Reviews of Now Emerald Cancun 4*
Excellent service and treatment of all the staff, the amazing place and the wonderful sea view.
I’d rate this about a 7 out of 10it’s definitely a little outdated and the food at some of the restaurants were good and bad but overall I’d say good in some areas it just depends on what restaurant you go to in my opinion. My first vacation to cancun and in general I did enjoy myself only complaint is my wife was sick most of the time we were and they didn’t really accommodate or have anything to help her out to feel better (she had accidentally used the water to brush her teeth on the first day we were here so not really there fault) but for young couples like us trying to save a few bucks it was a great experience! The beaches are nice and the pools were great! And the staff were accommodating and excellent! Just wish there were most chairs to enjoy by the pool and ocean. Overall it was a great vacation and I’d probably come again.
They don’t care for you. Water bottles not even cold when you arrive. They don’t respect what they tell you and Alex by the pool is not to be trusted. He saves most of the loungers and gives them to who he wants. Wait time to eat is crazy.
Fabulous staff and Entertainment Crew. Everyone is professional, enthusiastic and friendly and makes every effort to make your stay enjoyable. Victor and his crew did an amazing job each day with entertainment. Rooms were spacious and clean. Food tasted great and entertainment had lots of variety. Enjoyed our stay!
Overall good experience, but it could have been better. Staff was nice and friendly. Waiting for food 🍱 took forever. Some restaurants were nice, the buffet was ok, same food everyday. It was hard to find a chair at pool, they were reserved in morning and couldn’t get one later. Our room flooded once, the pipe burst it in hallway and water came in our room, thankfully I had nothing on floor. They came quickly and cleaned and apologized 5 am in morning. That was the end of that. Laundry can be send out, however they charge per item, not per load, per item. Every item had a different price starting at $ 4 per shirt. Housekeeping did a nice job cleaning. The place needs to be upgraded. I will not go back to the same resort!
I work in a travel agency and would never return to your facilities or recommend it… honestly it is very low quality their services they offer and in the very rude restaurants … take hours
It was not what I thought! They lack a remodeling in everything! And new ways to have reservations in restaurants.
Place is an absolute scam, no communication I received zero emails or voicemails letting me know my reservation was getting cancelled until I received an email after the fact. I immediately called them to pay the balance and they told me it was too late and my room was already sold, how did you already sell my room at 10:00pm after cancelling. I received no help from the people at their call center with no explanation on why my money cannot be refunded or my original reservation be upheld. Screw this place and their black mold.
Cockroaches, cold food, it's supposed to be all inclusive, but I had to pay $70 a day to lay next to the adult pool! My husband was very sick from the food. I had my property stolen which I thought was maybe just an accident, but I talked to four other people who also have their property stolen. So I'm not sure that it was an accident. My toilet and my sink were flooded every time I use them. I thought maybe it was just me until I heard other people in the lobby complaining that their toilet overflowed with their own feces as well. Waking up in your own bedroom with your own poop floating around you. It's not the way I want to spend my all-inclusive vacation that I work so long and hard to afford. Usually at a resort, we order a drink and get it. Not here, I drink for a quest for Matt with eye rolls and hesitation. Despite spending money to get our USA dollars converted into pesos so we can leave a proper tip for our servers. I love leaving tips for our servers, but here there was no point to leave a tip because they were annoyed and dissatisfied with my simple request of a drink. being somebody who has been to several resorts, I am so disappointed in The treatment that I received and everyone else that I talk to had also received. I did not leave on the first day like a lot of people did but I regret not leaving. Being in the cold winter right now that my state is having in the USA is better than the treatment that I received here in my favorite country.
Great place. Food is good and the rooms are nice and the staff is amazing.
Excellent attention from all staff. The facilities, the food everything perfect.
We spent one of the best family weekends.
Excellent hotel, good service, excellent and varied food and we had a super family time.
Food was ok, needs alot of work. You do not cater to GF restrictions, your staff thought was cheese related. Room outdated, unsafe decks to walk on, have tons of young adults 18yrs old, high school grads staying there drunk, not the best time at all.
Excellent service, great price, great view, great beach!
What more can you ask for!
Special customer service from KAREN de Carnival Bufet.
From the moment we got there we experienced superior service. Osiel is absolutely amazing, and no matter the issue or question he took care of our needs. The only con is that it is an older facility, and our initial room was on the first floor. It smelled like mildew/musty and the room was very very dark. Also, the wood deck around our plunge pool was sagging significantly, so we were afraid to walk on it. But we immediately requested a room change and they were happy to accommodate our request. Our new room on the 5th floor was amazing, with a breathtaking view. The food — from breakfast to room service was exceptional, and again, the service was top notch. I should note that because of the room type we booked we were Preferred guests, so I don’t know if that made a difference in the service or not, but we would definitely recommend this resort.
The only reason I would recommend the resort is for the service! The service was phenomenal, especially Osvel and Alex at the pool! Our check in was not smooth at all, rooms were given to people after we checked in before they were given to us. The resort itself is old and run down. The food and drinks were good. If you travel for service this may be an option, if you travel for a luxurious experience I would look elsewhere!
