stay on a less crowded beach side, you get vip drink service and can order lunch right to your lounge chair on the beach the other side is very very crowded, people laid on top of each other like sardines, very long wait when you ordered a drink. You also have a exclusive organic restaurant and bar on the privileged side where the food is just out of this world and exclusive bar with top of the line liquor. The MEXICAN EMPLOYEES give outstanding customer service as the Italian team that is to only entertain the Italian guests are very IGNORANT AND ANTI AMERICAN. For this reason we decided to not buy the Traveler's Club at the resort perhaps, when this improves or is completely illuminated we will buy. Here is what we witnessed from the Italian Entertainment Crew: We were there for 9 days and for 9 days we were never greeted or even smiled a, t we were completely ignored and once pushed out of the way at a bar at night.

When you pull up, you might be slightly concerned at your choice of all inclusives. However, the moment you pull through the gates and see the welcome area, you know you've arrived somewhere special. The room was excellent. Very spacious, comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. The amenities were fantastic. Breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, and 4 different restaurants for dinner choices, depending on your mood. There is also a snack area to fill that in between meal later on in the afternoon. One main bar and one pool, with a private beach access including kayaking, snorkeling, and beach volleyball. There are pop up swim aerobics classes along with some special meals prepared on the beach. The resort is perfect for a 4-6 night getaway without breaking the bank. Highly recommend and would definitely return. Also, special shout out to Condrado, a personal concierge there. He was extremely helpful in tending to our needs and questions upon our arrival in addition to helping us get to playa del carmen for an afternoon trip. I would NOT recommend being pulled into the "free upgraded lunch" / sales pitch nor recommend paying the extra fee for "upgraded" privileges. It is not worth it. The standard amenities are perfectly fine.

The 7 days that we were in this resort treated us like kings. The service, the food, the activities, the evening shows, all flawless!

Good food and drinks. Natural juices and smoothies. Up grade to privileged to enjoy all the benefits. Coatis and toloks by all sides. They clean the beach every day. There is a cenote that you can see while you're in one of the restaurants. This is very close to many tourist sites like Akumal and Tulum.

Excellent. It's not a huge resort, it is more comfortable. Their themed restaurants are excellent and note the hand of a Spanish chef. The animation is non-invasive and manage to entertain the customers. Evening shows entertaining. Good beach, with few people around. Recommended 100%

We went to the CRT from May 24th to 31st and we are very disappointed.
The beach is super beautiful, the sand like flour so much that the sand is fine.
The staff are very courteous.
There is an obvious lack of food. In the buffet it's always the same things. There was a lack of everything several times. A few customers have gone nuts because there was almost never bacon. The baked beans tasted the water.
Hot meals… must be said quickly.
The coffee machine at the buffet was always broken. When we had a server intentionally, he would fetch the coffee at the bar adjoining the reception otherwise we were told to go and get him there!
In the toilets we are provided with well-rolled washcloths for our use and on several occasions we saw the housekeeper empty the basket of dirty towels take them and fold them to roll them (and put them back for Another use on the counter). For me hygiene is paramount. I filed a verbal complaint and they did not want to take my complaint other than written the first time I went to the reception desk. When I settled my exit I had the opportunity to talk again with another supervisor for the interview and she had to see to correct the whole thing!
There is only one pool, on the one hand people play handball and on the other side it is activities, dancing in the water, exercises and others. So if you want to bathe in peace, this is not the ideal place.
