Although everything worked, let me just be honest by saying that the villa (and the hotel too I suppose) is very dated. Almost everything is old school; water tap, shower cubicle, bathtub, iron, hairdryer yada yada so only come here if you are okay with living in the 90s.
How do they survive then? Because they were smart enough to upgrade the pool. It’s huge and has a small waterpark for children. You think children care about tired looking room? I don’t think so. Throw them in the water and they’ll be ecstatic. If the public pool is not for you, each villa comes with its own private pool. Small but good enough if privacy is your thing.
A few issues caused inconvenience for us though:
1. Wrong address on Waze and Google Maps so if you are heading here, make sure you type Holiday Villa in your GPS and not LaVilla.
2. We had to move from Villa Sabah to Villa Perlis on our second night for a reason that I prefer to keep private (the management should know what I’m talking about).
3. Power outage on a Sunday afternoon which took an hour to recover.
Staffs are helpful, attentive and friendly. Rooms are a bit dusty but facilities are good. I stayed in one of the villa with private pool. The pool is fine and my kids enjoyed it so much. The theme park is also great and kids friendly. However, I suggest the beds in the room will require regular cleansing as there were bed bugs.

We stayed at Kelantan Villa. We do enjoyed staying here. However, do bear in mind that the 2 bedroom villa are separated outside. It is not like 1 house with 2 bedrooms inside. Good thing is all the villa has a reserved parking spot. The villa is kampung style with a nice view & well maintained landscape. The hotel public pool and mini waterpark is also accessible by those who stayed at LaVilla which is a plus point. Hope the hotel can do some improvements like put dustbins in the hall and bedrooms instead of only in the bathrooms. The plugs and mirrors position in the room are not so user friendly. Also, it is better if the hotel can place additional lights at the pathway to the villa as our balcony light is not enough to cover at night when children are going up and down the stairs to enter the villa.