Fun and sun, very helpful staff! 😎
Excellent hotel 🤩
Beautiful facilities, everything very clean, good food, and excellent attention from all the staff.
Especially with Citlaly from the V. I. P. Area Super attention ❤️
Great location and staff is amazing.
1/19-1/23: The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, we had a preferred ocean view room, 965. The staff was absolutely incredible with special mention to Brisa, Citlali and Porfierio. I am a power wheelchair user and a lot of the hotel was not accessible. However, I don’t blame anyone but my travel agent. Hotels built over 10 yrs old aren’t required to be accessible and I learned that while on the trip. This hotel is 25 yrs old. The staff was beyond attentive, and went out of their way to accommodate as much as they could for me. They even carried me and my beach chair down to the beach. Would go back as the price is great for the facility. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a super high dollar experience.
I wish I could rate their facility separately than their staff. This hotel is old and has not been updated. And there are TONS of stairs outside. Our toliet made a weird noise and kept us up at night. It took them 3 times to finally "fix" it. The noise stopped, but then it wouldn't flush properly. The AC in our room barely worked. We never received bath towels or washclothes without asking for them either by phone or in the app. It took 4 different refridgerators to find one that worked, so we didn't have cold water or drinks until our 3rd day. The worst thing, our room smelled terrible. If you have any allergies to mold, do not stay here. (Once we arrived home, I had to wash our laundry 3 times to remove the smell of the hotel room from our clothing. ) With all of that said, most of their staff was AMAZING. The drinks were excellent. Most of the food was good. Pool service was great, expecially Alex. He is a one of a kind GEM! LOVED hanging out by the pool and swim up bar. The views here are beyond beautiful. We had a great time, but I probably wouldn't go back to this resort — unless I get a steal of a deal, cause I would know what to expect.
It is an excellent hotel, I exceed our expectations by a lot. Delicious food, great restaurants, quality drinks and good presentation. Many hypocritical people complain about the facilities and other details, I do not understand why they do not book in the Hard Rock and are so demanding. I do not understand q look in a hotel of these… the truth is a wonderful hotel, the staff is too gentle and friendly, the rooms are very comfortable. I have no complaints. It's so much more than I expected for the price you pay.
Entire staff is awesome. Marco the bell hop, Hernan VIP concierge, Alex pool concierge and Victoria pool entertainment help make our 25th wedding anniversary a very memorable and enjoyable stay.
Thank.
Excellent throughout, nice hotel and surroundings and its very friendly people in the attention.
Beautiful and clean hotel. Very friendly staff.
Excellent service in the facilities and restaurants especially Tito.
The staff is wonderful and courteous! From lobby to restaurants. Very friendly and polite.
Great experience, family oriented so bring kids, really nice. Awesome courteous service.
Extremely beautiful, peaceful, friendly, food was wonderful. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Excellent service, spectacular food, very attentive staff.
Excellent service and attention, a good option to enjoy with family and friends.
Best service I’ve ever experienced at a resort they literally thought of everything!
This is a fun resort, packed with activities with fun guests and staff. Nothing snooty about this place. Rooms are ok, nothing fancy, but the bed was super comfy, and although we were never in the room to use it, the TV was very large and had a great screen.
Beautiful place. Everyone so helpful. Room nice. Food good. Hope to come back.
Excellent beautiful service place.
A beautiful hotel inside and out, at first we arrived at the room was not a good impression, as the room was dirty but it was resolved in an hour, but by the time we enjoyed the pool and met the facilities.
Excellent service from the employees, they are very noble and helpful people. I'd definitely come back the next chance I've had.
Pools were dirty, housekeeping average, one elevator working, drinks were watered down, restaurants were not great. Spent most meals at buffet restaurant.
My experience at the Grand Oasis Sens was terrible! I traveled with a group of 10 people in August 2018 and we occupied 4 rooms. Every room had an issue: no ac, leaking ceiling, roaches, defective shower heads, balcony door getting stuck, etc. The lobby and other common areas were rundown and dirty as well. The level of customer service provided was terrible. Upon arrival, the lady who checked us in was very rude and refused to try and accommodate our large party when we requested for our rooms to be on the same floor. Every time we called the front desk to report one of issues mentioned above, no one answered the phone. The “gift shop” employee was exceptionally rude and disrespectful. The food at this resort was not impressive and inexcusably limited. The buffet opened at 6:30pm and when we arrived at 7 they were “out” of most things. The employees were in no rush to refill the food trays for their guest. At several times a day there was no place to eat. This is absurd for an all inclusive. By far this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
Cant complain much about the stay given the price point at this resort. In my opinion, it's a little outdated. Ran into some issues with the shower in my room. The response time on the was quick, they wanted no time in fixing it. The feel there was more of a couples resort being an adult only resort. I really liked the cigar lounge there, very good selection in Cuban cigars. Overall it was an okay stay the all inclusive was awesome and the convenience of what Cancun has to offer can be booked in the lobby.
