Hostel 94 Hostel

Great location and friendly staff! 10/10 customer service. My wife and I stayed here for four nights and had a good time. Booked the private room on the third floor which was spacious and had a huge patio. The included breakfast was very basic and the cleaning services weren’t the best to be honest. Besides those two things, couldn’t really complain about anything else. A/C blew cold and the Wi-Fi was very fast. Highly recommended to all budget travelers!

This site I do not recommend it to anyone the beds are riddled with bugs and the staff leaves a lot to be desired.

Location is great, employees are nice, rooms are spacious, and there’s a nice balcony for you to chill in the mornings/evenings. I’m giving this 2 stars because the owner I did not like. Another guest had a complaint of bugs biting him (i had no such experience) and had pictures of so and rightfully wanted a refund and the owner only wanted to give him a partial refund and said to the man “let’s go to the room” (a day later after they thoroughly cleaned the room) to act as though he was just making the problem up. Very unprofessional.

Very good location — it's the living part of the city, also hostel is near bus station, beach, shops… Staff is very pleasant and friendl. Kind regards and recommandations =)

A hostel with good quality price. The room was very clean and comfortable. The sink (for 6 people) of the room was very small and was easily flooded. The hostel has a kitchen with 4 hotplates, oven, microwave etc… Highlight the rooftop, where you can drink something fresh. Very friendly staff!

A hostel with elevator/lift … Very fine. Very well located. Lean breakfast from the cereal dispenser. Nice beds in the multi-bed rooms. Relatively large lockable boxes. (As always: Bringing padlock. ) Very clean. Free Wi-Fi works well here. One minute to the coast.

The best place to meet people and have fun with them. Not the best to sleep. Good location to move among Sliema, St Julians, paceville…

Very friendly and helpful staff.

I had great fun here. Both the staff and the people were really nice. It's a safe, clean place. You can pay by credit card. You can use the kitchen. Nevertheless, I'm not entirely sure what breakfast means here because it's not served traditionally. There are tea bags and a bread basket, that's all.

Serious cleaning problems. Point by mites during my stay. Exposed the problem by mail I get no answer.

Poor breakfast quality. There is no staff at night and the though guests do whatever they want at night. You cannot sleep.

Great place to stay in Malta. Manager Steve is a really lovely man He gave us all chocs on Xmas day.

We booked a room with 4 beds and they put us in a room of 8. It was really dirty and stinky including our toilet/bathroom. Breakfast is jam with bread and corn flakes. It's full with dubious people: guys fighting with their girlfriend at midnight or people that snore during the whole night. Somebody even stole our blanket the last night. I know this is not the hostel's fault but I suggest you think about this too before you book.

Hosts were fantastic lady's both making me feeling welcome from the moment I arrived. Room and facilities were first rate, spotlessly clean an comfortable. Location was also so convenient to bus transport and a short walk to that beautiful Mediterranean Sea. I could never day enough about my stay there. The place to go when visiting Gozo. We stayed in private room (brown room). This hotel took us as emergency, when our hotel was overbooked. Hotel is about 50-100 m from beach. Room was nice, clean, had 2 mirrors, AC, TV, waredrobe, table, chair and two new beds, that could be connected into one or separated. We got blanket, pillow and a towel. Bathroom was nice and newly renovated. Big surprise was that from bed you can switch off all the lights in the room — with one switch :) Moreover, there are two outlets for plugs from continetal europe — in case you miss the switch. This is great great plus. Breakfast consisted of bread, sweat cake, jam and cornflakes. You could also make coffee and tea. There is also refrigerator that can be used by guests. You can also use rooftop — we ate our breakfasts there :) It's true that it used to get very loud at night, due to the thin doors and echo. I recommend earplugs. Cons — the water was always cold and there was very low pressure. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will recommend this hotel to my friends.

Don't go here please they are jelouse. One day they asked me for help to change to another room becouse they found a group to stay in one room and then I helped them. The next day they fired me feom the hostel from the morning. Take care tourists and students.

We stayed in the private room which was 80 euros per night. The location can't be more perfect and the hostel is clean and nice. Breakfast is basic but OK, cereals, coffee, tea bread and jam. The kitchen is small but OK. They have reception open from 8 to 6, if you arrive after hours they leave the key inside and there is no explanation whatsoever on basic stuff such as when breakfast is served or whats the Wi-Fi code which could be a) emailed b) posted on a sign on the walls. They apparently do want you to pay before check out so they slipped a paper under my door asking to call at reception and emailed that as well. The room is clean and has a terrace, a bed and towels but that's all. There is no towel for the floor or for hands, which is just basic. They can coordinate a taxi for you. There is no official luggage storage but you can leave your luggage on the common room. There is a bathroom in the reception but they close it at 6 for some reason, we asked if we could use it as we were leaving late and they refused. For 86 eur per night which is what it amounts to with tax and the other tourist fee the experience was far less than average…

Hostel 94 I had good time here it is really nice hostel you can find friendly people it is clean and free Wi-Fi breakfast and it is very close to all areas if you want go out for enjoy.

I had planned to stay here 1 night, but eventually I ended up booking nights for my whole trip! Friendly staff and has everything a hostel needs (ofc subjective)!

The owner is very pleasent and does his job like a professional. The rooms and the bathroom are very clean and tidy and it doesn't feels like you're sleeping in a hostel. The breakfast which was included in the price was also ok. Also I've really liked the the roof. Its a place where you could chill with your friends. I highly recommend it :)

I have been here 2 times everytime been great cleaning is excellent and even the stuff are always friendly they also help you out with things in hostel and also help you if you need to plan a day out in malta. I'll give them 10/10 for effort kindness cleaning. The best thing is don't have to worry about breakfast all done for when you wake up great place and will always go back every year.

I stayed here for three nights. The only downsides I came across was that the blankets smelled like cigarette smoke and the shower in my room was not the easiest thing to use as the shower head was no longer able to stay on the wall. Besides those things I had a fairly nice stay. The room was well kept and the cabinet they gave me was big enough to keep what I had to locked up plus there was an outlet right by my bed which wasn't always the case in other places. The best part was probably the access to a balcony I had from my room which I believe had 7-8 beds (bunked). The staff was also really nice and understanding when I arrived later than I said I would.

I have stayed in this hostel for a week and it is a real good bargain for backpacker in Malta, which has only a few hostels. The location of Hostel 94 is perfect, just 3 min to waterfront and bus station. So you can just base in this hostel/area to explore the islands by bus or do day trips from Silema easily. The Silema neighbourhood is very quiet but lively. For the hostel, I m surprise to see an new elevator inside the old building which made easy for backpacker to go to upstairs without climbing the long stairs. The roof top is a plus to enjoy the sunset. The self serving breakfast (with cereals with milk, bread, cake, tea or coffee) is included in the price. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The owner Steve and Andrew is very friendly. Some ppl may complain about the room without air-con but my dorm room is airy and night is quite cool in Malta, there is no need for air con in my case. And it is a very good place to meet people, highly recommended.

Currently on my 2nd night of 4 here at the hostel, and I'm loving it so far, starting with the fact that the "bunk beds" aren't attached to each other, making the beds nice and non squeaky or bothered by your bunk bed roommates. Breakfast included, super location and overall excellent hostal!

Staying in this hostel was just an amazing choice, good location, clean, breakfast&towels are included for free, warm and friendly people with good hospitality, highly recommended.

Set in the heart of Sliema it is the ideal choice for anyone wanting to visit Malta. Would recommend to anyone hands down, the best hostel I stayed at.
