This place is currently under construction. Though there was no construction noise while we were there it was definitely and eye sore to see scaffolding everywhere. Food over here is overpriced as expected at any hotel establishments on holiday islands. Service can be a hit and miss. We asked for glasses to be sent to our room and nothing ever came. The beach which is private and only for the hotel guests is the only thing that we loved about this place.

For lovers of peace and quiet with exclusive, almost empty beach and great pool area. Thankfully, a separate pool area for noisy kids and families. Wonderful sunsets with a drink from the adult pool bar. Good food both at the Chef's Table and at the Sands restaurant; worth the above-Malay price level. Note that rooms are without elevator and you have to do a sweaty climb for 3 floors.

A very relaxing Holiday Inn! With a clean and beautiful private sandy beach, you can enjoy the beautiful views of the coast without interference from outsiders.
You can also watch the sunset by the beach in the evening. There are three swimming pools and restaurants in the hotel, as well as a free gym and paid massages.
Rooms are also very clean, service staff is very polite and polite.
The hotel offers a buffet breakfast (some of which have a free breakfast included), meals are OK, but if you stay for a few days in a row, you will find that the types of meals are similar. The only drawback here is that ⋯ is far from the lively place or downtown, so I intend to arrange a lot of itineraries in Langkawi, I suggest not to choose this restaurant, choose here, enjoy this rare leisurely bar!

Great resort, beautiful location with lovely views & grounds. The staff were very friendly & helpful, always on hand. The spa is superb & the near deserted beach fantastic.

Clean and we'll design rooms. Building is a little old and is walk up. Ask for sea view rooms if can. Great facing to theit private white sandy beach, breakfast is normal.

Fabulous location, real serenity. Very good service from the hotel staffs. Rooms are spacious and clean. Only negative comment that I would like to add is that the food at the restaurants are a little pricy for Malaysian standard. Would definitely go back.

Awesome, serene hotel with very good service. We did not stay there but we visited the private beach and reading room cafe. Staff was very helpful and coffee and cake made our short evening very memorable.

It is wonderfully, clean, isolated, for relaxing and enjoying the sea… clean beach and lovely crew… the negative point that it is very far from market… you need to rent a car for flwxibility.

Hotel is very large, room facilities are good, but the face of the sea room is too few. Hotel Beach is very big, unfortunately sand in general, breaking feet. Breakfast variety is more, valuable things are not.

Awesome place for a holiday. On the expensive side, but it's worth your money. Beware of your belongings, we lost cash in the room and though we launched a police complaint, we didn't get the money back. Please ensure that you don't leave your valuables in the room, even if you are in the resort. Except for this incident, it was a fabulous stay, food is great, views are breath-taking and the beach is really really clean and nice. Best time to visit is from October to January.

A great place to relax, you could happily stay here for a week and never leave the hotel. It has a massive adult only pool that sits next to the beach and is serviced by the Sands Bar. It has a really long happy "hour" that lasts all evening with lots of half priced drinks. There is another large pool on the other side of the hotel for families that is also on the beach. The beach is great, there are water sports and loads of photo opportunities. There is a good spa and gym. The rooms are large and we'll equipped with a very comfy bed. The reason it only has 4 stars is because the staff communication appeared lacking and confused at times.

If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy magnificent views, exceptionally delicious food, friendly passionate staff, then look no farther than Tanjung Rhu resort. Private peaceful heaven!

Wonderful cosy resort. 52 rooms and suites. Only drawback is no Wi-Fi available at the resort. Surprising since rooms start from rm900 per night.

It is a resort that sure you will refresh after take a short vacation in this resort. It's quite, the location is quite deserted that have private beach, that really2 clean, The service and the staff are very helpful. The beach panoramic similar the panoramic in Krabi, Thailand.