Originally we had made reservations to Oasis palm because it was cheaper. We got there and they were too full and got us a free upgrade to Oasis sens. Probably the best thing that happened on the trip. Oasis sens is an all adult resort and it was so relaxing this way. The food was good but small portions so order more than one item! Had some amazing servers and some okay like most places. Overall the staff was amazing. We even had a few remember us and talk to us. They know English very well. One thing I found annoying was you couldn't bring guests in AT ALL. Our room was very nice except we found ants in it. We didn't make a fuss about it because there wasn't a lot. But kinda gross. Pool area was also amazing. Beach area was so nice. They clean the beach every morning and you can tell. Wish there were more activities going on tho throughout the night. Overall great great time. Thank you Oasis sens!
Stay AWAY from this hotel! Today is my last day at the hotel and I just can’t wait to check out already! My stay at this hotel was just terrible since day one I would not recommend this hotel to NOBODY! The rooms are extremely old, the curtains, sheets and towels had a musty smell. The paint on the walls were deteriorating and we had a leak from the AC (just terrible) worst vacation stay EVER! The food was just MEDIOCRE I was just so disappointed. They only have one buffet with very minimum options and the options were just nasty. Aside from that they had 2 other restaurants were you had to order and wait forever to be served (WHY?! ) their “night club” looks like you are at some cheap low class cabaret. I have no words to describe how terrible this hotel is.
My husband and I had the best time here… Of course he did Play boy Mexico were the guest of honor… Not for the uptight folks… Poolside activities were fun and nightlife was very interesting. Food good and customer service was excellent. Best vacation EVER 5 yrs today… We are thinking about going in October/November.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HoteIRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Great time at Oasis Sens we upgraded to VIP and our room had a beautiful view! We did have to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready, but we waited at the bar and Ernesto the bartender was the best! Also Sara at the front desk was very helpful too! Some restaurants close early so you have to make reservations for late dinner. You can only make reservations from 10-1pm. Overall great service! Friendly staff.
They advertised beach volleyball — didn't have it. They advertised stocked mini bar — we had one coke. After complaining they stocked it with 6 waters 6 cokes and two beers. The rooms were extremely hot. The customer service wasn't great. The bars (except for one) all closed at 6pm. All of the daily activities that they advertised didn't take place. The overall trip was only great because of the people we met. Not because of the resort. Extremely unsatisfactory.
I had a perfect week at this resort!
Gourmet and delicious restaurant
Room OK
Own site
Lots of entertainment and entertainment
Service OK
:-) I especially recommend to couples who seek tranquility (childless) and who wish to eat well.
Went for my birthday week and the AC was broken upon arrival. They told us it would be fixed by the next day but we ended of being stuck in that HOT room with no AC for 5 days. The food was mediocre, the pool was nice and led to the beach, drinks were pretty good, but ended up leaving to eat. The staff were pretty friendly. We ended up doing this “yacht cruise” which was actually a show on a pirate boat and I had to drink away the pain of watching it. I would recommend somewhere else but if you don’t mind this, go for it!
We are on day 2 of our stay. So far, not too bad! The water is beautiful! There are pros and cons to the resort, as any other! Pros = 3 pools, multiple restaurants, nice water Cons = took a long time to get our room, you need to wait in a long line to make reservations for certain restaurants Overall, I'd say a 3* resort.
My room has a musty smell, the bathroom sink is cracked. The bed sheets smell like old mildewy towels. The bathroom is so mildewy I used sandals to shower. Outside activities end at 6pm. Supposed to be all inclusive but 3 restaurants are at an additional cost. The beach area is also an upgrade, "Must be VIP". The staff are very rude and dismissive. I wish I could leave today, but I'm stuck here until next week. I will never ever come back to this resort and warn any and every person I can about this Tourist Trap!
Hotel is mostly nice, the cleaning staff and concierge were always so sweet but many of the bar tenders & some of the restaurants seemed annoyed-and we tipped even though you pay an additional "daily fee" so you don't have to to! The management and other aspects of this hotel earn the 1! We probably won't stay here next time. The 1st room we were given was on the lower floors and was very humid and air didn't work well. There were other bigger issues with the room that has to do with what I purchased. They did switch our rooms but the other room had the same issue. They offered to upgrade us earlier for a fee of an additional $1000 but when I asked for a room on the upper level after 2 incorrect rooms they told me there weren't any because they were booked to capacity. When I called them out on it and said well yes if you pay the fee it's available. This is the shorter version of a longer story. They did switch us the next day but it was still inconvenient and more than that it was the way in which things were handled. The hotel is nice enough, we were fine with the waits for restaurants and limited choices (i knew those things going in. ) Adults only hotel was VERY nice, the beach is NOT SWIMMABLE (which I was told on phone it was, ) hotel is a little older but that was fine, pools were nice, and food was not bad but there were issues with service every day. Too much to write. I probably could have given this place 2 or 3 rating except customer service is my biggest issue!
Beautiful spring with excellent food. Very nice room. Sea often agitated.
I would give it zero if I could. Checked in a 5 pm and the room was 85 degrees. They said they would take care of it. Came back to sleep at midnight and still 85 degrees. They said there was nothing they could do about it, except to say the a/c wasn't working. No offer of another room. Update, I guess this would be a good thing considering the situation. Took a shower to try and cool down, the hot water is colder than the room.
Nice hotel for couples. Recommended because there are no children. Adults only.
Beautiful view to the beach, a super fun place.
So me and my wife decided to book here for our honeymoon… DON'T. From arrival to departure we had problems. When we first got to the room our toilet was completely out of the wall being worked on. He wouldn't even give us another room for the time being. The first night I was showering and a worker used their key to come in my room just to offer me a drink. Awkward. I complained and the "manager" said he was sorry and that he would send us something to our room which he never did. I'm very observitive and notice the smallest things. So if you go and order any drink in the plastic cups they provide be careful. I literally watched the worker take my dirty cup, throw it in some dirty brown water, slosh it around to clean it and serve to another guest. Anyways moving on! The bed was hard as a rock, the "all inclusive" scheme that they advertise is a complete lie. Upon arrival she gave us a list of all the restaurants and bars and instantly marked off 4 restaurants and 2 bars that we had to pay extra for. FINALLY our last day rolled around and we had no arrangements for pickup to take us and our luggage back to the airport. Apparently the guy that was supposed to arrange that stuff forgot. I've been on tons of trips and vacations and this was by far one of the worst.
Beautiful hotel the bell hop staff are very nice. Now they couldn't find my reservation and were very upset with me about it even though I provided them with my res# pools are nice but the close at 8pm and they make u get out. Our toilet was clogged the 2nd day. We had to go find someone to get towels because the phone wouldn't work to call the TV only plays in spanish unless u watch the news in english captions. And its not all inclusive the nicer restaurants require reservations which are booked very quick and u can only reserve during breakfast hours and there was only one person taking reservations so that took a hour on top of the fact we paid an extra 61$ to eat at black hole. My trip isn't overfor another 2 days and I am ready to go now. There is a man at the buffet who makes omelets he is the best and super cute (personality) also vicky from the excursion desk she was very helpful. This is part one hopefully ill have a better time fingers crossed (room 822)
Excellent place to relax, good food excellent attention!
The hotel is ready from the beach, it is also 18 and older, so no children. Free Wii-FII is available in the hotel's common areas. The food is good and several good restaurants. The rooms are not all renovated but they are good. The staff is extra and the cleanliness is at its maximum! I liked my week here, several swimming pools and chairs ♡
Nothing to say an excellent place from the buttons that are at the entrance passing by reception, Garzón waitresses from restaurants and overall all the excellent staff nothing to say very good place to go to relax the excellent attention.
The hotel is sold as a 4.5* but it is not at all. At best, it is a 3*
The restaurants are really not that great. Not enough seatings. Only 1 restaurant for breakfast, very few for lunch, some are only opened on every other day. The reservation is rally not well organized. The customer service is VERY pour.
I don’t recommend this hotel AT ALL! It is not money well spent. All the people I spoke to during my stay were complaining. Not one had nice things to say about the hotel.
Even the beach is not that great.
Great time at Oasis Sens we upgraded to VIP and our room had a beautiful view!
Very nice hotel, in the pure tradition of Cancun. Various degrees of all inclusive. Several swimming pools, several restaurants, to be discovered everywhere in the hotel. If you are looking well, behind the hotel, side street, you will find a haven of peace…
The rooms are all different, with facilities sometimes uneven, but very large and always very clean. Large single bed or double beds to choose from.
In the evening you can go to the disco or take the bus for 12 pesos and go to the fiesta until more time in the city centre at 15 minutes.
Little advice, do not get caught peeing when leaving the box because it is strictly forbidden in Cancun and the fine depends on what is still in your wallet!
For deserved a 5 star there are several details to corrected positive side of free Wifi despite everything but also shortcomings like the March 17 general blackout 5 hours of small time maintenance problems in the rooms. At the level of the reservations of the restaurants to the map should be repatriated to the concierge and add 1 or 2 people, long waits at check in and for completed negative side compared to activities lack of activities for singles…
Very minimal service. 1 bartender at a bar, no pool or beach side service. Buffet was terrible. Can't get anything to eat after 11 and only 1 bar is open after that down in a nightclub. Tons of steps that aren't highlighted so make sure you are paying attention while walking. No food can be taken out of a restaurant/buffet to the pool or your room. Pool towels are scarce. Drinks taste completely different from bar to bar, no consistency. Check in was a little messy and not well put together. Views were amazing, rooms were nice but a. C. Didn't work well and there were gaps in the doors that you could see outside. The maids were great. Only get 2 bottles of water a day in your room and could only get extra bottles from the main lobby bar after having to wait in line for quite some time.
Exelente hotel.
exelent service.
recomemd it 100%.
Lousy from day one; muuuuy bad service. I was handed the dirty and messy room; bathroom is flooded; very bad food and little variety. Very poor attention from the waiters. Old facilities.
Regrettable everything; I do NOT recommend it.
Excellent for vacationing.
Please note that this hotel is only accepted by guests over 21 years of age. (Zero children crying)
Nice hotel. They don't accept children! Good atmosphere! Lots of employee care.