Had dinner here. Was not as good as one would expect considering the place (nice hotel). The price is of course more expensive then local restaurants, a chicken dish and fresh juice for about 70 myr. Still an OK price. The salad had no seasoning and even though the plate looked fancy, I liked the local restaurants more :)

You can really expect more for the Price. Overall, it is very good, the Food is also very good, a beautiful Beach with a unique Sandbar and attentive Staff. But If they were reasonable Prices, then there would also be 4 and 5 Stars in the Rating, respectively. But it was just too expensive for That. Many Ascents don't even have Elevator. In The Stairwell are the empty Plates of the other Hotel Guests. The Rooms are really very nice. But actually you don't need this because you want to lie on the Beach. Towels and Loungers are free. Half the hotel stands empty and is like a Ghost house. Construction Work should probably begin there at some point. The large Pool is also not illuminated in the evening. It seems like being one of the last Guests before closing. Overall very quiet and you can also have a good Time there. You have to be aware, though, that really all around is just Landscape. No other Restaurants or Bars. With Grab and Uber, you can drive on the Island, but nobody usually gets lost there. The Shuttle to the Airport is also offered by the Hotel completely overpriced as a collective Transport. We liked it there, but for the Price I would have expected otherwise.

The hotel is 30 min drive from the airport. The beach is clean and the sea is warm — those are the best things about the hotel. We stayed there in December. Currently, the hotel is under renovation but the construction work doesn't cause any noise. Our family thought that the hotel is overpriced.

Very beautiful place, has a private beach, the environment is very beautiful, recommended to stay. Restaurant things delicious, but Momo miscellaneous very very sweet, non-local more difficult to accept.

Very nice and spacious rooms. Excellent service. Beautiful beach. Definitely one of the nicest resorts on Langkawi. There is no elevator in the buildings, so going up to the 4th floor is quite tiring. Half of the resort is closed for rennovation currently. Some guests tend to just leave their dirty dishes with food rests on the floor in front of the rooms, which attracts insects, animals and generates some unpleasant odour. Maybe providing some dirty dishes pick-up points on each floor could be a good solution.

It is a very nice and quiet hotel. It has partly come in little in the years, but is mostly renovated this winter. The hotel is located just outside the most beautiful beach of Langkawi. It has three pools, one of which is for adults only, three restaurants and several bars and free kicker, billiards, tennis and volleyball.
From 17.30 a. M. To 11 p. M. At happy Hour, most drinks are available at half price (for example beer for 1, 70 euro).
It is possible to book a transfer from the airport for 10 euros per room and way. The check-in is done comfortably in the room.
The rooms in the main building are recommended. These are very large and offer easy space for 3 people.

A retreat and santuary — beautiful beach and pools with great food. The staff are excellent, very friendly and welcoming. Needs a little facelift but very charming location.

Situated quit a distance from the town, but still the quitness bring the joy to whoever came to stay over. A very helpful and welcoming staff, but still it has it very own specialities. The quiet evironment bring the best of it.

This is a quiet resort, sat on the north of Langkawi in the Andaman Sea. The resort is not cheap and can very much be considered a luxury resort, but doesn't always feel like it when looking at the buildings. Before it was converted into a hotel, it used to be an eye hospital and still has a somewhat clinical feel about the resort. However, the facilities are top notch and the spa a very welcoming place to unwind and be pampered after a stressful day of doing nothing. The resort has a number of restaurants which we found to be high in price but not so justifiable in experience. That said, there is little option. You can get transport into Langkawi's centre to visit the mall, although this will probably be a short lived experience as this is a fairly small island.

Starting to look a little dated but they've renovated some of their rooms to give it a more modern feel. The all you can eat package is still a very good deal but you have to ask for it when you book the room.