First room smelled very musty and unpleasant. After being given another room, the second room was the same but had a lesser smell so we settled because we assumed all the rooms were like this (later we found out that other rooms had no smell. ) Other problems I experienced were: leaks from the roof, weak water pressure and the shower faucet breaking (which we had to call several times for them to actually fix). Oasis boasts "over 50" restaurants or however many but in this resort there are about 10. The only restaurant I recommend going to is the Moon Plaza or whatever it's called because they actually serve good food. There were many other problems I experienced here but all in all, I do NOT recommend staying at Oasis Sens, choose another resort folks.
Don’t let any negative reviews scare you away. This place is priced just right. All inclusive takes the worry out, direct flights now from Kc to Cancun makes it convenient. The food was decent. The drinks are great. My room was clean, good shower pressure and hot water. Planning to go back very soon… did I mention this place is so affordable — Adults only — All you can eat/drink-Foam pool party — Night club in the resort — Live music — Friendly staff… I loved it.
This resort is beautiful! Adult only resort had many activities and active night life. Hidden pool on one side and 2 pools in a different area. One with swim up bar. Top shelf alcohol and friendly staff. The only reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the rooms are damp. My room had a pool under the sink and we heard from several other people that the plumbing was an issue. Also, it was all inclusive, but unless you upgraded to the VIP package, you were limited on where you could eat and places you could go. VIP guests could go anywhere and do anything, including Jacuzzi area. We did not upgrade but still had a great time.
I didn't live there but excellent food.
The hotel has a very friendly and helpful team, they were very helpful to ensure that we could make the most of our short stay and we could get what we were looking for, a restful rest. The best was the room with sea view, that wonderful view that Cancun offers can be enjoyed without having to get out of bed. The hotel is located very close to the famous dolphin beach. I would not recommend it to people with any motor difficulties (disability or injury) as the main areas of the hotel require the use of stairs.
Great place for Adults only.
Grand Oasis Sens has horrible air conditioning. When we arrived inside our hotel room, it smelled moldy. Room air conditioning was not working and the mini bar was not working neither. Shower tub drain didn't work, we had to call someone in to fix it, which they didn't so we managed to fix it ourselves. We booked our mini getaway with 5 other girls and out of the 7 of us, 4 of us got food poisoning/food virus, so we decided to eat outside of the resort the remaining of our trip to avoid any more sickness. Hotel needs a whole lot of updating & hire more staff to control the hotel. The resort is huge, but it needs a lot of work. We were also confused about who has VIP or upgraded rooms. No one advised us about upgrading and the benefits they have if we upgraded our stay. I love Mexico, people, culture, atmosphere is amazing, but will not be visiting Grand Oasis Sens, sorry.
Beautiful beach, clean hotel, buffet 3/5 and a la carte restaurant 4.5/5 Sian Kahn House ordinary and a lot of walking on the site.
It's the endless Pow Wow. Noises and still noises, stairs to go up and down all day. At the bar there is no water, piña colada, ice, are the glasses washed? A place for lunch 30 mins for eggs. Work all day long. No change in US dollars. Very clean though very old. The Mexicans are super friendly, friendly the hotel staff really work hard, unfortunately they don't have the tools to do more. Bravo to the hotel staff, the owners could do a lot more. I do not recommend at all.
Stayed at this resort during our stay in Cancun and was very impressed. I was a bit weary due to the ratings and reviews, but the hotel was very clean and modern. I loved that the hotel was adults only. The food could be better, the quality wasn't so great and truthfully we stopped eating at the hotel after the first night. The hospitality and service are great though, besides the food, we had no other complaints.
If you want to have a good time this is the place. The amenities and events definitely cater to the grown, sexy and open minded. The staff is very courteous and attentive. On the other hand the room I stayed in was not the best. After speaking with other guest, I summed up that even if I switched rooms, I would still be displeased. I felt that the room was not clean enough and there were ants by the front door. There was an odor which left me to believe there had been some kind of water damage in the past. When I called initially to change the room, I was told he would have to speak to his manager. They sent housekeeping and she did the best she could, but the room needs a little work. I would not stay here again unless they did a complete renovation.
No AC, no hot water, no wash cloths. Rude staff. You would think that an all inclusive resort would be much nicer. All the restaurants were basically cheap buffet food. Hot tubs were gross. Coffee bar was nice when there was actually someone there manning it. Save your money and don't stay here.
I had absolutely amazing time here. Ocean was right beside the resort, the food was great, staffs were nice. The only thing that I didn't like there was the noise from the club right above my floor which continued till 2 AM (there weren't that many people left after midnight) which I think could end earlier. What made my experience really special here and the reason I am giving 5 star despite the noise issue is that the help provided by Emilio at reservation desk. He went above and beyond (spending over an hour) to help with the problems I had even though it wasn't something that the resort was accountable for. He pretty much saved my vacation which could've ended up as traumatic experience, so I can't thank him enough. I am definitely going to visit this resort again.
This hotel should be called Oasis Smells. The whole place smells like mold. Some of the rooms have a lot broken and in need of upgrades. Very few of the staff even look at you or want to help. It's a real shame because this place could be awesome. The need more staff and better quality staff. One of the elevators was totally dark inside. I will be posting pics as well. They really push the paid options and won't upgrade even when rooms are available. There is no difference between the plus room and the regular. We did make the best of it and had a good time.
I contacted the hotel reservations dept via email several times before my arrival with various questions & requests. They were always pleasant & accommodating. The hotel was beautiful & the room romantic, and we enjoyed the activities & nightly entertainment so much. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The sushi bar outside of the pool was very convenient for a quick snack, and we enjoyed playing ping pong while our sushi was being made. The staff even brought baby sea turtles for everyone to see & hold. We had a great time here, and we will definitely be back!
Beautiful resort with lots of pools and bars. Service here has been amazing and the food is very good. Free tequila tasting in the cigar club on Saturday and Monday nights — awesome experience and it gives an appreciation for tequila, without having to shoot it back. The beach is clean and serviced. Lots of events planned in the pool and the night club in the evening. Very worth the expense of staying here.
Air conditioning was not working when we arrived the offered to give us a room over looking the street or fix the air. We opted for fixing the air. When we returned from dinner the air was still broken and there was just a large puddle on the ground under the A/C unit. We called the front desk to tell them that the air was still not working and they said they would send someone in the next 5 minutes. 30 minutes later I called back and again they said someone was on their way. Finally at 1 am the repair man showed up and we had fallen asleep by then. When I asked to speak to a manager in the morning I was told he was busy and I could write my complaint down and someone would contact me; which I have not received. Do not stay here.
Excellent value. This was my first experience at a resort so it may not be quite as informed as others, but if you're looking for a good place to party and chill then this is a great option. At one point, we had a great time napping on their pristine stretch of beach. At another, we were taking body shots and sucking chocolate syrup off of topless female friends we had just met. If you weren't in that one pool bar though, you wouldn't have known of the debauchery. This was an excellent place to let loose. Also, the food was consistently good and occasionally exceptional.
We are frequent visitors to Cancun… 12 times in 10 years. This hotel is 1/2 of all the others. Hotel is dated, and needs a facelift. Pools are taken care of. Beach is trashy and unmaintained. Staff was dutiful but not happy. Our A/C worked (but was told by other couples theirs did not) to keep the room at 75, but made puddles on the floor for dripping condensation. Ants came in through the door way. The lock on our door was broken. Food was a 3 on 1 to 10. I Would not recommend this hotel.
First time staying in Cancun. We stayed at Grand Oasis Sens. I came across all these reviews after booking, and I was so nervous before our vacation — — but I'm glad we went anyway, because we LOVED it! Upon arrival our bags were taken to our room, champagne was poured as soon as we walked in, and we started check in right away, 10 minutes total. Yes, no AC in the lobby area but doors are mostly open so you get the ocean breeze. (Besides, how much time do you spend in the lobby? Who cares? There's AC everywhere else) Room was very clean, cold AC, fully stocked bar beer, wine, champagne with snacks daily, clean towels, spectacular ocean view. Concierge provides information on restaurants. Good food, our favorite was moonlight and the breakfast buffet. Went to Kinky bar 2 nights in a row, great live entertainment. Saw the sea turtles lay eggs on the beach from the pool deck (incredible! ) Awesome pool parties, the alcohol is definitely flowing! We had excursions planned during the day, both picked us up at the hotel, since it's located in the hotel zone that made it very convenient. When it was time to leave, check out took less than 5 minutes. There was a transport shuttle already waiting at the front, and took us straight to the airport $25, it was seamless.
Iv been to better. The hotel had only 1 buffet and that was for breakfast. The rest you had to make reservations or wait to eat. For an adult club the entertainment sucked. Only one pool party smh. Their kinky bar was wack. Same music every night. Same boring activities. None the less we my husband did enjoy our trip. We made the best of it.
Bad service in question does not measure the amount of guests and food, an hour for lunch and the food 4 restaurants and more than one hour. At the time of the food, the menu of desires much, simple but rich food.
We stayed Monday June 20th — 25th of 2016. Good: the hotel food, wait staff, bartenders and especially The Sian Ka'an staff were amazing. Cannot say enough good things about them. Bad: The hotel is very dated, all the The restaurants are all very small and the best restaurants reservations are gone in a heart beat. We tried all week to get reservations at Benezuza for dinner and where never able to. The Ugly: Tuesday we got an 8am call from Freddie saying we need to meet him in the lobby to review Expedia and to go over the benefits of our bracelet color. Instead he sent us in a taxi to the Grand Oasis Cancun for a 2 hour long timeshare meeting. Was very unhappy about this. Also on Tuesday we asked 3 different people to check our air conditioning as it wasn't working properly. The first 2 times we were told someone was looking into it, the third time we were told our room was going to change and we never heard anything of it. Wednesday my wife got sick from what we guessed was the fresh vegetables. Friday night the hotel decided it was appropriate to have a wedding reception 10 feet from our room. We were very upset as we wanted to have an intimate last night together but we're not able to. After an hour of complaining and waiting we finally got moved to another room for the night. Overall this hotel has the potential to be a 4-4.5 star resort but they fail and all of the little things.