Seven months pregnant & rejected from using the deck chairs on the beach as a willing paying customer. We stayed at the Andaman Resort whilst in Langkawi, but wanted to explore the island a bit, so asked a taxi driver to show us some of his favourite beaches. One of the beaches was split between the Tanjung Rhu Resort and a public area. We thought we would have a drink & sit on one of their deck chairs for an hour or so. We got stopped by a security guard & waved to leave. When we spoke to him, he told us we couldn't use the deck chairs, they are only for the guests. He said, we could have lunch at the restaurant instead. We replied saying we just wanted to have a drink & use a deck chair for no more than an hour & were happy to pay for the use. We were told it wasn't possible & then finally told it would cost MR700 (US$165) to which we replied we would like to speak to the manager. We were led through the grounds to the lobby — the hotel is looking a bit tired on the outside, needs a paint job. The manager told us it was not possible or alternatively we could pay RM600 this time — apparently half of the room fee. We've travelled all over Asia & other tropical destinations from Samoa, Vanuatu, Thailand, Japan etc and we have never been rejected like this before. Usually a drink or a small fee is customary. We had a late night flight in Samoa & stayed at the Sheraton from our check out at another hotel all day for $10 per person.

Beautifully located resort. Very helpful staff. We ordered cocktails which were nice and strong but served in plastic glasses even though we were sitting at table at bar, maybe because in close proximity to pool. The chicken satay tasted ok but little meat on the sticks! It was a let down especially the chopped cucumber and raw onions … This is a 5* resort with prices too accompany that, presentation is important.

Very stylish resort that needs a little renovation but is still a laid back hotel with glorious swimming pool on the beach.

Excellent resort, the beach view is the most amazing in malaysia and the service (bar / pool / restaurant) is the best I have ever had. A very nice team (visited in 2015)

The hotel is tucked away in a secluded corner of the island and is a virtual paradise. The long private beach is amazing. The food is of the best quality. It is simple, elegant and luxurious with large rooms, good room service and staff who look after you in a friendly and courteous way. A holiday to remember and worth visiting repeatedly. Wow!

Great location. A great beach, a big area with fish in ponds, birds, lizards (not scary at all), and even varanom, big, beautiful pools. Sunbeds is always enough.
The room was very comfortable. The bath always has salt for the bath. The breakfast was good.

There is a 3-minute walk on the beach to buy a tour in the Mangrove jungle, and there's a tasty, inexpensive Malay café (very tasty cooking), and it works about 17. P. M.

Nice and Clean Room, room is big suit. Good location and nice view. The hotel is nicely located on a private beach. There is no mess like the main beach where the restaurants and bars are. Even the hotel is a bit far from town but it worth of staying.

Watch out for strong currents.

Beautiful beach. The view is amazing. Not crowded at all. Some shops and restaurants only at the entrance. Some shade available on the eastern side (trees). Jellyfishes in the beach and on the water near the entrance — just go right towards the river and the water will be clean.

2 km of private beach. Super clean water and beach area. Outstanding view. Nice staff. No noise pollution. Highly recommended for complete break. Couple friendly, family friendly. Adult pool for above 12 and family pool. Thumbs up.

Better than indonesian beach Id recently go. This is my 1 year stop holiday.

An amazing place to stay for a "get away from it all" luxury break. I'd say this is very much a couples/honeymoon destination, although we did see a few families during our stay and two sisters who love this place so much that they visit every year! My two highlights from our stay were the beach and the food: I've been to some beautiful beaches in the past but the view you get from Tanjung Rhu's private beach is something else — there's even a "path" which appears only when the tide is low and you can follow it to get to a tiny neighbouring island. The food was 5 star, even something basic like a pizza was made that little bit extra special. Another great bonus was that the all-inclusive package includes 24-hour room service at no extra cost meaning you can eat on your own time. My one issue during our stay, and the reason I've rated this a 4 stars instead 5, was that the hotel was undergoing some renovation work so we didn't get to utilise all of the features, but out of what we did experience, it was amazing. I would love to stay here again when the renovation work is complete.

The beach is located on Privatgeund. To reach it you have to register at the entrance. The beach is very nice and quiet. You can run very far out into the sea.

What is more beautiful than the waves with a string quartet at the side.