DISCLAIMER*** If you are even a little sensitive to warmer climates DO NOT STAY HERE UNTIL THEY UPGRADE THE AIR CONDITIONING FOR THE ROOMS! We moved from our first room because the A/C could not get the room temperature under approximately 76 degrees, and the second room was just as bad. I have lived in Houston, TX about three years, an area with summers just as hot and arguably even warmer than Cancun, so the climate adjustment was not an issue. Outdoors, the ocean breeze keeps things at an acceptable temperature but the rooms were stuffy and would not drop below a temperature of about 76 or 77 degrees so prepare yourself for that if you stay here. That being said, everything else was absolutely amazing. A great value for what we paid and everything else was great. White sandy beaches and bright blue waters, many different restaurants and bars to try out, and a fun, energizing staff. They have 3 pool areas with three stages: relax, party, and rage status. The third is open 24 hours a day. The staff was all amazing and the reason I still felt 5 stars is a fair rating. I don't want to take away all the hard work and effort the staffers put into making this place great because one of the big wig is too cheap to improve the air conditioning in the rooms. There is something for everybody at this fun, relaxing, and unique resort.
Despite being a modern and luxurious hotel, we had to relocate because the central air conditioning was not working. Its staff but rather dissatisfied because I relocated the Palm oasis that is older and has worse location.
BE WARNED, this resort will over book their rooms and will not honor your booking. After much research, we had decided to booked a room here 2 months prior to our vacation in April 2016. When we got there, we were told by the receptionist that they had over booked and did not have a room for us. They wanted to send us to another one of their hotels that I had decided against early on in my research. As I'm going back and forth with the receptionist trying to get them to honor our booking, a couple of ladies arrived to check in and they found themselves in the same situation as us. It became clear that the resort was not going to honor our bookings. I was lucky I booked thru Travelocity, who compensated us by getting us a room a higher rated resort (GR Solaris) with the same exact amenities as our original booking, at no added cost. There were 2 other different vacationers we ran into during our vacation that had gone thru the same exact situation as us at the Grand Oasis Sens. I would recommend to stay elsewhere or at least contact them a day before to make sure they have your room available, though even if they tell you they do, it wouldn't surprise me if they still end up not having a room available for you when you arrive.
We paid $2400 / PP, all in advance. Hard earned money working 16 hours a day. This is a truthfull and to the point review of the hotel, and I'm not going to include the typical resort problems like "guests putting towels down on pool chairs at 5am", or complaints about Cancun or Mexico. They call this resort the "pleasure" Resort, and "Oasis loves U". This is the "NO" Resort. NO A/C anywhere except the rooms, I loved heat and humidity, but no AC in restaurants, including the sweltering basement buffet is unbearable. NO Dinner reservations; 7 days here and they would not allow us to book any due to non availability. Other restaurants have an hour + wait times. Which leaves the same meals everyday. Luke warm, or unavailable dishes. NO Regular room cleaning and restock. One day we didn't even get our room clean. 4 seperate times we had to ask the front desk for water because we couldn't get any to the room. Front desk was annoyed. With us… NO Bandaid for my wife's toe when she smashed it due to HORRIBLE lighting and damage everywhere. Front desk told her it would require security to be called to issue a bandaid. NO Wi-Fi. $14/day they want. Although alot of the serving staff are great, alot of reps and Manger type are not. The most friendly bunch are the time share bandits trying to get you on a tour to Grand Oasis, which we were told from fellow travelers is garbage.
Staff was extremely attentive! They made sure we were happy and gave us excellent service! Our room was beautiful and the floor never became moist! The food was very delicious and such a wide variety! Entertainment wasn't bad and they do welcome all LGBT community. Kinky Night Club was not aimed towards straight people so I felt pretty uncomfortable and left the club. Overall experience was wonderfully. So, why the 3? There was no air conditioning in the main lobby and half the rooms (mine had a/c) and the second reason a water pipe bust in the room next to us and flooded our room plus at least 3 other rooms (staff was fast on the scene to clean up the mess) and my last reason is because they have black mold growing everywhere! I had asthma and I thought my asthma was triggered by the sudden change in climate, but once I smell it coming from our mini fridge and once I saw it on the ceiling in different areas of the resort I knew then that my asthma flair up was caused from all the black mold! It's not often that I have a flare up so I don't carry an inhaler. I have been home for a couple days and my chest still feels tight!. In the US they would be shut down. Not sure what their regulations are in Mexico! Black mold is dangers so go at your own risk. Seems like they need a management team to fix all their repairs!
Good hotel with workers who do everything they can to help to pass well, nothing is perfect in any side, remember that the food varied and good, good beach, but mostly good attitude of its workers, which is important.
This is by far the worst resort I've ever been to — in the fact that you do not even get to go there. My friend and I book this resort, we are two young professionals just looking to relax. We got there and they "over booked" the resort. They made us leave the resort and go to their sister party resort with kids puking everywhere. All the people made to leave the resort where 35 and younger. They have been over booking this resort for months now as the same thing happened to someone else I know. I would not book this place as they will down grade you to a sister resort (grand oasis cancun).
Poor service as well as food, during my stay stole me money, lenses and my cell phone in the room, it was not interest the Manager for trying to help me, said that it was my fault for not leaving things in the safe. The hotel nothing special.
Good afternoon:
Hotel SENS CANCUN OASIS… IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED!
It has a very bad customer / guest of the hotel-unless you are American or European-all the signs at the site HOTEL in Cancun — Mexico — Spanish speaking country — are in English. —
To fuck.
The air conditioned breakfast room / dining room do not work at any time of day.
The food is mediocre.
The drunks and people screaming at all hours of the day and night.
Bad predisposition to solve the drawbacks — made claims of loss of water in the bathroom and nothing… (the floor a lagoon).
I offer to appease spirits, coverage of three days of Wi-Fi — which is payment — no cost… When we check out, it is included in expenses.
The reserve which was made from Argentina disregarded it. — we wanted to send to a Hotel chain which is for children.
They are unpresentable.
It is minus 1-
Very bad service… The concept is good and the heavenly place. But you spoil it with elmal service… A package contract from October to Easter 2016 2015… And arriving at the hotel came out so there was no room… I moved to another hotel in the chain with lots of noise and children… Dreadful food and the staff is trained to resolve not… I'm in the Sens Oasis just since yesterday. I reassigned back but they have not respected the reservations to restaurants and the Deputy Director is never… Unfortunately there is a management and they do not resolve… I definitely do not recommend it… If you can look for other options or take a bad taste… Say me the locals and employees that this is in the year that there is an endless
tourists who are removed annoying.
Tremendous crap in general hotel.
This is the worst resort. Not only did they serve us contaminated food and water which led to my husband and I getting violently ill and having to leave early, but they were difficult when we needed to see a doctor, would not refund us for the days we did not stay, and Sunwing tried to charge us $450 USD EACH to change our flights — RIDICULOUS! I ended up getting us flights home for $500 CDN total — less than half what they were charging us for a flight change on their airlines. Worse still — you think you're getting warned about the timeshare sales representatives at the airport, Grand Oasis hosts them in their lobby and they whisked us off to a 2 hour sales pitch without our consent. That should be considered basic kidnapping. worst resort ever. We will not be visiting Mexico anytime soon.
Absolutely fantastic hotel. Things are run a little differently them you may be used to in terms of how to you access the restaurants and buffets but once you find your way away everythimg was excellent. Great food, Modern facilities, Clean rooms, fantastic food. Beautiful beach. I would visit again I'm a heartbeat.
If* you don't have major problems with your reservation at check in, you will likely be pretty happy with everything else. Two years in a row, we have travelled there with a group, and, despite having confirmed our reservations pre-trip, once we got there, we were told 'there was an internal booking problem' and they had no space for us and we would need to go to one of their sister resorts. (But the offered alternative is not adults only. ) Both years, we held our ground, stalled for a few hours, and eventually got into our rooms, but, wow, talk about a frustrating start to a vacation! Again, once you get in, you will likely be pretty happy with the resort given that it is a really good financial deal. Most of the things that will drive you a little crazy (like not enough beach towels or not enough dishes at breakfast are not all that important in the long run). Many of the staff members in the restaurants, bars, maintenance, etc. Are outstanding & try their best to fix any problems you may be experiencing. If they can assure me the reservation problem is fixed, I will likely go back.
A month of start which should have been a lovely stay at your hotel, I continue waiting for PCs or the Agency provide to us a response to rape that made the 276-room door early on the 12th of January and the theft of our cell phones. It is impossible that a hotel of this category does not have a camera that can show what happened. Or they simply hide it? The only thing they told us is that sheet reading not threw another card has opened the door. Does that mean that the door was not opened? No, it means nothing more than "plate reading not threw another card has open the door". That is your only answer, I Meanwhile suffered a financial loss of 28000 Mexican pesos, I spent a horrible morning and today I wake up startled in the morning. What was your solution? Block me on Facebook so that none of this is made public.
We were at the Sens last week of January. … we had a great time! Yes the resort is older but the staff was always cleaning & doing maintenance repairs around the grounds, beach and inside areas. The air conditioning worked in our room… understanding that the heat & humidity is so high that it's hard to keep up. We always had very friendly staff… from the bell hops (Guadalupe & Fidel), the bartenders at the pool (Mauro & Armando) & Daniel at the sushi bar… everyone was always nice & professional. The food was very good in the buffet & the other restaurants. The only problem we had was checking in, as we were directed to the wrong area… other than that we had a spectacular time & will rebook for next year.
The show struck! Nice hotel, service, food. Recommend!

The place is in terrible shape the pictures offered on websites are old not current. If we had known what this place looked like we would have never wasted our hard earned money to come here. Not happy very disappointed was offered a beach bag with our upgraded reservation none to be found. The staff is ok a few are simply amazing the rest I have no use for. I would never stay here again. I most definitely recommend any place but this one!
